  • Not sure how to train directional cues? This course will show you two ways (one using barrels and the other using food bowls) to teach directional cues on the flat away from the agility equipment as well as show you how to transfer the skills to the obstacles.
Directional cues allow you to tell your dog when you want them to turn or go straight independently of your position on the agility course. In this course, you will work on building "hard turns" and "soft turns" as well as teaching the dog to go straight. A hard turn is a very tight left or right turn after an obstacle whereas a soft turn tells your dog to turn slightly toward you or slightly away from you after an obstacle.
These directional cues are vital for running contacts and distance handling, but they are also invaluable other places on course: at the tunnel, weave poles, and jumps.
Train at your own pace when you want and where you want! Since the lessons build on each other, you can work through them in a relaxed manner, one after the other.
