Donnie has a musket because its like a version of him in ancient Sengoku era. Ninjas are known to use firearms so that would be what this Donnie would be, the sniper. Its the same with Leo, you make both of them have the alternate ninja weapons with the ninja mask/helmets, then that would be them in the Sengoku era. And Splinter would be a ninja disguised as a wandering monk which is probably why he has that hat. I have these guys in their ancient ninja getup to go up against Neca Usagi as some other ninja clan for him to fight
