    The game changer is the straps and belt on the 800C. I hate having to adjust the straps all the time due to all the shifting and vibration of my old blower. This is why I bought the c model. Side start I am not to fond of! I hope they patent that belt system, and apply it to all their other models. I just bought the 800C upon your recomendation.2 days ago. I no longer have to spend all day blowing leaves. This blower will do it in half the time my old blower would take me. The added bonus is semi frozen leaves stuck to the ground this will power them off the ground, it has that much power

    The BR800 was a serious contender when I was looking for a new blower. Stihl make excellent equipment, but i opted for the Husqvarna 580BTS. Don't regret it for a second, it's a fantastic machine, very comfortable to use , and plenty of power!

    Awesome video. I have a BG86 but it struggles with large leaf piles and acorns. 1/2 acre yard. Would this be a noticeable improvement in performance to justify the $650?

    • @WorkshopAddict
      @WorkshopAddict Před 8 měsíci +2

      I too have a BG 86 for little stuff and I would say the BG 86 has about 20 percent of the power of the BR 800.

    • @WisconsinDIYGuy
      @WisconsinDIYGuy Před 7 měsíci

      I have the SH85 probably similar power. 420 cfm (year 2000 version) and 180 something mph. They are slow. I also have the BR800. Here's what you can do to avoid $700. Do you have a 2nd leaf blower or can acquire another decent one cheap used? Use both together. Huge improvement. Downside is your arms and elbows feel it. The br800 removes all this weight from your arms.

      A buddy and I were talking about a gas model you pulled on behind a lawn mower. Honesty, this works well and I can put the leaves where I want them. I have so much landscaping and hills, I would need a backpack blower even if I had a pull behind. Then we would talk about storage....

    We run 2 of these and a BR700 but thought I'd try the Echo 9010 and the Echo is much more powerful the only gripe I have with e Echo is the hose is very stiff but learned you dont need to swing that giant tube back and forth too often, a slower sweep gets you to bare ground and blowing piles of leaves, the Echo was about 20-25ft and about 6ft wide path and the Sthil was about 12ft long and only about 4-5ft wide path. I thought it was like wearing any other back pack and I got about 1:15 from a full tank.

      I have the 9010T also and that flex tube is absolutely the worst tube they could have ever put on that blower!!…I use mine every day and got sick of this problem and I finally found the solution! I ordered the flex tube from the new RedMax 8560 backpack blower and it slips right on the echo 9010 elbow and tube and absolutely made this blower such a pleasure to use and now I absolutely love it and not wore out after using it!…It’s a $20 upgrade and it’s very flexible and looks better than OEM and fits just like the original and will make using it a new experience for ya & I highly recommend it!
