Fan ownership didn’t work we had no money, made poor decisions and were heading for the national league north a couple of years ago. We have achieved nothing as of yet until we get promotion. As a city fan, it's annoying when people associate Man City and PSG with oil money more often than not. Come on, once upon a time, they were trash clubs and the owners have passion and they turned it around. Man City was playing 3rd division football in the 90's. People think our football should be ruled by Man UTD, Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool.
Bro doesn’t show the fact that they are 3 points behind with 2 games in hand. And they where first until 2 games got postponed. Man’s has just twisted the story. Yes they may spend more but how many people where into the national league before the documentary. If anything this has benefited every team in the league. Hashtag united do the same. Wrexham would be copping more slack if they where not spending this money. If you actually watch the documentary you will see how close the club got to shutting down forever. They where also coming mid table before this and narrowly missed out on promotion. It’s not like they are breaking any rules with financial fare play. Other clubs will be doing the same too if they had this resources. What about all the Saudi backed teams in the premier league is that fair to the smaller teams who if you don’t have a problem with it that then why go after a national league club?
The thing is that even though these actors have a lot of funding of their own to throw at the club... they have turned it into a worldwide name... They have made companies like Tiktok willing to sponsor, and they have made fans ALL over the planet excited to buy jerseys and watch this team every week. Throwing a bunch of money at something is not always the answer, they've hired SMART and skilled people to do jobs that need to be done, and they've injected enough passion back into the club that everyone involved is willing to do whatever it takes to find success. The people of Wrexham and football fans across the globe deserve a great story like this
as I'm a chesterfield fan, wrexham players are getting paid a lot, but they don't play their best like mullin is getting far to much wage just for s national league side
Grimsby deserves far more attention than they're actually getting. We are actually a league 2 budget team, we beat Wrexham in the play offs, we beat 3 league 1 teams and a championship team, but we bearly get 5 minutes of media attention. Its obvious the media picks their favourite and sucks them off untill they go out. False underdog stories negatively effect the teams who are ACTUALLY underdogs
Yeah I’m sure all the other Non-League clubs love it! They’re barely surviving financially and then they see Wrexham signing established players from 2 divisions above.
A non-league club getting taken over and invested in IS a fairytale story. Any club at that tier of football would dream to get taken over by wealthy owners who invest in the club and put a lot of care and dedication into it. Getting promoted is only a symptom of that. Sure them winning games in the National League isn’t the same sort of fairytale as Leicester winning the Prem, but Wrexham being bought out is certainly a fairytale in its own right.
It’s not about taking the cup or promotion, and Ryan has said it on several occasions…. It’s about the town and the people! It’s about bringing back their economy, and their spirit! I think they’ve been absolutely outstanding, and the jealousy displayed by other leagues, as well as other people is bollocks!!!
Dude have you seen the atmosphere is really is a fairytale the passion the fans have and ryan Reynolds has done much more than the money. As a welshman i love wrexham

