      The vents couldn’t be individually controlled, I’m sure this irritated the driver or passengers . Toyota ditched the tech as well, too complicated for Americans that just need a full blast directly on ourselves 🎉😂

    I don't know if they are aging well or if I have weird taste but damn the late 80s-90s cars look so good. Maybe it's the simple styling. All I know is this is NOICE.

    These cars are a hoot to drive. I got to grow up with a cherry example 89 gt 5spd. My stepdad had a dark blue one. Excellent car. Far quicker than you may think. He had it all the way til 2002. Was still a blast to drive 20yrs later.

    I had an 1988 dx mx6. My uncle bought a wrecked gt and gave it to me for my birthday. I took all the performance parts and turbo engine and transmission from it and left all the bells and whistles. Result was a sleeper from hell and back in 2003 it was a fun car to street race. These are underrated in my opinion but they are torquey as hell so they are quick

      First the first NC variant was my favorite of that generation. It had the oval mouth rather than the big smiley mouth and in the right color, such as dark emerald green with a tan top which a friend of mine owns, it made me change my mind. Sometimes it looks like it's as nice as any other Miata. And I say that is the first generation owner. And yes you're right that first generation BMW M3 had those fenders as well as the Mazda RX7 2nd generation. I kind of liked it

    Had a 91 sedan I bought with 101,000 in '95 to replace my wrecked 84 Mustang GT...drove it up to 200,000 miles till it didn't pass pass smog. LX model that you could remove the front headrest on the passenger side, recline the seat and just like that you have a recliner on the road!! Not sure if that was noted in the owners manual! Sure was fun!! (Tip your driver!!) Thanks !

    i owned one in 2007 one with 100k miles and needed a head so i bought it because it was super clean. mine was a 89 but i was shocked by the modern suspension for its time and the oscillating vents mine was manual as well sunroof just a very cool car. i owned a 1990 mustang gt at the time and i would usually race ppl in the mazda then ppl i lost to i would come back in my mustang. one crazy thing i always remember is ppl flashing their brights/highbeams at me because the Mazda has Fog lights in the headlights plus running lights plus head lights and maybe more so no matter what it seemed like the high beams were always on!! heard about all wheel steering but never seen one.

    Great Review! Love my Mazda. The MX-6 was in Europe known as the 626 Coupe (Mazda 626 GD Coupe). I'm a very proud owner, I got mine in a very mint condition. Sadly in the EU we didn't get the Turbo version which is kind of a bummer, but it's still very fun to drive (especially on the Autobahn very smooth ride). Greetings from Germany, love your Reviews.

    Cool video i liked it, This brought back some memories of my mom's MX6 GT she had a 1991 model my dad bought for her from Green's auto sales back in the mid 2000's when i was a kid. She would drive me everywhere with it the car was named "Molly-Chan" until 2010 when the 2nd pickup coil failed then we sold it for 700 bucks in early 2011 my dad wished we kept her. But imagine we still have Molly-Chan to this day. Again thank you for the good video about these underrated classic Mazdas.

    Note- I see no sign that this has the 4WS system retrofitted to it. I can’t imagine that being a mod worth doing or likely even possible. What all 83-92 626s and MX-6s DO have (note the proper use of the “do” emphasis) is Mazda’s TTL rear suspension which affords them a very small degree of passive rear steering. This is not to be confused with the proper 4WS system on the 88 626 and 89 MX-6.

    The 2.2 Turbo is rated at 145 hp but most magazine reviews at the time thought that was lower than actual and often used 175 hp as a more realistic estimate

    • @abcwarrior91
      @abcwarrior91 Před rokem

      They rate 145hp at the wheel, so it be around close to 200hp at the crank that's why this gen is faster than the 2nd gen v6 I mean come on with a turbo it only makes 145hp is a joke even 4 cylinders at that time makes around 145hp naturally aspirated so it's definitely making more than 145hp.

    • @jmsaltzman
      @jmsaltzman Před rokem

      A friend had one in high school and it seemed to be snappier than 145. I recall it was a marketing thing since it was the same car as the Probe, mechanically, and the Probe GT couldn’t get too close to Mustang performance? Maybe. Anyway, fun car.

Rare color! I used to race him that car hanged with me. On the highway it was a Beast! Also interesting fact! The Ford Probe GT had the same motor as the Mazda MX6. The Probe GT was supposed to replace the Mustang! But, Enough oh and Ahh didn't allow it! So Ford had 2 Hot rods with different approaches! A Traditional V8 and a Turbo 4 cylinder that could run and out run the V8 back then and probably now! Alot of People got smoked by the Mazda MX6 and Probe GT! The seats are in beautiful condition . I hope to get this engine set up in my Mazda B2000( I have a destroked 1.8L 😕 engine in it. It has virtually no meaning and just adds fluff/time to your content. I honestly think your reviews would be another notch better if you found more creative writing/speaking techniques.
