This video demonstrates how to correctly measure the distance from the wall to your TV ceiling mount. So when the TV folds up, it will not bump against the wall.

Is it recommended to drill into stud if installing on outside patio wood ceiling?
Yes, we do recommend mounting to a stud i nthe ceiling frame for good support.
I saw in a comment by VIZO that they were going to make a motorized mount for 85 inch tvs this year. Any idea when that will be available?
Our current plan is to have them available some time in Fall, possibly towards the end of the year.
@@VIVOus I will happily buy one.
@@rogerwhiting9310 When you are able to purchase one, we hope you like it and that it gives you years of good service! This one has taken us more time than usual to develop, but we of course want to make sure the design can hold up well to supporting such large TVs.
@@VIVOus I actually bought the 70 inch one on Amazon and then plans changed to be able to fit an 80 inch. I will return it...and get hit with that cost because it isnt free return. I didnt expect the change
I would like my mount going opposite of what you show!
Would 14” still work for a 60” tv?
14" from the wall to the back of the ceiling mount base will allow plenty of room for a 60" TV to fit.
Mounted it at 14” as suggested and nope not enough clearance when rotating tv. It rotates 1/2 to 3/4 before edge of tv contacts wall
@@BrumasterjSorry about that! I didn't realize you had the swiveling mount. For that one, the swivel joint should be at least 29" away from the wall for good clearance with a 60" TV.
Thanks for getting back to me yes I ended up moving 28”
And even with that my tv hits the wall
So I would recommend at least 30” for a 60” tv. For those that want 90 deg swivel or more.
If your only needing 45deg swivel then 14” will work.
I set this tv up outside that is why I need more swivel, so no matter where I’m at in my yard or patio I would be able to view the TV:)
Can this be mounted on pitched ceiling?
Yes, it can be mounted on a pitched/sloped ceiling. Once installed but before using, please follow the directions for pitched ceiling adjustment from the remote control manual.
Can this be installed in a Camper Trailer Ceiling?
It is possible, but we don't typically recommend it since the bumps and other motion from driving could put additional strain on the mechanical lift components while holding up a large TV.
want to install this in a room with 3.5 meter high ceiling. The TV (55") would be way too high for proper watching. Is there a way to bring the TV about a meter closer to the ground when it's fully retracted?
We're sorry, but we don't have a way of lowering the mount that much. We have an extension kit that will lower the TV by 16.5cm, but lowering the TV on the arm too much would put too much stress on the motor.
@@VIVOus where can I find this extension kit?

I have a client that needs 18” of clearance (ceiling to top of tv) for a 50-55” size tv. I can’t see this working- am I right?
Yes, unfortunately we do not make a TV ceiling mount with that large of a motion range.
My TV is 65 inches how far from the wall should I install the base?
This will depend on the TV, but for most 65" TVs, about 14" from the wall is generally a safe distance for placement of the mount.
