    very very nice work. in fact their are a few talented folks out there working on this. I really like you gave some details on how the system works. really helps people who are researching. I am also working on a few cell designs my self and I also see that this could make one hell of a space heater. Thanks again for the post.

    It looks like you have a 4 plate separation between + and -
    Try this setup with 2 more plates on each side of the negative plate to lower the temperature and increase efficiency. Or at least make sure you stay within the 2V between each plate. A cell warmer than room temperature means you are wasting energy. Thanks for sharing

    Reducing KOH concentration will lower the flow rate slightly but the heating problem can be solved. I generally use 35 to 55 grams in one liter of distilled water, the temperature never goes above 40ish with ambient at 30c.

    wow best out/cell area fuel cell ive seen great work really congras im working on doint one myslef quite a bit smaller i just need 800ml per minute for my car so thats what im aiming for at the moment sut one question how many neutral plates do you leave between pos and neg ones? have u tried differente set ups on how many u leave in between so far my best has been with one noutral between pos and neg but ive seen many use 3 or more so i might be doing something worng :P any ideas?

  • @hydrophoenixx
    @hydrophoenixx  Před 11 lety +8

    This is a key feature. The holes in the plates are offset. They are not drilled in the center of the plates. When you alternate the offset holes it forces the water to travel over more of the surface area of the plates.

    It looks more than 1.76LPM but I watched a Portugese video with a beautiful looking wet cell design claiming 6-7LPM with a gauge but it didn't look that much. I thought maybe he was using an ounces per minute gauge or something like that. Yours APPEARS to be producing well but your bottle test says otherwise.

    • @jonathanhobson7534
      @jonathanhobson7534 Před 5 lety +1

      The optimal voltage for the electrolysis occurs around 2 volts. The positive and negative plates are separated by plates which are neutral and split the voltage to get the voltage between each plate closer to 2 volts. A higher voltage would require more plates between them to bring the voltage back down to 2 volts. Not to mention that car batteries are typically about 12 volts usually a little higher so it is simpler to keep a 12 volt input.

      The best use for all of these devices is as an on line on demand gas burner for welding or brazing etc. because you don't need to have stored gas in rented bottles like Oxy/Acc......any other envisaged use is a pure extension of your vivid imagination.

    • @gangleweed
      @gangleweed Před 4 lety

      @@troystutsman1400 It's not the cost of producing gas, it's the electricity you use to produce less energy than you put in.....if you can't understand that then do a test and you will see what the score is. If you are a land based user then any form of electricity is good to go, but as some keep thinking for car mileage improvement it's a no go situation.
