You can use Anivia W to stop Katarina ult by putting it right on top of her and hitting W. You can use this to bait Katarinas into trying to all in and just denying their ult.

@@d0phyte He meant Kata is more likely to use ult when you run out of ur spells and u can surprise her with stopping ult with W. If you keep Q she is less likely to ult you.
IMO the most interesting champ in the game, high skill cap and able to outplay entire teams. Impressive for such an old champ. I love teamfights in the jungle and just walling off half the enemy team from participating.

Anivia support is really good as well. Such a good disrupter in fights. Her W also triggers Glacial Augment Rune. Plus you could buy Everfrost and have so much CC.
Hate playing vs anivia. PErmapushes lvl 6, pre 6 aggressive plays kinda suck just bc of egg as well. W is sucha useful ability, can create freezes, cancel channels (like kat ult), funnel enemies, zone etc. Her E does mad dmg as well.
anivia is too straightforward and honest for people to complain much about her. losing to anivia never really feels unfair even when she is objectively overpowered by win rate.
with other champs like zed or irelia for example, losing against them feels extremely unfair even when they are objectively weak by win rate.
10 people play anivia, and 10 billion bronze players plus 1000 dia+ play and main/onetrick zed. Winrate is incredibly meaningless in this game actually, just harms balancing almost as much as proplay based balancing.
It definitely feels fair getting blocked by w and slowed by r then getting stunned and e'd for over half health. Feels very fair
@@samerickson1041 There are like three or four champions that have a higher than 50% wr against this bird. You have to kill her twice over. Which early game is almost impossible. She's a scaling champion so if you can't even kill her early she's almost never weak.

Causes she boring to learn to play
Cause she is boring and people would rather play something with 11 dashes topped with max hp based true dmg. Most of league players are like Yasuo mains (not the good ones)... They will rather flip a game hoping for going 11/0 and making sick montage plays (usually they end up 0/4 and RQ) than just pick a reliable champ but easy to play and with no advanced mechanics. Annie is even better example. She's always been strong, now is S tier, still not rly played a lot.
#1 She is boring
#2 She isn't strong, people just generally regard her as weak and show no respect to her zone control. If you respect her zone, she literally just a wave clear machine
#3 Only Anivia main know her wall is the most impactful ability in her kit
#4 I find immobile champion is generally hard to get popularity because we used to playing high tempo champion win dash and sh!t for too long

Something I see alot of anivias do is to wall and then q at the side they walk towards almost guaranteeing an easy hit. Without the wall enemies just casually read the trajectory and avoid but with the wall enemies tend to panic a little. Ult + wall + q in direction they walk tilts them off the planet.
its fun when you put wall and R, they know you will Q, and they start walking back and forth inside ur ult, and you just keep holding your Q while they burn in R

She is like singed, mainly played by those who love her and know her ins and outs.
she's just overstatted, does insane early damage has crazy waveclear very early compared to other mages, and basically stat checks other mages just by walling them in and one shotting, it's ridiculous
like look in this video, anivia level 3 stands on a dagger and a full hp kat is not able to jump on her because she legit gets outtraded by a late game scaling mage. One electrocute combo would probably half life her at level 3 it's ridiculous.
@@shubhod9569 She can do some pretty good damage early, but what really defines whether an Anivia loses or wins a trade is typically whether she lands q or not. A good Anivia has trigger discipline and knows just how much of a threat that q is as it enables the double damage from your e and when combo'd properly with your ult and wall combo can lead to you get 2 or 3 e's off with double damage in a single fight (lasting about 6 seconds).
I love anivia, one of my favorite champions 10 years ago. I'd love to see you play her more

8:00 not to be nit-picky, but Katarina doesn't get movement speed from landing on daggers, it gets movement from casting her W (throwing a dagger into the air), but yeah, pretty much the same thing.
It's always enjoyable to watch your plays. Win or lose.

Her winrate is good because she's not popular. People that play her are just good at her because not a lot of new people pick her up. Same reason super popular champs have a lower winrate.

I wish this game was more about fighting the champions and less about how stupid you look spam clicking to "juke abilities" while you try to land the very last hit on a minion for a tiny amount of gold that will maybe get you an item that will give you the slightest advantage over your enemy.

She's a pretty under mediocre pick in higher ranked and troll pick in lower ranked. So it's mostly just otps or perfect 4 counter matchups that play her
Anivia troll pick in lower elos? Shes a champ who can punish mistakes EXTREMELY hard which people make a lot of in low elo. Not to mention she can snowball games very hard with just a kill or two. Also in low elo, people always forget to consider your passive and can simply bait them a lot oc the time. Saying shes a "troll pick" in low elo is dumb.

She's extremely strong...but also a very uncommon pick because she's kind of boring to play.
I don’t play league and I have never understood the win rate system. How is 53% high? That’s just barely over a flat 50/50 at that point isn’t it just pure luck if you win a game or not regardless of champion pick?
Well no, I’m no statistician so I prob can’t do the explanation complete justice but you have to remember every game 5 people have to win and 5 people have to lose. Champion win rate is across all players so in a scenario ignoring champions, win rate across the population of league players HAS to net out to 50%. When you introduce champion win rate, the only thing changing in the calculation is the champion picked/played. If the champion didn’t matter, or if champions were perfectly balanced, then the win rate would always be 50%. So for across the population of millions of league players in millions of game, 53% is actually a really big difference from the norm. It means that simply from locking in that champion, you should on average win the game. This is completely different from a persons individual champion winrate, which can sometimes be 70-80% or more.
