@@revivehinduglry5176 In 1750, India had 23% of the world's GDP because it had 25% of the world's population. However, Britain was already a wealthy country even before it colonized India. If we look at the per-capita income of India and Britain in the 1750s, Britain's per-capita income was three times that of India, and India's per-capita income had been declining for a century before Britain won the Battle of Plassey. Comparing the total GDP of India and Britain in the 1750s to argue that India was richer than Britain is like saying that Uttar Pradesh is richer than Goa today. Later, the Industrial Revolution occurred in the Western world after the Scientific Revolution, with the invention of machines and technologies like the steam engine, and their wealth increased exponentially. Meanwhile, India's global share of GDP dropped to 4% in 1950. The same thing happened in China, which was not directly colonized. In fact, China's per-capita income was even lower than India's at the time of independence. During the 1750s, China's per-capita income was higher than India's. Therefore, if we say that Asian countries are poorer because of colonization, then what happened to countries like Nepal, Bhutan, Ethiopia, and Liberia, which were not colonized? It's worth noting that Nepal has a similar history and culture to India, yet it is the poorest country in Asia. The fact that Nepal was not colonized by the British undermines the argument that colonization is solely responsible for a country's level of poverty.

And even if India becomes a Hindu nation it makes no difference, because it is Hindus who open-heartedly accepted this nation to be called secular. @@Jessicaclar891 In Hindu Dharma, birth based caste is a recent times colonial superstition, however Varna (Occupation) was the original one, in Varna there was no upper or lower, people chose the work of which they are qualified for, and according to Bhagavad Gita, anyone can be a Brahmin (Teacher, Scholar profession), Shatriya (Warrior, Army profession), Vaishya (Trader, Business profession), Shudra (Other social workers) based on as per their skills, knowledge, and capabilities:
🔹In Bhagavad Gita 4:13, Krishna says that he created different Varnas [Profession] on the basis of one's Karma [Activities] and Guna [Characteristics].
🔹Bhagavad Gita 5:18 “The truly learned, with the eyes of divine knowledge, see with equal vision a Brahmin, a cow, an elephant, a dog, and a dog-eater”
🔹Bhagavad Gita 9:29 “I am equally disposed to all living entities: there is neither friend nor foe to Me: but those who with living sentiments render divotional service unto Me, such persons are in Me and I am in them.”
🔹Bhagavad Gita 18:41 “The duties of the Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas, and Shudras are distributed in accordance with their Guṇas [Characteristics]. (Nothing comes with the birth except some divine Characteristics).
Caste is an English term derived from the Spanish term “Casta” which stands for 'Breed' or 'lineage'. During earlier times, “Caste” use to be Varna (Profession) and based on Guna (Characteristics) and not merely just by birth. Instances from the ancient times proves that a so-called modern day “lower caste” can educate oneself with knowledge and change their Varna (Profession) to “upper caste”, e.g., Guru Valmiki, Kabir Das were from a Shudra family but became a Brahmin based on Guna (Characteristics or Essence), Ravana and his younger brother Kumbhakarna were Brahmins (educated person) from Northern India but because of their notorious Karmas (activities) all were punished by Shri Rama (believed to be an OBC if we abide by today's caste categorization).
Lastly, you have to understand the British motive behind imposing the caste system:- The Caucasians (Europeans) created Hutus and Tutsis in Rwanda, Africa, to divide and control the native population, and for this reason, the Rwanda Genocide occurred. The same attempts and inequalities Europeans also tried to create amongst Indians by separating Northern India and Southern India into “Aryans” VS “Dravidians” and further dividing Hinduism into 3,000 castes and 25,000 sub-castes.
Read about Herbert Hope Risley who created casteism, racism in Indian society by one's facial features and skin color, and Bishop Robert Caldwell who coined the term “Dravidian” and propagated the “Aryan Invasion” in Southern India to convert Southern Indians into Christianity.
And read these books (1) Castes of Minds by Nicholas Dirks, (2) Western Foundations of the Caste System

One more correction. The attempts by the Narendra Modi govt. to transform India into a Hindu state does not necessarily be as bad as one would contemplate in the West... India never had the concept of religious exclusivity that the western world had. Meaning "A person can still be a Hindu while being a Muslim". Hinduism is more about culture and way of life rather than strict adherence to a book... In other words "the soul of this country is Hindu though it's inhabitants can follow any religion in their personal space". And that's what PM Modi is trying to emphasize... Does not mean India would trample other religions

Excellent report. But Hindu rashtra will never be a hinderance. Hindus were the one who invented "Zero", geometry, arithmetic, yoga, meditation, ayurveda and countless others. It was Hindu rashtra that gave asylum to Zoroastrian people from Persia who are now owners of Tata , Gogrej , Wadia etc. It was due to Hindu rashtra that antisemitism never existed in India. It was Hindu consciousness that gave asylum to Dalai Lama and millions of Tibetans. It is Hindu consciousness that gives equal right to every religion. It is due to Hindu consciousness that democracy exists in India. So Hindu rastra is the future of India and not a hindrance as it existed for over 7000 years and will remain forever. I don't think India is becoming a Hindu state. Yes, the government is reclaiming India's lost ancient civilization and culture, but that is not turning India into Hindu state. India already is a Hindu country. The word India is itself a grecian pronounciation of the word Hind, which is the root syllable of the word Hindu. All Narendra Modi is doing is re-developing a sense of pride among Indians, who even might have converted to other religions or not, for their Hindu roots.

