No it's not mites it's like cattle lice it happens in the spring, if you rub them down with diatomaceous earth. The ivormecton is good for worms and other parasites but the diatomaceous earth works best on the skin. And you can use the food grade stuff, It works really good. There hair will start growing back within days
@Citytohomestead Also, if you do this in the spring early, you won't even have this happen. I rub my cows and my goats. And my pigs down with it. It really works well.
