Big thanks to Baumalight and Martatch for the demo units! Specs for the equipment can be found in the links in the video description.
You have just epitomised the saying - the difference between boys and men is the size of their toys. The size of your grin operating your new toy just proves it. Way to go fella!!!
haha this thing sure is a blast to use!
Wow that smile you have on your face is like the one I had the first time I ever drove a 360 o turn lawn mower 😊😊😊
I was shocked how much fun it is to operate. I've drive other equipment but this thing with the joystick controls was something else
Yeehah! Look at you cruising down the lane, smiling, letting the wind blow through your hair! Fun day at Sandy's! 👍😁
Hahaha
Honestly that looks better built than the main brands you see like bobcat, Vermeer, ditch witch…ect
Wow pretty cool buddy.must of hit the lottery hey.lol.wish I had one.I've never seen you smile so much.like a ride at the carnival.
Congratulations Sandy 🎉. They are a blast to operate. I've got one myself. With the right attachment , it better than a swiss arm knife. Baumalite couldn't have sponsored a better better guy to show off their product. Cheers 🥂
Thanks for that I appreciate the support!
Never have I ever seen more of a smile… congrats on the new equipment addition!
Thanks Jamie! It sure will be fun while I’ve got the equipment
Yeah buddy.that’s a pretty big smile
I think I"m hooked on heavy equipment haha
Hi Sandy. Wow!!! Looks great for maneuvering heavy logs around in tight spaces. Looking forward to seeing it on the trails.
Turning in very little space is what impressed me the most
I just saw the 12v outlet on the dash, so now you can get a heated coffee/sludge mug for the colder months.
Hahah this machine is made for me
Hello Sandy. That skid steer looks like the right size for your property. The only thing I would want is a waist/shoulder strap/harness that when connected to the machine would not impair my movement with the controls. Have good days!
Hey there Buddy Reed!
Fantastic new Equipment
Nice to see that you're getting more items to use around the sawmill and make things much easier for your self ..
Thanks Paul! Will be a great tool to have around for a while
Wow! Awesome new toy….. sorry, tool! That will be so much easier to move around in tight spaces vs the tractor. Very cool and impressive machine.
It sure moves around hood in tight spaces
Cool tool Sandy. That will be great for working in tight spaces.
I agree with ya there!
I didn’t see a sludge holder on there lol
hahha I better get better at driving or my sludge will be everywhere
Sandy, appreciate your sharing. I'm really excited for you about the new mini-skidsteer. Stay safe, strong and wise in Jesus's Name. ☝🙏🙌💪👍
Thank you Jerry! I appreciate your support
Maaaan, you are going to have fun with that.Enjoy
It sure is a lot of punch in a small package
Good job sandy look very happy with your new toy. You’ll be able to get a lot of work done with that.
I think so too
I know you got a lot of saying about the little skid but what i like the most is that grin you were having the whole time it does look like fun and easier to see what your doing and not as scary for tipping it won't be long though you will have it on it's tippy toes and you standing up in the air lol have a great day have fun make it dance but play safe enjoy
Lots for me to learn for sure!
Hi Sandy, Awesome little feller, Needs a name how about "Mighty Mouse" one of my favorite cartoons when I was a kid (around 64 years ago ) LOL John Toccoa
I like it!
Great tutorial Sandy of the Baumalight mini skid steer. Definitely a very useful tool for various applications around the property . Congrats on the new machine. Cheers my friend 👌🏻🔥🇨🇦
Cheers!
Looks like a great investment for your property! Congrats,
Thanks William. It’s just on loan so will be going back eventually but will get lots of use in the interim
Yeah not feeling the tipping so much as from the tractor is nice. But you'll still find with that much power when you'll pivot forward really fast so enjoy but be careful. Thanks for the great work.
Thanks for coming along for the video
yes, I also seen that big smile on your face and I also believe you will be using that as your main machine for awhile. You enjoy. And great explanation again.
Thank you for joining me on this video Noel!
Hi Sandy. Great video! I’ve been watching Jake at Dude Ranch DIY with his Baumalite and now you with yours. They appear to be a very versatile machine. The lift capacity is impressive. New toys… oops I meant tools, are always fun!
