    I personally do not recommend washing a bike,I keep it in the garage and detail it.Rusting parts,and shorting out your ignition,can be a problem.By the way I have the same bike, awesome.

      Bingo. Keep water away from your bike parts as much as possible.
      Wash it by hand, and carefully.

    Nice bike. Be very carefull with that pressure. Step back, create a safe distance so the water doesn't hit the bike that hard. You got the tools to an easy wash, so take it easy.

      It’s a $150 electric pressure washer. What kind of of PSI do y’all think this thing puts out?? A garden hose puts out more water than this

    • @180FiftyFive
      @180FiftyFive Před 3 lety +7

      Dont pressure wash it. You can spray it without pressure on wheels and the body panels, but everything else will get ruined and potentially corrode inside (electrical components and cables, bearings, brake lines, fasteners and bolts etc)
      If you have such a nice bike show some respect for it and spend the time to wash it by hand.

    Don't pressure wash your bike. You will mess up the electronics, brake lines, bearings and cause other corrosion. It's not a car where everything crucial is generally hidden and protected by panels. At most, you should use non-pressure spray. Your silly leafblower won't get the water out of any crevices the water got into, and water shouldn't be beating at high pressure on those exposed components in the first place.

    • @Mattbarttt
      @Mattbarttt  Před 3 lety +6

      If I go 150mph after a wash do you think I’ll get the water out?

    • @trsskater
      @trsskater Před 2 lety

      You can use a pressure washer as long as not super strong. And even still if it is strong you can still do it as long as you stand farther back. The pressure of the water falls off quickly with distance. You don't use a pressure washer to push dirt off your bike. You use it to cover the bike in water. His pressure washer isn't putting water anywhere it wouldn't get at less than highway speeds in the rain. You can't even hit your car with water that is too high pressure either. Just be smart and its 100% fine.

    • @iamtheiceman
      @iamtheiceman Před rokem

      I agree.
      My bike sees only very (strategic) water placement, and never high pressure.
      Definitely don't wet the chain, ignition, electronics, Etc.
      Just try not to get any part wet, that needs to be kept lubricated.
      Yes it takes more time, but you will save yourself the pain of a repair or wear down the road because of the water.
