@@publicopinionnyc Yeah! I love photography and I'm fascinated by NYC (never been there) so a series of these would be such a cool window into the photography scene of NYC, and it's always fun to hear how different photographers approach the same subject.

@@publicopinionnyc In short form: It was my dream photo to take for a while, had seen it all over instagram and other photographer's accounts. I had this idea in my mind that when I shot it, it was going to be this stunning photo and would be my fav I'd ever taken. Finally made it over to Dumbo to shoot the shot and when I got there, there were prob 50+ other people there taking the exact same photo as me. Although I got the shot and it turned out really good, it didn't feel as good as I had hoped. I realized that I most enjoyed photography when I found the photo location myself. Anyone can go to Dumbo and get that beautiful shot and it will turn out great, but when you wander the streets of NY and find a great photo that perhaps no one else has taken before, thats the best feeling in photography and is what has created my favorite images.
Obviously still fun to shoot photos of famous locations and see them yourself, which I still do quite often. Def had to dramatize the story for the college essay hahahaha. Great video as always!

This one’s kinda hard to replicate, but the I-278 around Sunset Park is great for sunset shots (literally ON the Highway).
tl;dr One summer I was driving back up to NY, and I took the Verazzano. Once I got into BK, got slammed with rush hour traffic around sunset (took 1h to go from Sunset Park to Atlantic Ave).
Traffic was so bad that you could get out the car for ~5m at a time before you had to move. So a friend got out and took photos standing on my shitty hatchback.
Bonus: If an ice cream truck’s stuck in traffic next to you on a hot summers evening, you can probably talk your way into free ice cream.
Verrazano bridge at sunset is hard to beat!

I think. Samir and collins and jack and u guys should create a company like CZcams but treats vloggers/content creator with more respect. Way too much effort and way too little payout. Everyone is going through a burn out. Algorithm is so bs.
