I am a landscape professional of 34 years. I have run all types of blowers, weedeaters, trimmers, edgers, and chainsaws. My personal opinion and what I run everyday is Husqvarna. I own a couple Husqvarna 580bts and wouldn't trade them for nothing. Stihl spends more time in the shop with valve and carburetor issues than in the field. They also get harder to start as they age. I run strictly synthetic fuel in my 2 cycle equipment and they have never seen the shop.

Did you notice a difference in loudness? I have the 580 too, and it’s advertised at 100 decibels. Running it all day even with ear protection is still very loud. The new Stihl is supposed 78 decibels. That’s a big difference in sound. Let us know your experience. Thanks!

    • @yanim9578
      @yanim9578 Před 4 lety +1

I use double protection for any power equipment, especially when running the 580 - earplugs and over ear. It seems like overkill but it’s really much more pleasant. I actually find it enjoyable as you can isolate yourself even more and get lost in the work. Got the idea from shooting guns indoors and finding my ears were ringing. Using two layers of protection solves all issues.

I love the husky platform. Been running my 570 for three or four yrs now. Got same mph speed as the 800 stihl. But about 200 or so less cfm. I’m done with the stihl 4mix stuff EXCEPT maybe the 800c. I love love that 800. Had one a week before it got stolen. The side start is worth it to me. But really the telescopic tube is the ticket blowing out beds. I’m finishing the year out with my 570. I’m waiting to see what husqvarna/redmax does before getting another stihl 800 though. Supposedly husky has 590 (9500 redmax) coming out next year. So I’ll wait and see. They have 8550/580 mark II but to me it’s just what the br700 was for stihl a hold over till they could get the 800 to market. What part of North Carolina y’all in??

Ive been at this full time since 2003 and have ran all the bigger Echo's Sthil's and now looking at these Husquvarna's. Echo's were ok for a few years then just seemed they had fuel delivery issues no matter what we did and our local dealer didn't help us out at all. We switched to Sthil and have 2- BR600's, a 700 and a 800 and the 800 get used every day but every year it seems it needs to go to the dealer to have the "valves adjusted", It's very hard to pull and lacks power until I take it to our dealer but every time I take it there it's a 200 bill. Only problem with the Husq. for me is the place that sells them just became a dealer and not very organized and no shop, basically a place that sells mulch, stone etc. and now has a handful of home owner mowers, trimmers etc. I just want something too last more than a couple years without issues.

Lighter but not as powerful as

harder to get up and running
My honest opinion the sthil is
    Great for regular summer blowing
Jobs a few Meduim leaf jobs will
    nor wear your back out...
The Husqvarna is easy start even
Cold will push debris as leaves
It is a debri mover the sthil is for
Grass blowing I have the sthil side
Pull start with the push in cone
And a limited edition electric gas
Start the blower runs on Gas but

Drive Stihl at work and Husqvarna at home . Prefer the 580 BTS it sits better on the back so after a day it feels much better with the Husqvarna. Otherwise, they are equivalent in performance . .
