- On September 17th Mack Avenue Records releases a limited to 300 LP/CD/45rpm 7"/cassette edition of "Liberation In Swing: Centennial Collection". Of course not everything is duplicated on all of the formats as you'll discover watching the video.
This "unboxing" video shows you what's inside the box. It's a beautifully presented set you will enjoy seeing even if it's sold out by the time you view the video. Totally random jazz record question. Do you have any opinion on the 2019 Impulse Vital Vinyl release of Mingus Black Saint? It’s one of my very favorites, so I picked up an affordable newer copy, but now I see it was unfortunately digitally cut. I read a forum about it. Still not sure if the original tapes were destroyed in the big fire. Just thought I’d ask if you have any thoughts? Enjoying your channel. Not so much the audio equipment stuff totally out of my or most peoples price range, but when you show and talk about great records. Please do more of that. Lol. Cheers!

Perhaps a dumb question, Mr. Fremer, but some of us are quite, um, picky about keeping our vinyl in order, which means that when we place new records on a shelf, we push other records to the right to make room, and when a shelf is too tight, we move records down or over to another shelf to create more room, which then makes the next shelf too tight, moving more records, and so on, and so forth. How the hell do you keep records in order? Seems like you'd spend an entire day moving records from shelf to shelf to keep them in order. Yes?

Agreed Fred. The Dudley Moore Trio album 'The Other Side Of ... ' is a true classic and one of my all-time favourite albums. Dudley was such an under-rated pianist but also a huge Erroll Garner fan. Give it a listen on CZcams.

@@robbutler2604 Hi great to talk to another Dudley Moore Trio fan .I will give Errol Garner a spin :) I wish dud had kept to his God given talent his time spent in Hollywood was in my opinion a waist much can be said by his sold called friends in tinsel town who stood by him in his time of need.I remember reading when he was diagnosed with progressive supranuclear palsy None of his so called friends came to help I cried when I read his only wish was to play his piano again ....I think that says it all .... Cheers.
