I think if a lot of sims four players would give sims three a chance they’d never touch ts4 again. Like I’ve said it once I’ll say it again I can play ts3 base game and not get bored ts4 could never. A lot of people don’t like the aesthetics of ts3 put a little cc can go a long way girllll

@@SaraJayF it’s cringe but I find most of my ts3 cc and etc on tumblr. Brntwaffles lighting mods are awesome! There are videos on CZcams of how to make your ts3 game look better that Typically have mod recommendations. I did a hq “mod “ that helps with the graphics (idk how to explain it more technical then that lol) honestly a custom skin and eyes go a long way and getting the lighting right. It took me quite some time to get my game looking how I like and I still mess with it all the time. Theres also some great discord groups to join for sims stuff ts2 and ts3 have a decent sized community of players still
i dont even play ts4 because ts3 gives me a lot more things to do tbh

We kinda use this...but mostly the Lazy Duchess Smooth Patch, and Nrass' mods do the work.
TS3 didn't need that because it's not as bad as Skyrim. Skyrim is TES' version of Sims 4.

Merging cc packages definitely helps! I came across an article where it's mentioned that if you have more than 200 packages in your Mods folder, the game will start lagging, and that happened to me. Now that I have all my cc merged, I keep my files under 1.1 GBs, and everything loads super fast. Don't merge mods tho in case you need to remove/update something or just keep a backup of your merged files with the original filenames.

i find whenever i try to merge my mods it always removes a bunch of mods (most/all of the ones i merged) :( maybe im just doing something wrong?

I dont mind zombies. I just make sure all gardens are fenced with locked gates. I get a kick out of them complaining they can't get into my yard or get stuck in the driveway. I have had my witches go out and set them on fire or freeze them. They run away after that. 😅
You can disable the moonlight bloom effect in the Overwatch settings, too! ❤

Wow, that was nice. I may know all of what you have mentioned, but I just love your editing. Your sims videos are the only one that keep the original sims aesthetic. You build a mansion using the basic expensive stuff so organically, and way more better than EA themselves.
What I love the most it's your interior design, so gorgeous. I am currently rewatching your old legacy videos where you were building, and it make me want to go play every time)
It would be nice if you'd make a video about just you design rooms, show us how you choose fabrics and colors, how you match stuff not too exactly, but in that rich and realistic way ❤
I use cc magic to manage most my cc- I like that it shows the thumbnails of stuff as well as being able to combine packages. You can even set multiple loadouts (I've got stuff for kids in one folder, and if I don't have kids in my active game I don't use that. Likewise with latenight, I like some aspects of latenight so I'm occasionally tempted to readd it to my game and there's a few bits of cc I like to use, but then the celebrity features annoy me enough that I turn it off again :'( )

Another way to help Sims 3 work better is, I'm sorry, limit your custom content. It really does make a difference if you are having problems
I only have like 3gb of cc and the lag is just😮💨
I got 6gb of cc my actually runs very well when merged and run thru cc dashboard to check and see that theres no corrupted cc
I only use CC for worlds and in Cas now and it does help. I found I wasn't really using much build/buy CC anyway, I was getting annoyed with how laggy my game was and with trying to find content from the actual game without sorting through tons of CC so I deleted all of the build/buy CC I could and it really helped.
I just bought myself my first laptop and I have been BINGING your legacy vids and hyping myself up for some sims 3 gameplay! I have a PC but it’s like 11 years old, it runs the sims 4 okay, but the sims 3… eh not so well… The laptop I bought isn’t a gaming one but I am still looking forward to testing it on TS3! PS I love your videos! They take me back to LifeSimmer’s TS3 videos which I have been missing lately! Thank you for bringing my childhood back!
Also, I believe if you have Nraas Master Controller you can disable full moon visual effects in settings by clicking on ur sim's pc/laptop or the City Hall, so you don't need a separate mod for that if you already have MC.

Honestly the way you play without Nraas SP and still manage to find spouses for your Sims is impressive! 🙌🏾
The cpu step shouldnt in theory do anything. It just forces the game to rate your processor with a higher rating as seen in deviceconfig. If its already considering your processor as 4 aka uber then making any changes is unnecessary if for some reason it rates your cpu a lower number but you know that your cpu is goood then forcing it like that is essential.
Same with vram. If in deviceconfig it recognizes your graphics cards texture memory already. You dont have to do anything. Its only if its playing hard to get and overriding it with 32 mbit then you need to do that step.

