We really just have one goal - to make your food life better. Ok that, and be entertained at the same time. And have you learn a few things along the way. So let’s make it 3 goals then.
If you only want the steps to make something, like those vids shot from above with no people, no conversation no nuthin - then we are absolutely not for you. But if you wanna a little fun while you learn, then this is the place.
Cooking doesn’t have to be hard, it just has to be delicious.

THANK YOU ❗️ - Zábava
Im a personal chef that makes food for a men's homeless shelter once a month, and I cant wait to use your recipe for them! Keep on chefing!
Corey Daley have you made it? 😀
@@ilovekandii214 yess I did! I had to make a small substitution because of the shelter's guidelines and change to ground chicken, but it was still freaking BAD ASS! :) thanks for asking!
Corey Daley Thank you so much for replying, and letting me know about any modifications. I’m so excited to try this!
@@ilovekandii214 Forgot to tell you that I made it for my family verbatim and it was still BOSS! So have fun with it! :) Happy Cooking!

OK Brother...
So I'm a full blooded Italian.
Born and raised in Brooklyn transplanted to So West Fla.
About 20yrs now and
we're about the same age...
Like you said, I trusted you until now.
If my Grandmother saw me make this she'd SLAP MY FACE!!!
BUT I MADE IT..........
All I can say is.......
HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!
Not Traditional......
Not what I am used to.....
But one of the BEST Lasagnas
I have ever Made & Tasted!!!
Love you brother!!!!!
Keep em comin' Sam!!!
That's a testimonial. I'm definitely gonna try!
Have you tried the calzone? Freakin good man
Oooooooo, you're going to get disowned! lol
If you said this is good you’re not full blooded Italian
Quella della nonna è la più buona del mondo
The meme that there is only one correct way to make each traditional Italian dish is getting really old. Italy is a very big country with people in the north being very different culturally than people in the south. I doubt that there is only one way to make lasagna or pizza or spaghetti carbonara. And if there were only one official version it would actually be saying something bad about Italy. Italian cooking should be like Italian politics: do whatever the eff works for you even if it effs everybody else up!
I made this for my family last weekend!!! To save my time(and sanity) I made the bolognese the night before, and only had to assemble everything the next day. It was simply the best thing I ever made. Truly fantastic! Thank you so much, this is the first recipe of yours that I did, and it turned out fabulous
I always add sliced mushrooms with spinach. The flavours complement so well. I also add a beaten egg or 2 to the cottage cheese mixture.
My dad used to shred and sauté zucchini for his lasagna when I was a kid. I never noticed and now I love zucchini/squash
we need "and we mix" merch - I think i hear it in all of your videos!

Huge thanks Sam !!!!! Made this on Sunday for a small get together. Turned out to be one of the best Lasagna's I've ever had. Nothing but rave reviews from everyone who tried it. The Bolognese combined with the Ricotta /Cottage cheese combo was deliciously rich and creamy and really just knocked it out of the park. The smell that permeated the house was pure heaven and just tortured my guests for the better part of 3 hours. Per your suggestion going to make a couple batches of the Bolognese and freeze them for later use. Thank again Sam
I was watching random cooking videos and randomly ran into this channel! Pretty hyped I did because you’re fucking hilarious 😂 thanks for being awesome Sam and giving us awesome content Max. Love the way you cook!
I made this lasagna recipe last week, and gotta say, its by FAR THE best lasagna I have ever eaten in my life. My wife, brother and sister in law said the same thing. Its the REAL DEAL last lasagna recipe you will EVER need, not to mention the bolognese sauce recipe as well. Thanks SAM.
This quite possibly is the most entertaining, practical, streamline cooking channel on CZcams! Love the content Sam! Keep it movin!
I would love to see a video of your STAPLE ingredients for weekly dinners in your home. Your go-to necessities in your fridge and pantry :)
Also an appetizer series would be soo bomb!! Love you Sam
Well said, was thinking the same
Lil 2011 don’t forget the avocado oil! ☺️
Made this recipe with my boyfriend for my family. Everyone loved it! Writing the recipe down and keeping it forever!
Yowza! This is in the oven right now. I tasted the sauce before it went in to the dish and it’s a super duper keeper! So excited and thank YOU for sharing your fabulous recipes. You’re making me a better cook 👩🍳
OMG I love this channel and love this Bolognese recipe! Made it tonight for my 3 boys (ages 2, 3, and 5). The sauce was awesome (used moose burger) but I added two cans of tomato sauce at the end and mixed it in with a pack of elbow macaroni. They scarfed it down and had seconds. This is not the first time I've tried replicating one of your recipes and I've yet to be disappointed. Thanks from Alaska (your real Canadian neighbor).
I am a food management major and I love watching your videos, they give me so much inspiration when I go into the kitchen at home and in class. I would love to see you make a spicy pulled pork Mac n cheese of some sort. Much love 😊