"Can we stop talking about wrexham?"
Proceed to talk about it
Mullin in season 19-20 in League one had 20 app 3 goals bro. Now he has 80 app 61 goals..
There’s nothing I hate more than talking about a club that was in shambles and manages to find a way to reclaim their past glory. Truly depressing.
Well I guess they're promoted now 😂😂😂
We will when you will 😂
Can we stop speaking about Wrexham… whilst adding to the narrative that we should talk about Wrexham 🥴🥴🥴
Mullin went for family reasons too.
Not now as they just got promoted. Just let people have their joy. If you don't like it keep it to urself/friend. Don't going being toxic online
It's not toxic to call out bs media propaganda trying to sell some rags to riches story when in reality they were inheriting a fortune
i don’t understand. what are you calling for here? transfer embargo? less media coverage? two hollywood actors buy a non league football team, and you’re shocked it’s gone the way it has? even if they’re punching above their weight currently, they won’t be in a few years when they’re promoted. this is what football is all about, and what a wonderful club for it to happen to.
Wrexham fans deserve a change in fortunes after all the crap we’ve put up with over the past few years! This is our time now get used to it!
Yes it is up the town
There’s a way to do it tho, not jus signing a bunch of experienced league one players and money balling your way up the leagues, it’s a shame they haven’t brought in salary caps so you’d have had to have done it sustainably. It’s fine tho cause I’m sure in 10 years time after Ryan and co get bored then you’ll be right back down to where u started
@@joeutm212 the thing is we are not the first team in the NL to buy our way out. The likes of Crawley, Fleetwood, Forest Green and Salford had backing and got promoted. Even Newport had a bloody lottery winner backing them and I don’t remember people kicking off at the likes of those clubs. This is not an expensive toy for the owners they are here for the foreseeable.
@@wxm909 I’ve never liked any of those clubs especially forest green lol, half jealousy from a Grimsby fan who’ve had our club gutted from our old owner lol. But even then it’s never been to the extent that players are on upwards of 5 grand a week from a club 2 leagues above. The rules have gotta change imo, gotta be a salary cap. Also as a lower league fan I’ve heard so many people moaning about Salford forest green and Crawley, there’s just less in the media for obvious reasons. I think more people are moaning about Wrexham cause of the whole “fairytale story” narrative which is a load of bollocks, dorking getting to the national league is more of a fairytale than u lot getting promotion.
@@joeutm212 Would you still want a salary cap if our owners came to your club? I appreciate it can piss rival fans off but honestly Wrexham were going nowhere before these guys took over. We were asset stripped by previous ownership (not mentioned in the documentary) and we’re left to die until the fans stepped in. Fan ownership didn’t work we had no money, made poor decisions and were heading for the national league north a couple of years ago. We have achieved nothing as of yet until we get promotion. I would prefer we focus on matters on the pitch rather than the media circus as we desperately need promotion this year.
So you’re mad that someone is… investing in a club that didn’t have proper funding?
Idk why I got recommended a video that came out like a year ago but you reminded me to keep talking about Wrexham haha
Unless they are breaking some rule somewhere i think we should applaud the town’s loyalty and a good business decision by a couple businessmen.
Why is he shouting?
“I’m not here to bash Wrexham” while simultaneously bashing Wrexham for having money? Have a cry mate? Go chat about city if you wanna bash clubs with money! There’s a million reasons to talk about Wrexham and this donut will not stop us
You have bigger budgets than some championship clubs and you're still not top of the league, Banter club 😭😭
Sounds like you’re the one crying, got rattled by some random donny on the internet 😂
@@harrysmith1070 they are 5 points behind first with 2 games less, they are probably getting top

Good test for our youth team tbh. Would have been surprised if they destroyed Wrexham lol
Also I hope Mullins gets well soon
"a gambling addict " 💀💀
There’s no ffp in national league

Well because of this - we will talk and support more of Wrexham then. Envy is an evil trigger isn’t?!? 😂
what was the point of this video?
The point is it's not a fairytale story, they're not underdog's. They've brought the league.
Imo good for them
@@olivernewton8584 Bitter people always find excuses to bring others down.
@@olivernewton8584money is useless if you didn't know how to manage.
This hasn’t aged well at all.
As a reading
fan it hurt when reading came up as a low budget example 😭
„Can we stop talking about wrexham“
Makes a video talking about wrexham
Grimsby deserves far more attention than they're actually getting. We are actually a league 2 budget team, we beat Wrexham in the play offs, we beat 3 league 1 teams and a championship team, but we bearly get 5 minutes of media attention. Its obvious the media picks their favourite and sucks them off untill they go out. False underdog stories negatively effect the teams who are ACTUALLY underdogs

Yeah I’m sure all the other Non-League clubs love it! They’re barely surviving financially and then they see Wrexham signing established players from 2 divisions above.
they're not stayin there tho
The club was about to fold until Reynolds and McElhenney bought the club. So no, we can’t stop talking about Wrexham.

@Liverpool Fan + u support liverpool
@Liverpool Fan ud get smoked
@Liverpool Fan should be called Flintshire not Chester, cos thats where your ground is
A non-league club getting taken over and invested in IS a fairytale story.
👏
It’s not about taking the cup or promotion, and Ryan has said it on several occasions…. It’s about the town and the people! It’s about bringing back their economy, and their spirit! I think they’ve been absolutely outstanding, and the jealousy displayed by other leagues, as well as other people is bollocks!!!
Dude have you seen the atmosphere is really is a fairytale the passion the fans have and ryan Reynolds has done much more than the money. As a welshman i love wrexham
Nothing close to a fairytale, what Notts county are doing is fairytale stuff, if any club in that league had the same investment & Hollywood fame backing they’d all be in the same position, they should have got promoted last season, they completely bottled it considering what they’re spending
My mother is from Wrexham, so I’ll be very happy whilst Wrexham are in the spotlight.
This guy HAS to be a Nots County fan😅
So then we shouldn’t talk about Man City, PSG, Madrid etc… under this logic
Couldn't you say that about any team though. I mean it's a popularity thing, new owners come in who are famous and bring attraction to the club.
