  • In this video, we are replacing the front lower control arms on a 2013 Subaru Legacy 2.5i, which is similar to the process used on an Outback, Forester, or Impreza. I will show you how to remove a stuck ball joint in the process, or how to replace the control arm without removing the ball joint. The reason for replacing the control arm is because the rear bushing was dry rotted and needed replaced.

Thanks for this video bro, garage quoted me a ridiculous price to replace the bushes on the suspension arm so I just thought in for a penny and change the whole thing. Thanks for the helpful and clear to understand video.

Thank you! It is a tough job but with the right tools it isn't bad. And you can literally buy all of the right tools from scratch and still come out way ahead financially.

I have a Question does 2010 legacy 2.5 Shocks absorber fits on 2010 Outback? Since they are both the same platform & interior?
    Thanks

Was wondering what it was, turning a bit harder than needed at 80+mph had it shaking, had me worried but getting it fixed asap, thanks for the video

You should really feel it in the steering wheel, especially if you are hitting bumps at speed. If the road is smooth and straight you probably wouldn't notice anything wrong. If it is an out of balance wheel it will shake more as you speed up, regardless of road conditions, and a warped rotor will shake when braking. Those are probably the big three common sources of shake. If it is turning really hard when going slow it may be a power steering pump or just a Subaru. I find that Subarus really have stiff steering compared to a lot of newer steer by wire cars

Same issue w my crosstrek. Vibrates when turning to the left doing close to 80 on the hwy. Hopefully the ball joint is still solid so I don't have to pop out

Your best bet is probably a subaru dealer (unfortunately). I have been able to find obscure subaru bolts on ebay also.

Doing this now...bolts are frozen in the bushing sleeve...fun....🤣...not at all...and the bolts thru ball joint were snapped off...had to drill them out...more fun...

I think Subaru oxidizes all their suspension nuts and bolts before assembly. Worst cars to do suspension work on

Yeah. Subaru throws them in a salt fog bath for a year before putting things together. 😂. But. In all seriousness, most Subarus live where there is salt.

Alman ve Amerikan endüstrilerini küçük düşüren ve ezen o güçlü araba olan Japon Subaru ile alay ettiğinizi görüyorum.Japon arabası kötüyse, onu neden Amerika'ya ithal edesiniz?