Bologenese is literally one of my favorite sauces to make ever❣️
Watching this vid and my daughter gets excited and proclaims "Hey, it's your garlic press!"
Agreed, Sam. I've had my Zyliss garlic press for decades and absolutely love it.
Cheryl McFarlane My mom has had that same one for like 30 years too 😂
7:02 wow Sam the Canadian accent really peeped out and said hi their😂
THANK YOU for using cottage cheese! It's what I use and I get so much grief for it! I love it!
just dont try to make this with watery ground beef from your personal playground. LOL nice to see your watching the same stuff as one of your fans.
TheWolfePit you might as well use mayonnaise lmao 😂 I don’t know why you are trying to ruin lasagna !!!
@@damien1781 what cheese should be used if you don't like cottage?
@@Adrian-zu6tm ricotta all the way
Hadrian ricotta my friend! It’s delicious, I can’t stand the taste or thought of cottage cheese.
Sam, thank you for this recipe & the CZcams vid, absolutely epic....
I’ve followed the lasagne recipe & the result was delicious... since, I have made 3-4 of your Bolognese’s & it has now become my house hold favourite with my family! Big up, Sam.... please keep this up.. 👊🏼
Sam I made this yesterday for my family, perfect on a cold rainy Sunday in OC. My whole family thought this was the best lasagna we've ever had in our lives, from anywhere. This is the only way I'll make lasagna again, or use the bolognese for other dishes as well. Thanks!
Sam I just made this for my family and it came out delicious! Tremendous! My dad is a chef and I was a bit afraid but he absolutely loved it. Thanks for all the inspiration, I had a picture but I can’t attach it 😊
OMG! Sam, my fiancée and I had this tonight and we are speechless! Holy smokes, you are a genius.. even though I still maintain Japanese mayo tastes exactly like mayo 😜
I absolutely love this recipe. I make lasagna all the time. Thank you Sam for sharing wonderful recipes with us. As always lots of blessings and love to you.
I just made the best lasagna I’ve ever had and it’s a great feeling. Thank you chef Sam
I’m addicted to watching this guy. I introduced my kids to him and they love him too.

I made this along with several things that you have made. This is so good, thank you sam.
My son shared this video with me and I am so glad he did! I made this and it was SO tasty! Your bolognas sauce was so easy to make! I am def making my own sauce from now on. Thanks for sharing your awesome cooking and lasagna recipe 👌🏼
Just made this for the wife and I. So good. I was afraid of making lasagna from scratch but u made it so easy. Thank you and so delicious.
Pasta isn't from scratch, that would be the only challenge
Perfect. Lasagna is my favorite pasta dish!
Really? Your favorite? It's good but it's so filling I couldn't imagine eating Lasagna more than a few times a year.
No it's not
Congrats to Max, or whomever does the editing on these videos. I love the beeps and sound effects and extra graphics and audio remixes. 👍🏻👍🏻
I made this last night with 50/50 italian sauasage & ground beef, and I can't stop thinking about it. Definitely worth it.
Having some more sophisticated dishes in your channel like this one is welcomed, at least in my opinion. Many of the people watching probably aren't making this stuff anyways. The humor, the excellent looking food, beautiful atmosphere, and camera work/editing make this channel stand out from the rest. Introducing some more labor intensive dishes will let you spread your wings as a chef, and give you no shortage of recipes to display. I'm looking forward to making this dish myself. Maybe you'll do Seafood Paella someday? Hope so. Thanks Sam!
That looks AMAZING! Going to try the "no boil" lasagna noodles
Thank you for this recipe it is phenomenal I did make a few substitutions but it was fantastic. Keep sending them. You are hilarious and I love how simple these recipe's are.
That's an amazing looking Lasagna, I gotta give that a try after seeing how you made it. Thanks for all that you do for good home cooked food :-) damn
The response max had😂😂
The perfect lasagna with just the right amount of cussing. Ok I was hoping for a little more cussing, but this is good.
So I made Sunday dinner and used this recipe ... THANK YOU - it turned out so great, this recipe is gold!
Thanks Sam! Made this last night and it was so so good!
You know what makes cottage cheese 100% better? Mixing pesto into it. Makes lasagna amazing.
I thought you were going to say “throwing it in the garbage.” Because that’s where it belongs when making lasagna.
“About .5 teaspoon of garlic powder (dumps in 3 tablespoons) lol I love your videos man
Holy Smokes! I’m a recently retired say at home dad. So I watch cooking videos all day everyday. I watch a video, I go to the grocery store and I come home to cook. It’s awesome. This lasagna was incredible. Tasted fantastic, easy to make and helped me hit another home-run for dinner.
I made this bolognese and it was really good. But I do recommend two simple changes: 1) use a mix of 50/50 ground beef and ground pork and 2) either first brown the meat at a much higher temperature by itself in the pan to caramelize and sear it, then remove from the pan before sauteing the soffritto, or brown it in a separate pan before combining with the sauteed soffritto, and then carrying on. These are small changes, but really make a big difference in the flavor. Otherwise this is a great and easy bolognese.
That has literally the least amount of noodles I have ever seen in a lasagna but still looks amazing
I put my hand out to the screen for the pinky promise
Love how genuine your videos are great watching 👍🏻👍🏻
Love your videos, some of the best meals I've made watching your stuff. Definitely one of the world's bests chefs!
The addition of vermouth and balsamic vinegar are game changers. And I love that he respected the addition of milk. Absolutely _fucking delicious_ ...
Sam,
Can you make a shepherds pie infused with a stout?
It's simple. Make your normal Shepherd's pie filling + add stout to cook down in your browned ground lamb.
I made this recipe in the past and it was delicious. I didn’t feel guilty for using the oven ready lasagna noodles either. I’m making it again. Thank you chef!
You on point this episode. Honestly some of the best Sam ever. Entertaining, Clever, classic and funny as hell.
Wow Sam! Looks amazing! I'd eat that in a heartbeat, with or without cottage cheese! Well done sir. Not sure about all the f**king hatred in the comments, but the keyboard commandos are/were out in full force on this cook! LOL. Just goes to show you can't please hardly anyone these days! But as the other saying goes, F**k 'em all! Keep up the good work Sam! Much appreciate the views/take you have on home cooking! Love this channel! Cheers!
Unrelated question: Is there any way in which I can still get my hands on a "if fat means flavor..." T-shirt?
best cooking channel on CZcams! I feel a lot more confident in my cooking skills after making some of Sam's dishes!
Awsome ! Well done. A new favorite
also lasagna with half italian sausage meat half ground beef can't be beaten!
The best lasagna in my life was vegetarian cooked by an East Indian and I'm a meat kinda guy.
It’s pork and veal mate
Im of scottish heritage, I also sometimes use about 1/3 haggis to 2/3 ground beef in mine.
@@Roof_Pizza what a disgrace
Mixing meat like that, especially beef and pork is always a guaranteed insanely good flavour. I might try this tonight with some hot italian sausage mixed in.
Thanks Sam, please make a killer Jambalaya!! Do you cook the rice in it or not? Soooo many opinions, I just need a good one...yours😆
I’ve made this recipe at least 15 times and it’s a HIT every time.
Thanks for another great recipe Sam. You simplified lasagna for me. Can't wait to make this.
i don't preboil regular lasagna noodles and they come out fine, the ones you use are more expensive
A nice bechamel sauce would be great too
Classic Lasagna. Gennaro Contaldo has a great recipe.