I literally uninstalled SIms 4 and am reinstalling Sims 3 because of your videos. I've got a gaming laptop, I don't know the price because it was a gift but I've been informed it 'wasn't cheap' which is why I wasn't told the price (as I've got a thing about people spending money on me). The point is that I really hope, especially with this video, I can play Sims 3 on this thing. I've missed it so so so so much the last two years.

I recommend at least 64 GB ram when Playing the sims. I have no problems with my gaming pc after adjusting the settings with my graphic card. AND ALSO, very IMPORTANT!! I only play offline now. because EA trying to access my game and flood it with store advertisement always makes it crash at some point.
I got a laptop in 2018 that ‘worked’ well with the game and I never did any fixes. It ran well, however, it fried my laptop in under 2 years. ☠️ Make the adjustments, people!
It’s lame that EA doesn’t make some changes to make the game compatible with newer systems. SMH 🙄

If u got nraas overwatch the no full moon light effect mod isnt necessary its a setting in that mod ;)

A tip for NRaas users: Errortrap's 1.67 version appears to be not archived in the website. I checked a week ago, and placing the 1.69 version does not work if you have 1.67 installed.
Although I realized that it does just works fine without it. You can still rely on other means through master controller to do the job.

My game used to play so good, but then my Nvidia drivers updated and suddenly the game started running very badly again. I've done every fix I did before the drivers updated, and still it runs really bad and I'm not sure why. All the graphical settings are the literal exact same they were before, all the fixes are applied with fresh new fixed files. I really have no idea what else I can do to make it run as it was. I even tried removing mods but I'm pretty sure it's not the mods. I love ts3 so much but sometimes it is such a pain. :') If anyone knows of any obscure fixes lmk because there's nothing I'm doing different, I'm sure it has got to be something that changed while updating the drivers. And yes I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers themselves

I cleaned up all the mods, I've reinstalled the game, I've done fresh new fixes, I don't have my settings on too high (even though I could, I've got a NVIDIA 1660 SUPER 6gb it should theoretically be more than enough). When the game played really nice, I played in Monte Vista and there were no freezes or lag except the typical TS3 lag. Now I play in a custom small world and the textures take forever to load, which is why I'm sure that it's a graphical problem completely related to the update I'm sure. I had a similar problem before when I first got this PC, but I can't recall what I did to fix it anymore.
If you can, switch to AMD. (Sell the Nvidia to recoup the loss.) This exact same thing happened to me in 2020. Everything was perfect, then in October 2020, boom...I complained at the actual Nvidia forums along with other gamers, then waited and waited for a new update that might fix the problem. Nothing worked, so I got an AMD RX 6400, and the game runs flawlessly. I still have my Nvidia (1030 GT) but on my second machine and yes, the textures lag horribly after all these years of updating it. For me, it was an update that came out in 2020.
@@ts1depot I would but I really do enjoy NVIDIA and I'm pretty satisfied with it, only TS3 has this issue really. I've managed to fix it somehow with the combination of fixes I did (there wasn't really one true fix), so now it only really has the usual TS3 lag.
I have not updated my graphics card since then, so I'm not sure how long I'll have my game like this. But anyway, if it keeps happening I'll look into buying an AMD one instead! Thank you!

3:12 That doesn't apply to EA app/Origin version 1.69 cause that game uses TS3.exe instead
hmm… the guide i used is for version 1.69 on EA App and specifically says to use ts3w.exe. perhaps setting the max frame rate on both ts3.exe and ts3w.exe would be fine but i’m not sure 🤷♂️
@@NotMalcolm so the guide is wrong. Cause 1.69 got rid of secuROM and uses different executable (both for game and launcher). You can check it in Task Manager.

Ts3w is for steam and disc. Ts3 is for ea app.

If you already have NRaas Retuner, you don't need the No Zombies Mod. Option path is: Retuner > General > ByTunable XML > Sims3.Gameplay.Controllers > LunarCycleManager > kNumSimsToBeZombifiedOnFullMoon. Set it to 0

I just bought a new laptop, and installed my game. I’ve been playing about a week before I came across this video. I’m trying to limit my settings but I don’t see the” sims 3 (ts3w.exe)” file so I can limit the fps. Someone please help

Just bought sims3 and it was painful to get it to work, game didnt even launched, found a fix about changing CPUs. And when I start the game, it was like you said, didn't recognise the graphic card. I'm no tech wizard, I suck at PCs dunno if I can do all this complicated steps. But I will try because, man, sims 4 sucks so bad, after a few hours, it's just old... no challenge at all.

for AMD graphic card controls (from my experience) there a built in app called AMD Radeon Software that depending on your computers usage style you can limit fps for things... I'm no pc expert but I hope that helps... cause google failed me
