- Synapse Virtual Production’s Rich Lee, Louise Baker Lee, and Emily Haldeman will explore the pros and cons of kitbashed and premade assets versus entirely custom-made environments. The team will illustrate how leveraging existing elements culled from the Marketplace, Megascans, and so on, can help avoid unnecessary staffing in pipelines used with traditional VFX, and allow for increased flexibility on a virtual production set when you don’t have that much pre-production time.
They’ll showcase some of their projects where virtual production empowered the creatives at all levels of production ranges-from million-dollar marketing campaigns and impressive music videos, to low-budget short films-with everyone able to use these tools effectively. They will also break down examples of how virtual production environments are being used repeatedly for branding in commercials.
This presentation is designed for anyone interested in virtual production, from VAD creators, Unreal Engine operators, VP supervisors to producers, cinematographers, and directors. It will clearly illustrate that while virtual production has proven its advantages for long-form or episodic media, it also has a variety of underutilized advantages for short-form media.

Holy cow the actor pallet was a super tip!!
Fantastic work. I'm really enjoying how this tech is developing and the 'look' that virtual production gives to music videos especially. I think there's so much to explore when we cross the boundry between digital VFX and real time interaction.
Wicked awesome work ^_^ . Well done Emily and the rest of the crew. Very frikin brilliant trick reading ahead of the motion for the motion control
wow, top notch work, especially the music video. Like always, its not about the most expensive tech, but about raw talent that can blend everything so seamlessly. Kudos.
That zero latency stuff is insane
So when does Emily open her own studio ;)
