    there is an oil drain plug on the left side. if you drain it only by the plug on bottom that has the oil filter, a lot of of oil will remain in the engine

    I gotten the high performance Naraku cdi and it gave it a huge boost of power then upgraded the transmission with the same company with 5.5 gram rollers got more power don't lose power going up hill. Removing the spacer in the exhaust pipe gave it better air flow added to the top speed can now go 50 mph 40 to 45 up hill. Thought I would give you an update now that I've done it and tested it out for a week before letting you know.

    Off topic but you respond back and seem to know your stuff here.. I am a 2019 kymco agility 50 it's going 30mph. Just ordered a naraku performance cdi box to easy district the scooter then going to order the Naraku variator kit will I need to use different oil and gear oil after that? Also how much will this improve my scooter? Thanks bud for this video

    • @Subariblet
      @Subariblet  Před 5 lety +2

      You will not need to use different oil or gear oil. Just simply changing out the stock variator drive boss to the unrestricted drive boss will bring you up to 38-40 mph and it only cost $15 or less. The performance cdi is supposed to bring the rpm up from 7000 to 9000 which would increase speed too, but I have not had any luck with those. I never noticed any difference by trying different cdi's, but maybe you will have better luck.

  • @Sidg2
    @Sidg2 Před 6 lety +2

    Does all these 3 oils have almost same viscosities and can be interchangeable as a gear oil in transmission of 110cc gearless scooters.
    SAE 10W30 engine oil ,
    API GL-4 SAE 80W-90 gear oil and
    GL-4 SAE 90 grade gear oil.

    • @Subariblet
      @Subariblet  Před 6 lety

      I don't know but it seems like I've heard something like this before. However, once you get past 100cc, I believe you need a different viscosity.

    • @King88_8
      @King88_8 Před 4 lety +1

      Sidg2 No, the viscosities are different. Gear oil also has sulphur additives for pressure hence they smell,like rotten eggs. You can use engine oil but for transmissions use a 75w90 or 80w90 gear oil. Its also overkill to change gear oil with engine oil.

    Is there a was to check the gear oil? My Kymco 150 is leaking a small amount every day. It’s new so I am wondering if it was overfilled at the factory. They leak appears to be coming from above the drain plug and the fill.

    • @Subariblet
      @Subariblet  Před 3 lety

      It shouldn't be leaking straight from the factory. I would check to see if the two bolts are tightened that you use to fill and drain the gear oil. It may be possible that one of them was stripped at the factory causing it to leak out.

    • @Busywave
      @Busywave Před 3 lety +1

      @@Subariblet thanks for the reply. The leak seems to be above the drain and fill plugs but this morning my ABS light came on and stays on and also the speedometer and odometer stopped working. Are you kidding me? You don’t need to have a “professional” to do an oil change on a 50cc scooter. Just drain, cleanse filter screen and refill. Takes less than 5 minutes. It’s not necessary to remove both plugs because they are both at bottom of the crankcase - you never get 100% of the old oil out no matter what you do. Just do it every 6-12 months depending on usage. Keep it simple