I must have watched this video 10 times! Finally decided to make this dish and OMG!!! This has got to be the best lasagna I’ve had! Thanks a lot Sam The Cooking Guy! Family loved it too. I did omit the crushed red peppers to be easy on the kids haha! Thanks for the culinary wisdom sir!
That's THE best looking lasagna I have EVER seen! I'm on my way to the store right now for the ingredients! I will update after I've made it!
"Of course it's going to be the ricotta, aw-aw, what the fuck is it call!" lol

Man, looks like this one taste so good... defo gonna make it...!
Dude cook with more vegetables I was just thinking that was lacking yesterday. Spinach is the shit

You totally look like Phil Silvers! Not a bad thing I might say! 😀 I'm loving your work during this lockdown. Bringing culinary joy and honesty to my pot noodle fest! Keep it up Sam!
I simply love your shows and recipes are even better. You are now, my go to for dinner ideas.
Thank you
If you are going to buy cottage cheese for your lasagna walk five paces to the left or right in your grocery store and get some ricotta instead.
I like them both . As a child would not catch me eating cottage cheese. Today tomato slices cottage cheese salt pepper YUMMY
Who else is a fan from day#1

Sam, you're the best! You make us guys want to cook. I believe my wife makes the best lasagna (so does every other guy) but your recipe with spinach is different. I love spinach. Thanks for another great video.
love the show! Broccoli is amazing in lasagna too!! Definitely sounds good with the spinach too tho
Hey Sam big fan. Today I combined ground beef, garlic salt, black pepper, chili powder, tater tots, BBQ sauce, and cheese. Am I doing it rite?
Sounds bomb af
Maybe the reason "it melted into itself" was because you managed to use only 6 lasagna noodles for an entire batch.
lol
Brilliant! Very quick Max!
Very awesome choices of stuff to put into a lasagna!!
This needs at least 2 more noodle layers otherwise looks damn good.
I love cottage cheese. But I will never, under any circumstance put cottage cheese in lasagna. It’s just one of those things I refuse to do, like throwing stray puppies down mine shafts or listening to nickleback
"Listening to Nickleback"......LMFAO
You don’t know what you’re missing
The Dude No, we know exactly what we’re missing and that’s why we don’t put cottage cheese in lasagna... that’s like adding mayonnaise to spaghetti yuck
I have done it and it does taste surprisingly good. When its hot and mixed with a well seasoned red sauce, its perfect.
fireballtp ...agreed
Definitely wanna try this one!
Love your show thank you.
Please make a eggs Benedict poutine!!!!!!!!
Corey Cahoon thats sounds good
Finally, someone who makes lasagna like it should be. Cottage cheese, spinach.....YES!
So good. I cooked this for a work pot luck and one of my coworkers ate too much and got sick.
The sweetness the vermouth adds is unbelievably good.
