- Hi all, here's a simple epoxy and wood carving project for those of you with a rotary tool. Thanks everyone for being here - hope you enjoy this video of me making a magnetic bottle opener, and have a good weekend. Links for the products I used below.
You don't need to invest in a lot of expensive tools for a fun woodworking project! In this video I carved with nothing but a Dremel 4300 rotary tool and the router/flex shaft attachment and I sanded with an orbital sander (which you really don't need).
Most Dremel carving projects are very budget friendly past the initial cost of the Dremel, so having one is a great resource to make some meaningful gifts for others (as long as you have the patience). Check out the rest of the channel for more Dremel projects!

Wear a mask, eye protection, and hearing protection, and consult your tools' manuals prior to using them to ensure safety. This video is for my insta @logscarvingclub.
If you're looking for more wood carving designs and videos, I recommend watching the video where I carve a greek paddle with a Dremel 4300. I use Walnut, Poplar, and Epoxy! The epoxy was a hassle but came out really cool. - Jak na to + styl
Beautiful work!!!!!
Thank you! I really enjoyed this project.
This may be a little late but you’re the goat log I hope that school is working out for you and yup thanks
Thank you so much! It’s been great just busy. Hoping to get out some more videos soon. Also hope you’re doing well
I just found your channel and am obsessed. Waiting for my dremel in the mail and your videos are informative and entertaining. I hope you make more vids soon!!
Thank you so much! I plan to soon!
Jokes were landing this episode!
Thank you Mr. Rudman, I try my best
Another excellent idea. I'm sure it was a big hit at home. I love how you showed how you fixed some things that didn't originally work. Use these processes at school when you run into a difficult class or assignment. You are so talented! You're only going to get better! 😊
Thank you Tracy! It was a fun project working around the little mistakes and learning as I went. Looking forward to more projects soon!
I love the writing "Here is a clip of it to increase my audience retention"
Hope it works!
It looks nice
Thank you! I like how this one turned out.
So creative to have a magnet on the inside to catch the bottle caps! I also really like the felt, makes it look classy 😎
Thank you Natalie! I like the felt too, hides all the fuss at the back
Nice 👍
This is awesome! Enjoy that you’re just using a Dremel for all your work. Sanding is extremely boring, but using an orbital sander is fine.
Looking forward to your next project.
Thank you Dave! It presents a good challenge, and keeps the budget and space needed pretty low. Thanks for being here!
Great job! Thanks for sharing 😎
Thank you Patricia! Thanks for commenting

Let’s go!!!
Old hard drives contain Neo___ magnets. They are attached to a hunk of metal with mounting holes. These are scary strong and difficult to remove them from flat surfaces. DON'T TRY to LIFT . . . rather SLIDE them off. DANGEROUS if CARELESSLY HANDLED. Neos are less affected by shock or heat, like regular magnets are.
Muito bom! 👏👏👏👏👏
Obrigado!
I'd use the bottle caps in an epoxy serving tray.
That's a great idea! I think I have a couple hundred so I can probably do multiple projects
You could make another bottle opener, instead of wood you could use a mix of your bottle caps and epoxy and create a block/ base from that?
Great videos man. Do you by any chance have any suggestions about doing dremel stuff in an apartment? I've come across a few things but it'd be cool to see what you think. That's saw dust gets on everything pretty fast.
Unfortunately when I’m in apartments I only use mine for very small projects like engravings because it’s so loud I don’t want to bother roommates or neighbors and it’s so messy I have to keep it outside since I would otherwise need a dust collection system
yet another great execution i ordered a mini drill ( chinese dremel from a company called hilda) because i didnt want to invest huge amount and i will hopefully get it tommorow and to say i am excited is an understatmet thanks for giving me the push to purchase it , i have a request if if you think you can help me with i would love to make a comb or a brush as it would make a great gift for someone like my grandma can you post a video on it ?
That’s great to hear - I hope you enjoy it! I actually have made a comb before on my instagram, I may make a video on one if I can find the time. Too many projects on my list to cover them all
Which Dremel do you think best for carving wood like you do for long periods of time? I’ve pretty much bought all the bits in your bio plus a Kutzall for a MakerX rotary tool. After using it for a bit I realized it wasn’t doing good. I recently realized I have an outlet in my new back yard so decided to look into some good corded rotary tools.
Mainly got dremel cuz of you bro, i need help on how to cut.
I have a question: If you could please answer. The dremel spin clockwise, so when I cut from left to right in the direction of the wheel cutting spin, my dremel jumps forward. I was wondering if you could tell me what I am doing wrong and how to avoid making dremel jumping forward away while cutting with a cutting disc.
When i cut from right to left direction, the opposite direction of the disc spin, it doesn't jump.
Do you feel any power difference between the Dremel 4000 and 4300?
I haven't done a direct side-by-side, and I don't have a 4000 anymore, but I didn't feel much difference at all. I try not to stress the tools regardless though to make them last
Where is my man😭
Whatcha mean?