Please show me how India is the mother of democracy. It's a blatant lie. India has always been an aristocracy or meritocracy. No kingdom in India before 1947 was ruled by a democratically elected leader. It was always nobles or the kings.
Even our historic texts make this clear. Karna was not given the throne and ridiculed despite being a great warrior in Mahabharata.

@@mathurp6889 if you've read the Mahabharata or are familiar with the Rig Veda, or at least the Buddhist era history then you would know that ancient India had Republics or Mahajanapadas as well as janapadas. All the warring Deshas of the Mahabharata were either oligarchic or mass elected republics. The oligarchic Mahajanapadas of ancient India were democracies exactly the same as the first western democracies of Greece where the elite men chose the ruler... which was a few millennia later. As for Karna, he was the oligarchic ruler of the republic named Anga and was known as Angaraja.

To answer on the earliest civilization here are the precise dates: Mesopotamia 7000 BCE, Egypt 4300 BCE, and Harappan 7570 BCE from Bhirrana excavation in Haryana. This does make Indian civilization the oldest. These were the earliest beginnings of humans in their civilizational ethos. While we don't know about the Harappan political system, we do know about elected Janapadas and Mahajanapadas from the Rig Veda, Itihaas and historical records from the Greek, Buddhist and Indian sources. These were our democratic republics.

Only one correction - MAHATMA GANDHI is not considered a HERO anymore in India
Also, remittances received from foreign countries are about $100 billion of. $3.3 trillion economy and exports of $770B. So the remittances are not a big deal The Indian economy runs primarily in internal consumption unlike China which runs on exports.
We need the dollars to buy oil & gold our 2 big imports.
Also NARENDRA MODI is NOT looking to setup a HINDU STATE. He’s the only politician in a long time who has become the voice of the king subjugated HINDU population who has suffered the colonisation for hundreds of years. The person with limited mind and intellect will always admire one person but criticize others as his mind or brain has not developed enough to understand both approaches. Personal biases and family background also play a crucial role in this. And now a days with social media and all, brainwashing is rampant, so you know the situation.

    @divyasatheesh2529 Před rokem +43

We are beginning to learn the real history of India. It is not Mughals and British invaders alone. They were many more Hindu empires which extended beyond Afghanistan.
The British and elite congress men of India distorted India’s history.Do u think non-violence was the reason for gaining independence? There was many massacres done by colonial British, so non violence is not a big deal for them.
Don’t read the books which has west perception about India. Most of the books are not true.
Modiji is successful because he is the only PM who really know the essence of Indian society and he only can connect to people.
Before invasions, India’s GDP was 25..So it is very clear that our Hindu culture and civilisation holds key to our economic model and solutions for the world problems.
The religion and economic model of west was exploitive in nature and disaster to the environment. For example, Christian and Muslim doesn’t believe in rebirth. So they taught people to enjoy and exploit the resources for themselves.
But in Hinduism, we believe that nature is god and we consider earth as our mother. So before digging the earth for any construction, we ask for mother’s earth blessing and forgiveness.
In Hinduism, we believe in rebirth.we aspire to protect and preserve our nature ,so that our grand children and great great grand children can use them.
Democracy is imbibed in our civilisation and Hindu culture.Kings always decide and act accordingly to his people..Kings always put their subjects first.
India is not union of states.Indians were united before due to its Hindu culture.
Russia understands Indian than USA. Russia understands the essence of Indian society but USA and UK can become a close ally to our country and Indians unless they shed out their colonial mentality and egotistical mindset and have to read the real books that shows the essence of Indian society.
The question is will they do it??? I don’t see this happening now.. western policies are failing. They have to accept this first to open their mind to real solutions of the world. Still the west is condescending on India..God save the world!!!

Dark ages was only in the west but not in India. USA started its nation on a clean slate.Massacres were common when Christianity was spreading in the west.So the west imposed dark ages on India. But they forgot that we most of the Indians are still rooted to our Hindu culture and we want to revive the true essence of Hindu culture.
All are free to follow their own beliefs but they should not forget their Hindu roots and our culture.Thank god Modiji is our PM now and he has the knowledge about our ancient scriptures. We will neither follow capitalism nor communism .we will follow sanatani economic model which will be the solution to many problems.

As an Indian, I would say I feel we all wanna do the best we got and get the best we can for our efforts. Unexpectedly, even through the crazy stuff we see happening out here in politics or in our daily lives.. it's amazing how everything falls into place. So yea.. I feel positive for the future.

Powerful video. Goosebumps. We do it not because it needs to be done, we do it because it is the right thing to do. We have the power of love by our side and love will always overcome adversities and shine bright. Every dog has his day, and this dog is not a pet. It is a wild, law-abiding citizen of the universe. We understand chaos and we embrace it and we tame it.... Eventually.

A very emotional message from an Indian..
India is sitting on the greatest treasure of human resource ( 1.4 billion people that too 50% below 30 yrs w/ increasing expertise in STEM, hardworking, ambitious & smart ). If we don't utilize it at it's full potential in this decade & next two to come, it'll be a huge missed opportunity in building a nation w/ high standard of living that offers tons of diverse cultures, food, languages, festivals, etc w/ state of the art modern technology something India didn't have for a very long time.
I mean just imagine it.. it'll be like living in a utopia.
It'll be a place on the planet that'll literally have something for everybody.

If India cannot seize these 20 years of development and eradicate poverty. 1.4 billion people will age one day. I dare not imagine how much disaster population expansion and aging will bring to India.
