  • In this video I assemble and do a first impressions review of the 5 foot CountyLine Round Back Rotary Cutter (bush hog) from TARTER Farm and Ranch Equipment, sold at Tractor Supply. This is perfect for small to mid sized tractors like mine, from 20-45hp, with PTOs that operate at 540 RPM.

So thankful! I thought I was just an old man when I couldn't understand bolts!!
Didn't have that big of wrench/socket either, but..!
Mine too, was the "last they had", and they didn't know they had it!?
BTW, the didn't even know (I knew) it needed 80-90 gear oil?!
    Thanks, I have it now...

The whole time I was putting it together, I was worried I should have spent more $$. But, I've used (and slightly abused, as you've ssen in my other videos) it a few times now and it's worked well. It does what it's meant to do without complaining.
Thanks for watching and for sharing. We're not old; just "seasoned". 😉 Have a fantastic day.

Very informative for me, being a total Nube! I’m still getting used to my new Kioti 2620. I’ve done mostly dirt work, but I have my eye on this cutter for the extreme weeds we get in wet seasons. I need to watch someone do the job I’m needing to do, versus just reading the instructions. I’m glad I found your channel. God Bless!

I had to buy a socket to tighten the lower 3 point hook up. After using it and was taking it off for the season I noticed one was just about ready to fall off. I used a crescent wrench the first time because I didn't have big enough socket or wrench. So I also used an air impact gun with loc tight. They must have so many different variations of their mowers because mine is a little different than yours being the same size

Thanks for the heads-up. I'll keep an eye on those to be sure they aren't loosening up. And thanks for watching. Have a great day.

On the gear box.. The lower nut that you removed and wait for the oil to come out and then put the nut back in. Do you stop there and put the top nut back in or keep filling up to the top nut?

Once the gear oil starts to come out, you stop there and then put both nuts back. Having this type of setup is common on gearboxes in place of a dip stick. Hope that makes sense.
Thanks for your comment and for watching. Have a fantastic day.

@tartertv @tractorsupply Please watch this video for feedback about my experience with your product condition and assembly. Hopefully, this is not your customers' typical experience and impression.
