How to install interior trim! Looks awesome!

- In this video I'll be showing you how to install interior trim in my 2017 dodge challenger scatpack. I purchased the upgraded style of insert trim because the other style didn't have the black backing like this kind has and it makes the install not only cleaner, but it also makes the job easier!
Install should be fairly similar in all vehicles, but make sure you search for your specific vehicle when purchasing anything off amazon!

For anyone that gets this... The instructions now say to cut at an angle so when you're putting them together it makes a cleaner finished look & don't have that little bump where the ends meet.
Did this to my challenger, you will run into thermal expansion and contraction. It will constantly pop out especially on the doors , also the instrument panel gap is to wide to hold this well, you may end up using an adhesive, actually a miniscule amount of clear flexible sealant works great it will hold it but also easily removable , the kind you put around a bathroom sink , not white ...clear

I tried this on my car not working for me keep falling out should I use a all purpose glue or double side tape
Great video. Spray bottle of dish soap and water makes it slide in easier. Keep wet and dry rags on hand.

Bro it’s a pain to get that in there. I have a challenger and the red trim just won’t seat as I’m installing
It does look good but some car companies have much tighter tolerances. I bought this exact trim but it just doesn't wanna squeeze between the trim. Having a tea break then going to apply a little dishsoap to the rubber and try again.

@@c19xxc73 it did, but what helped a lot as well was parking my car in the sun for a little while or closing all the doors and turning the heating on full blast. The combination of a tiny bit of soap and the heat helped get it in. The heating will expand the gaps slightly. What I also found to help get it started was to cut a tail into the end so I can push the tail deep in then use the rest to catch it properly. I'll send pics or video to explain the tail thing further if needed. The tail thing helps with cars with tight tolerances.

Some areas of my interior went in just fine but others are being extremely difficult, any tips for the extra tight gaps?

Wedge a trim removal tool slot it in, moving it along as you go down the trim
Might use 3m emblem glue, just got some, and i want to try using it to keep the trim in place

It's super easy to take out but it's super heard to install if u have rlly tight crevices

How is this holding up to hot interior temps and sunlight ?
I had the blue and it lasted about a month before all the blue faded to silverish.

When I click on the link there is 2 different reds. What is the difference? I have a red dodge charger. So wanna make sure I get the one.
There are 2 different reds. One is pure red and the other has a bit of a metallic anodized look to it.
Tried to put it on my Kia Rio. There’s no gaps to put it anywhere but the head unit but it’s so damn tight it won’t go in 😓

some EL wire looks far worse than this when non-lit but they pop when in the night.
