R.I.P Betsy Palmer!! Mrs. Pamela Voorhees is my favorite Horror killer/Villain! She's so underrated! Jason gets all the love but Mrs. Voorhees started it all without her there would be no Jason!.
This movie is still really scary. I watched it by myself on Friday 13th down when we used to live deep in the woods on a very rainy night. It was really creepy.
Betsy Palmer was the greatest ! I think Adrienne King is such a sweet person . The original has always been my favorite . I'm glad that this franchise has seen so much success over the decades .
Glad the members changed their minds about making this great movie. I don't why "the movie sucks and we all sucked" part makes me laugh. Great documentary 👍👍
People need to watch this movie again. Because people wrong in thinking that soul survivor was a virgin. She wasn't. Watch the screen were alice is fixing the roof and the guy who own the canp was there. The conversation they have indicated they have a past relationship
its funny when you watch this when its on tv they have to cut out the scenes where marcy with the axe in her forehead and when kevin gets the arrow through the throat but yet walking dead comes on and you see all the gore and disfiguration of the zombies lol
Snuck into this movie with my twin brother and my baby sitter and her friend on opening night. I was only 11, but I felt like I was in a double date. Superb memories. Back when women were real women.
Adrianna should if they ever do a reboot be Mrs Voorhees as she has that same kinda pretty blond look as Betsy did and I think she could pull it off. Just make her hair short like Betsy and you got it.
I'm only there cause I just watched the movie, now I'm super frustrated, I "wierd" watch credits, I noted that Kevin Bacons name does not appear??? I have rewatched the credits on line, but still, no Kevin??? Did he use an alias?
So let me get this straight.............Mrs. Voorhees wanted to save people ..........so she kiiled them ????? Huh ????? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think that's how that works. 😂😂
In her eyes, the counselors were responsible for her son's death. So she dedicated herself to keeping the camp closed through sabotage and murder. Stupid and psychotic, yes, but in her mind, she was preventing future child deaths.
@@KarateDungeon Yeah.............but that's still unbelievably stupid logic if you ask me, especially since the camp was closed down anyway after it happened. It was only opened up again when Steve Christie decided to open it back up.

Agreed :)
Today is 40 years since the original 1980 classic
Only the first two movies are really worth seeing!
She's always been my favorite too !

That’s the best time to watch this type of movie he he

I was babysitting at age 14 when I first saw this film as the late movie on TV . It had me checking all of the doors to make sure they were locked .
May 9, 2020. The 40th Anniversary of the original "Friday the 13th".
Did anyone piss themselves when Betsy was talking about Jason being a “Mongaloid” 😂😂😂 I kept rewinding it and laughing so hard at her reactions
I feel like it came out of NOWHERE like ppppffff what!? 😅😭
she never referred to Jason as a mongaloid in part 1
Yes!!!!
That was so funny ! She was a really nice genuine lady .
I can vividly remember watching the trailer of this movie back then in 1980, I was only 12 yrs old and knew this movie was going to be big.
80s horror was just the best
Betsy Palmer was so adorable. R.I.P
Stacy Johnson when did she pass?
@@livinglifetthefullest7722 May 29, 2015
Yes. She was a great woman.
And Laurie Bartram, bless her soul! ❤️
This was a timeless movie.
This IS a timeless movie.
Betsy is hilarious.
She was awesome .
This movie was a masterpiece; in my view as Victor Miller pointed out, Friday was modeled after Halloween. ...was way more affective then Halloween.
Adrienne King God bless her was so beautiful.
The bed scene where the arrow comes through Kevin Bacon's neck was the best kill in this movie.
It was really scary.
Absolutely
Adrienne King - lovely then and the same today.
absolutely
❤ FRIDAY THE 13TH ❤

It was really in the middle of her face. Just sayin'.
Yeah baby, remember when I was 9,saw it on HBO,,my ringtone to present day
I wish movie docs were still put together like this. These days there's too much chaff and graphics editing.
Dam how come the big stars don’t like being part of the documentary come on now Kevin bacon ur too good now for Friday the 13th
I've never heard Kevin even mention this film in an interview . He should support it like Betsy Palmer did .
Hollywood heavyweights hate having their name attached to horror. Shit don’t stink attitude
Nice 👏👏👏👏
Far superior to Halloween, the greatest boogeyman, although would give art the clown a shout

Who is Adriana? Did you mean Adrienne?
@@tempoticandmeepstar7584obviously. Lmao.
Betsy Palmer was the best choice to play Mrs. VOORHEES.
Most definitely. The film jumps up several notches as soon as she appears. Wish they'd found away to keep her around more in the sequels
GOD BLess
Il grande giovanissimo di tremors Kevin bacon

I thought it was released from Paramount Home Entertainment.
