    0:42 No such thing as a 'living' virus ;) What I meant to say was 'intact' or 'virulent' or 'infectious', but maybe 'living' virus sounds better for understanding ;)
    So would you consider a career in vaccine research and development? Let me know below!

    BIG congrats on 4K SUBS!! 🙌 and I must admit the main thing that drove me here is the elephant in the room... new channel name!!!!
    Love it. Will definitely still miss the Biomed Master though. But I think now I’ll see YOU as the Biomed master and your channel as “Biomeducated” 😎

    Hi, After graduating from biomedical laboratory science bachelor how can I get into pharmaceutical formulation,R&D or Quality assurance job

    • @Biomeducated
      @Biomeducated  Před rokem

      Once you graduate you just need to apply to positions in (bio)pharmaceutical companies that are looking for lab techs with a BSc for those specific job descriptions. For pharmaceutical formulation in particular I think it's best to have some experience with that from you bachelor's internship then. Or perhaps study pharmacy instead of biomed.

    Dear Sir, thank you very much for such videos like this. May I ask you a question. Currently, I am having a homework assignment about design a mRNA vaccine protocol for the treatment of Covid-19. The deadline for it is January 11th and I don't know where to start because there are many things to know. Can you give me some advice, Sir? Hope you are going well in this pandemic!

    • @Biomeducated
      @Biomeducated  Před 3 lety +1

      That is very close to the deadline you are working there! ;) What do you mean with the 'protocol': the strategy to deploy vaccinations, or the process of development in pharma, or how the research was conducted, or which steps were taken in order to test the safety and efficacy, or...?

    Please the difference between (BSc)biomedical science and (BSc)medical microbiology?
    What is the more required major between them in the market for the next 10 years and which has better and more job opportunities ?

    • @Biomeducated
      @Biomeducated  Před 3 lety +2

      Hi there! Uhmmm, I think microbiology is even directly more specialized than biomed. Biomed can also give you the option to go into microbiology. The real question is more: what are you planning to do after your B.Sc? I think you can do a M.Sc in microbiology if you have a B.Sc in Biomed, but not (or harder to do so) the other way around. Maybe send me the links between the 2 courses you had in mind?

  • @lifefan1
    @lifefan1 Před 3 lety +1

    Omg. My head is really messed up right now. There are so many interesting majors in biology and I don't know which one to choose 😔. I have no one professional about this topic to advice me. Can you help me finding my major? Ok. I wanna research aging, evolution, cures for diseases, lineage of the world population, creating new species.etc. As you can see, I am really messed up. Which major should I choose? Biotechnology, genetic engineering, bioengineering, computational biology? I want a flexible one because I don't know yet what to choose. In Turkey, universities have "molecular biology and genetics" , "bioengineering", and "biology". Maybe I should choose Biology then specialize in Masters degree. I don't know. I wanted to study Europe since US is soo expensive, but it seems there are no biological major taught 100% in English. I am so disappointed and nervous these days even I cannot sleep. Could you inform me please if you have time?

    • @Biomeducated
      @Biomeducated  Před 3 lety +1

      1st of all, you're not messed up, you have a broad interest in life sciences, and that's OK ;) I believe there are some options for international students to get into full English programs in Europe, but you will have to look a bit. Depending on your interests, I would say that biotech/biomed/bio-engineering would be your best options. The computational part will be more and more integrated in all aspects, BUT perhaps you could chose to go in that direction e.g. after your B.Sc. If you would go in Turkey, then the 1st 2 are the best for you. The 'biology' one is too broad and usually covers things like ecology and specific animal groups, because the other ones are sub-biology specialties that became so prominent on their own that they are separate majors nowadays (back in the 1970's all you had was biology, in which then you could specialize for example in molecular biology).
