- Thank you all for the support and feedback from the other videos! Many of you asked for a gear rundown on the pedalboard so here it is! I also show how I use it to get particular tones. (Tone Shaping on rhythm electric)
Gear used:
TC Electronic Polytune Mini
JHS Morning Glory Overdrive
Line 6 M5
Strymon Iridium
Boss DD-500
Strymon Flint - Hudba
When I was involved in a worship group 30 years ago we had 2 12 string guitars, keyboards and flute. Now its like going to a rock concert :)
I know this is an old video, but I just wanna say THANK YOU! I watched all 3 parts. I am primarily an acoustic player but wanted to spice things up!
I subscribed to show my support.
Thanks again, God Bless!!
God bless you, Bro
Nice videos
Thank You!!! Loved this three part series! Will definitely be adding a lot of this into our band! We just have way to many acoustic guitars!!! XD
Awesome!!
Thx a lot, you are a great help. I always used to play just acoustic, recently decided to learn electric side and it got pretty confusing when I got to trying to find the best sounds and set ups. God bless you, your videos are great.
I recently learned about cutting tone on the reverb pedal. Great tip!
Also, the effect level on delay is also very handy, from barely there to super washy, with a quick twist, especially without tap tempo.
Thanks, Matt. This is awesome. I'm a little conservative when it comes to effects when leading worship and would usually defer to acoustic guitar. This gives me the confidence to experiment and go for it. This will come in handy when some of our worship band is reduced to the basics. Keep this coming brother. Great stuff.
Awesome man! Go for it! I’m going to try to get back into making new content soon!
That Silver Horse is great!
Your videos are always so helpful! I ended up with an M5 a little while ago and was shocked to see it on another board. I’ve tried using it as a second delay and last Sunday as a second overdrive. I’ll try out the particle verb. I’m someone who likes to strum heavy when I’m larger parts of songs when I get into it. Do you suggest just shutting off the delay or going for a lower feedback? Thanks!
Thanks man! Yea I’d say if you’re heavy handed turn that delay off in the big parts. Or if you leave it on, just decrease the amount of strums. For example; strum half the speed and let the delay do the other half rhythmically. The m5 is actually pretty cool! Not good for everything but good at a few things!
This is fantastic. I love seeing what people use but its hard to imagine how its used practically sometimes
Amazing video and tone !!! What pickups and wiring are you using?
Seymour Duncan Hot Rodded Himbuckers! Wiring was a hardness I had installed with pit upgrades as well. Everything is properly shielded but I can’t remember the brand.
I would love to see you do a picking video on electric guitar in the key of g or a. Just a video dedicated for prayer with no talking.
Good idea!
@@mwagnerch hey man loving the videos, just checking to see if you are still going to do the picking video on electric guitar for prayer.
Hi I'm planning to buy my first electric guitar and I dont know what type of guitar I would choose should I get the tele dual hh or the alnico strat for a worship?
I would go with the hh tele personally. More versatile!
What differences would you make to your board if you were playing lead rather than rhythm?
Not a ton other than I may add an octave pedal and an additional stage of overdrive or a clean boost! Just to be able to kick it up to 11 if I need to!
Trained fingers and ear (pedal settings) will make a $150 guitar sound like a $4,000 es335 as proven here. I thought it was a legit Gibson! 😯
Ah thanks brother!
I played worship for years… trying to understand how Certain effects make a difference to praising the Good Lord??? Not trying to be a smart ass… I just don’t get this,
They don’t make a difference to God. :) but I just love that he gave us lots of tools to create things for him with! Our creativity with what we have harkens to the call of mankind in the garden to “create and cultivate!”
@@mwagnerch I get it… as long as the preacher doesn’t try to “pre-program” one creativity!
