  • I did a video not too long ago explaining what WiFi 6 is and why you should get a WiFi 6 router. But, now, I want to try and answer the next obvious question: which are the best WiFi 6 routers to get?
So I bought a bunch of them and tested them all and now I believe I have a good list of the ones I think are the best WiFi 6 routers you can buy right now and which scenarios each router might be best suited for.
HERE ARE THE MESH WIFI ROUTERS:

Thansk for the info. I have tested out 3 of the best. Have a gig download wig Comcadt. Bought the TPlink 3000 for 129 then tried the Asus ax8000 I tjink for 299. And now Nwtgear Ax8000 for 300. If I had go back I would take the tp liink and save the money. ALL of my test showed same speed. Belive me. TP link coverage was sane for 2600 sq home. Def go with the TP link.

Since I changed to mesh systems I have so much better wifi although my home and everything seems to just work better. Skype calls on laptop, gaming, streaming on TVs etc. Those single powerful routers are great but mesh systems are just better for real world use around the home. Especially if you connect all the satellites with Ethernet

If you're interested in a WiFi 6 mesh system, you should wait for the WiFi 6e mesh routers that will come out in 2021. Look for one that uses the new 6GHz band as a backhaul.

Your speed is insane. I only have a maximum of 35Mbps and that's double what I used to have last year. I feel like a lot of fancy high speed routers would probably be wasted on me but I live in a big old house with thick walls and a large garden. I just want to get great signal strength coverage everywhere for a relatively cheap price.

I have a BIG set of important questions. Our household is connected currently via Verizon DSL, and it's not very good. There is a cable TV option that folks claim is better, but we're wondering about cellular. We're in a very hilly rural area, but fiber optic is not taking off here. Verizon does not offer FIOS here, and there are apparently no plans to do so.
1: is there a way to create a WiFi 6 home network based on a cellular subscription? We're thinking about dumping Verizon DSL and the landline entirely. That means either doing phone and internet over cable TV or doing cellular. Are there any MiFi-like devices out there that can be plugged into a router like the ones in this video, or are they their own one-stop hot spot? Also, both of our cells are on Tracfone (pay-as-you-go, minutes-based service operating on AT&T / GSM-only towers) that we started using 15 years ago.
2: If we ditched Verizon landline and shifted to cell with a contract, how do we figure out which carrier offers best coverage of our home and what speeds to expect? Cellular is spotty around here, and the towers seem to be carrier-specific. (There's a Verizon Wireless tower on a hilltop a few miles from here, and our Tracfones don't pick up any signal from it.)
3: We have a Dymo label printer and some other USB devices, and an old HP laser printer with Ethernet. If we want to keep using them, are there inexpensive WiFi relays we can plug into these devices that will work with routers like the TPs you review in this video? What do we look for? What search terms?
Right now, we have an old Westell DSL modem plugged into our Verizon landline. This modem dates back to Dec. 2002 when we first got DSL. We strung out Ethernet cable to an Apple Airport base station, which is plugged into those other devices via USB and Ethernet. Thank you for your time and attention.

This reminds me how fast wifi routers get out dated most on here were like 400$+... Today you can get most of these of for around 100-200$ because everyone is moved on to new wifi 6E router... but even those will be outdated when the wifi 7 routers start coming out next month it's crazy 699$ but more affordable ones should be out by net year... Sometimes it's hard to keep up with tech... That's why I buy routers used and wait til their in the 100$ or less price range...

I am an older home user with 2 TVs + Firestick, 6 smart plugs, 2 Alexa devices, 2 iPads and 2 phones. My ISP’s modem routers WiFi is slow and laggy and one of the tech team said this is a common problem. He suggested I get my own modem router but was not allowed to tell me what to get. I can find no helpful articles. Is it because low users like myself who simply want reliable WiFI are not really important in the grand scheme of things so reviewers are more focussed on gamers, etc? I bought a TP-Link 2100 (VR 600) which improved the signal reliability, but even loading webpages is laggy at times with some buffering on the Firestick playback. Is there a modem router single device that could resolve these issues?

/!\ Guys don't buy any of these routers /!\
This review is heavily biased, I know this youtuber need to make money with affiliate links, but making you buy something without being honest it is a bit borderline.
The 2 advantages of wifi 6 is speed and a greater number of connected devices
None of these routers can reach the speed of wifi 6.
Why ? because they all have a simple gigabit ethernet WAN port who is 10x slower than wifi 6.
So the wire connection to the internet will bottleneck this device
And the capacity for a greater number of connected devices, you won't see a difference at home because you don't have a 1000 device connected.
So don't waste your money and way for better wifi 6 routers to be released.

@@michaelnufrio1100 The routers in this video are the best wifi 6 router released yet.
But those router are closer to wifi 5 than wifi 6, in terms of real speed.
This is why i would recommend to buy a wifi 5 router, as you will find better value routers.
So, if you want the best value right now buy a wifi 5 router, but if you want the best of the best right now buy one of the router presented in the video (but you may feel buyers remorse in one year when "newer" wifi 6 router will release with 2 times more bandwidth)

Question: I have the Fios gigabit Router and was thinking of purchasing the new Fios Wifi 6 router. Would I still get the same speed from either or as long as I plug in the router via Ethernet?

Hey I got a quick question. I live in a condo. So can I use 3 network switches from my spectrum router ? The WiFi here sucks. We have so much interference it makes the signal weak. There’s just sooo many WiFi networks around me interfering with our our signal. So I wanted to add a switch in the bedroom, a switch in the living room and a switch in the study. Since I’m not allowed to do any wall damage so says H.O.A. A..holes lol.

Will I benefit from wifi 6 since I live 3.5 miles from an airport? I thought the main benefit to wifi 6 was the 160 band which is useless if close to an airport? TIA for the reply

The mesh system is like a blanket which means itll find the best connection and block out pings or lags, it should work since it will pick up the strongest reception

try to get a mesh network set up, and use 2.4ghz connection since it goes the farthest. a mesh network will significantly increase your range and a 2.4ghz connection is slowerr, but does go the farthest

It can be used to share a printer that doesn't support network sharing, or, as you mentioned it, to share a storage device. You have to enable that feature into the web page of the router. There's a setting that lets you create an account (name, password) and turn on the sharing feature. Then, on the computer, you add the shared folder/search for the network path, insert credentials and that's it.