Surprising the weight behind this thing
Thanks Sandy
Thanks for coming along for the video!
That smile - haha, good on you
Thank you
Congratulations on your new toy.
Thanks Doyle!
Good to see you happy Sandy.. Fun day :)
Thank you! Sure is a great day!
Nice looking machine sandy! Baumalight makes some great equipment
Absolutely ! I keep drooling over the harvesting setup you’ve got
I had that approximate same Hp motor in my Lake Superior boat. Mine was a 3 cylinder Volvo diesel. Super fuel efficient. No speed merchant but could get 7-10 miles per gallon @ 8 MPH. Most boats measure in Gallons per mile. Lol. Good luck with your new toy!
hahha I'm familiar with boats as I've had one for years as well and I know what you mean about gallons per mile haha
Sandy, you most definitely 👍 will be able to get into tighter spaces with the new mini skid steer 😮😊❤
I've found it's night and day with the tractor just due to visibility and turning being so tight
MM77 Approved 👍🏼👍🏼………………………………………………………DANG!! Before long, you will have ALL the toys! LOL……………………………Yes sir, I should have known, made in Canada! You truly are the Canadian spokesperson for industrial/forestry products and that’s no joke.
hahah
That looks like alot of fun operating.. your gunna have a hell of a time trying to out run the mosquitoes, black flies and the infamous horse flies..
I’m going to have to Jerry rig a big net lol
I'm glad your name is out there enough that you're getting things you can use to better your life and channel! If it took a little work to contact people I'm sure but it's paying off now, Sandy!
Thanks for all your support Brad!
I would’ve never bought my sawmill without having my skid steer, the tractors, nice and all, but you can’t beat a skid steer
Skid steers sure are handy in the tight spots I’m finding
Nice machine there Sandy just be very safe they tip easy I've seen it happen a few times. 👍👊
Thanks for that Tim. Yeah I'm certainly learning more and more each time out on this thing. I'd hate to learn the hard way though
Congratulations Sandy, that looks like a really neat piece of equipment. I am a little jealous, but happy for you at the same time. Hopefully since the reviews you do for equipment are so detailed and unbiased, you will get these companies to keep giving you these things to use and review. ( Just guessing, and love your content. )
Thanks Wallace! Couldn’t have continued do things I do without good folks like yourself
The Baumalight will be nice to use loading the firewood deck or the log deck at the sawmill 👍👍
I'm looking forward to that for sure. Sure gets around in a tight spot nicely
You are officially ; Man of many toys. Nice little rig.
Thanks Rod!
Great Looking Addition Sandy.... I can see a ton of uses... Enjoy (ballpark cost)
Pete 🇨🇦
Hey Pete! Hope all is well with you! I sure have the wheels spinning in my head with projects coming up. The small size and quick turning will make this thing an awesome tool to have around, especially in all the tight trails I"ve got
Wow, nice piece of equipment, looks like fun to operate. 👍 so😎😁
Thanks Del! I had a blast running it
Nice Sandy, you have the best toys by far. I am sure this will make moving totes much easier.
I'm looking forward to giving that a thorough try out for sure
can see the advantage and adventures
only reservations are the standing especially on a long time project
but see advantage in retrieving saw logs in the forest minimum damage to ground
Absolutely. I'm looking forward to getting it into the woods where my trails are smaller. This should be easier for me to do work without the fear of rubbing up against trees
now that the ticket
I'm thinking this will be a great addition for sure Rodney
I knew Baumalight from their stump grinders, the mini skid is a new to me. I never knew they made them. You had a grin as big as Canada. You are definitely going to have a blast on that thing. Congrats. Good vid. Thanks.
I sure can see the appeal of tracked machines like this. The small foot print and stability are what I notice the most right off the start
youre killing me here...lol
haha
Rented one of those last fall! Great little unit - just needs counterweights and it can be a little bit rough to drive. But they have a lot of power and a lot of fun to drive.
Sure can do a pile of work in a hurry. You watching the leafs as we speak James?
@@sawingwithsandy not tonight. I work right beside the rink, so I tried to make a swift exit home before everything started.
