- Hello! In today's video I am upcycling a pair of thrifted jeans into this denim tote bag. This is one of my easiest DIYs videos and although I used a sewing machine, you could definitely sew this by hand. Instead of painting the pocket you could try and embroider flowers? That would look so cute!

It looks great! Do you need to use a specific type of needle or thread for this project?
Hi thank you! I would recommend using a denim needle, it will help when going over the thicker parts but I just use regular thread 🙂

I wouldn't title this as beginner friendly. As a beginner, I was expecting to be shown step by step how to sew it together without a sewing machine because a beginner is not going to have a sewing machine which is expensive to buy. You also didn't really show the process in detail and a beginner isn't going to know what the terminology you're using means. It turned out cute though.