Congratulations Sandy, A top of the line unit, perfect starter to a Bobcat T650😂🪵🇺🇸
Thanks for checking out the video. It sure is a blast to use. I'm thinking it's going to come in real handy
No drink holder! 😂 Forget about it 😮
Send it back! Haha
Stop hogging it Sandy the rest of us kids want to try it. Seriously that is awsome some new adventures to come.
hahah Just driving this around was a lot of fun. I suppose Better do some actual work one of these days
Nice addition Sandy,
Thank you!
My son in law considered Baumalite but went with Bobcat mt100 just for the difference in travel speed. His farm is spread out, and barn cleaning scraping 18,000 sq ft needs the speed.
I haven't driven it yet
The mini's sure are handy. Can imagine he gets a lot of use out it with the 18k ft.
2 min in and I already love it
It sure is something else!
@@sawingwithsandy I've heard that name before, do they make a rirewood processor or a forrestry mulcher for skidd steers?
They make a bunch of things ranging from stump grinders to tree harvester heads to tractor mulching attachments.
That little guy has some real power 🔋 😊😊😊😊
It sure does pull it's own weight around here
Baumalight makes excellent products. I love my Baumalight stuff.
Hey there! I agree with ya there! This thing is stout!
Fun!
Fun in the sun today
nice...
Thanks Pete!
That machine is the ticket, it will be easy on the body for sure.
Sure going to be nice trying it out in the tight trails
That is a lot of future fire wood you just moved!!!
It’s like looking at my future heating bill
Awesome!
Should be a lot of fun!
Good on you mate! Happy for you there!!!
Thank you!
Wow, very nice machine. Great video!👍🏻
Thanks James!
Good addition.
Thanks Mike!
Nice machine. There will be no getting away from the flies on that thing. 3 mph is slower than walking.
Thanks Noel
Impressive little unit, congrats and I'm sure it will serve you well.
Thanks Alfred!
I can see this as a great thing if you are towing your mill around to peoples properties to do cutting for others. Or just at your own place. Good addition to milling. Did you mention the price? If you did I missed it.
I think it would be great for towing around the woodsplitter or sawmill since I can turns easily with it. It goes for around $47700 cdn
That’s way cool. Doing what you do, this will become your new right hand. I wish I had a need for one (and the money to get it) but don’t have either right now. I’ll live vicariously through you until my ship comes in. Boys and their toys, lol! 🥸👍👀✅
Hey Joe! Thanks for coming along for the video
Cool toy, beautiful weather on that day 😊
Sure was a great day to be outside on this day
That's awesome, you're getting quite the line up of equipment. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it.
Thank you! I’m hoping to give it a thorough work out
Good afternoon, Sandy! Skidsteers are a blast to run. I've operated both foot control and hand control ones, but never a stand-up. Your grin says it all! Have fun and be safe. Greetings from Peterborough.
It sure is a blast!
Mini Machine - Max Smiles. Go get them Tiger! 💛
Max smiles for sure!
The big cheesy grin @10:44 says it all! 😂
hahah
I'm betting a grapple will be one of the first attachments you get.
100%
That thing looks like it will be a blast! Can't wait to see if you can pick up a full IBC tote and move it around!
I'm looking forward to trying that out too Earl!
WELL, it looks like you got a new toy, hey? I've never operated one of these so it's hard to say if I like it, or not. The downside of skidsteers for me is the lack of visibility around and behind you. Standing on the unit solved that problem. The spring loaded platform you stand on... I'm guess the machine stops if you step off or are thrown off. That's a good safety feature. One thing, you had an exceptionally high center of mass when you lifted two logs high enough to put them on the stack. I would suggest moving very slowly under those conditions lest you roll it on its side.
I'm guessing you can get the adapter/attach plates so you can adapt other equipment to it; i.e. your rotary mower, a blade, grapple... well, basically anything you could attach to a skidsteer.
Take your time to learn the machine, and enjoy it!! Now, we need to get you into a good used, Kubota KX-040 excavator.... I'm guessing the crawlers are tensioned by springs, rather than a grease filled ram, like your mini-ex. Keep an eye on their tension. You don't want to roll the crawlers off their rollers and sprockets making tight turns at low speed.
Hey Carl! Thanks for checking out the new machine. Yeah there's a tonne of attachments for this including adapter plates to run larger attachments on them from things like skid steers or tractors. It sure is going to get a lot of use as it's really nice for might trails
Hey Sandy, you looked happier than a kid a christmas getting his first Tonka truck, that seems like one fantastic machine and I am sure a great asset to the you, it will help make things much easier for you, I am sure you will put it through its paces and see how it benefits you most. Looking forward to some more videos staring your new Baumalight.
Thanks Wayne. It sure is a unique piece of equipment compared to what I"m used to. I like the visibility and easy controls
Very nice Sandy, I know an arborist who has one of those, a different brand but they are very impressive little machines!
I'm very impressed with it!
Nice little machine. First time seeing one. Money will spent I say.
I'm very happy with how easy it was on the first go around
That's a nice little skid steer. I'm curious if it will pick up a basket of firewood seems to have a lot of lifting capacity and I'm sure you will find a lot of uses for this new machine
I'm looking forward to trying that out as well Jeff.
Nice, really want to see how it works as a loader. Congrats!
I hear ya there Andy! I plan on getting some logs and firewood moved around with it before long
OK good, want to see the Grapple... Nice machine..
For sure. I'll have the Martatch grapple on it before long
looks to me you got good usable lumber mixed with firewood there. be interesting to see if that thing can dig a decent hole for a dugout cabin near a fishing hole.
Yeah lots of the logs there are pretty good so will have to make some lumber from them
Nice unit but you'll def need some rain gear down the road. Haha.
Haha that’s for sure
Not a mini, but my Bobcat T190 has been the best tool I have bought for the homestead build. If you're on dirt/gravel/snow/mud you can't beat tracks as long as you have the right tread pattern!! Mine was a used and abused one, but that just put the price in my range. Learned a lot rebuilding it. You'll have a blast with that lil guy and you'll find yourself wanting a 60-75hp in no time! 😂❤
I already think it needs a partner as the loading and maneuverability of these tracked skid steers are unbeliavable (coming from a tractor person)
@@sawingwithsandy they are also a new addiction. SkidPro makes amazing attachments. Very robust, able to take a severe beating.
Hi Sandy!!😀😀
She is a sweet little buggy!!
I'm sure you are going to find it so handy compared to your tractor.
What's the list price for her??
I'm finding it has some huge advantages in the tight turning. It lists for $47700 cdn
That is certainly a great piece of equipment. What other attachments did you get?
A bucket, forks and grapple. I'm looking forwarding to see how they all go.
Send it back. NO sludge cup holder! Rubbish. ;) Nice bit o kit otherwise. Take care & stay safe M8.
I almost had to reject shipment when I saw that too haha
Kid in a candy store.
Pretty much sums up me whenever I stop by an equipment dealer haha
The folks at the channel Dude Ranch DIY have that same mini skid the are using attachments, forks and stump grinder come to mind
I think I've seen this unit there as well. Looks like he's getting good use of it too!
Have i got what you need lol
hahah you and I think alike
Woah....$ 48,000. I think the Chinese models are a more affordable option. I know, you get what you pay for and that's great when uou can justify the price.
Yeah with a use for it the price would be more manageable. It's cheaper than my tractor if I were to buy brand new
Cool little skidsteer-like thing. Maybe I missed it, but what is its lift capacity rated at?
From what I could tell it's a bit over 2500lbs without an attachment if I'm reading things right on the specs
But your tractor does that no…..
But I understand toys 😅
Big advantage is this will do the work of the tractor but in a tighter area and with less ground impact. I find tracked machines have the upperhand compared with wheeled equipment when out in the woods.
Could that smile get any bigger?
I don't think I can hide that one lol
38 grand?? That’s a rich man’s toy! Looks cool though
Sure is a handy tool to have around!
GreT machine. What kind of price?
This unit goes for around $47,000 cdn
Sorry for so many comments, but what is the max lift height for that mini skid steer. If that info will be in a future video then never mind I will find out with everyone else.
No worries Wallace. 76"high
@@sawingwithsandy Thanks.
Is this one of Brian Baumler's products?
It’s different company but I did run into Brian Baumler one time while I was shopping at Walmart lol
