Do They Know It #108 - DO COLLEGE KIDS KNOW 70s MUSIC? #2 (REACT: Do They Know It?) - ZĂĄbava
How can someone not know John Lennon's Imagine?
My Dad was a 70's rock drummer and I listened to 70's music all growing up. I had never heard Imagine till I was 19 in college
Right. Everyone knows that's Paul McCartneys song
The 70s made disco la GIT!!
â@@DJHastingsFeverPitchand John Travolta!
â. BIG BALLS,
Who the hell doesn't know Imagine by John Lennon?
Delinquents
My big sister
I donât believe tham
Me
Yeah, thatâs insane!
âDo you ever..just wanna hug yourself and cry?â
*Yes...all the time*
More than I should
Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. I mean The Wall, Rumours and IV were the three best selling albums of the decade.
I mean who doesn't know imagine by john lennon
Ary Marchellino Sadly, many people.
My big sister
I knew it was John, but I didn't know the name
Seriously that is one of ACDC most known song
@@patsyroe4719 :D
Doesn't matter who's doing the reacting, 70's music always seems to make the show more fun. Enjoyed this one!
When they played AC/DC and he was like "Who is this by?" --__--
TheTechnoKiwi
That guy is always a tool in these videos. He doesnât know anything
Some of them might have been thrown off by Bon Scott's vocals instead of Brian Johnson
*See these college kids not knowing John Lennon's Imagine
Places face in palm*
Not face palm but facewall. He's a legend
Yes!
4/8 John Lennon? HOW IS THAT POSSIBlE?
Probably because they hear John Lennon and immediately think of Beatles and not his solo career.
Did Sabrina just call Lynyrd Skynyrd country... *breathe in* boi
its country rock actually
Captain Sar Itâs southern rock. Actually*.
Eh. Calling southern rock country isnât the WORST thing ever.
Like Creedence they can be placed in many a genre, but there are definitely country influences for both I'd say.
It's southern rock but quite unique.
Include more of Queen, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd in 70s
Check out black peoples reaction videos to the bands you listed. You will be pleasantly surprised.
Wow, hearing Olivia Newton John today was hard. RIP beautiful lady!
oh absolutely
I've always found hearing her hard.
Strange how they do better with 70's than they do with 80's and 90's, I guess it's probably the music their parents grew up with so they've ended up hearing it more than some later music
Philip Sheppard the 80's is full of 1 hit wonders
70's songs are so good and so diverse
How can you not know John Lennon
They do, I think. But some of them said The Beatles, that is why, bc they couldn't guess the artist.
@@neoangelz u should kno its a John Lennon song if u think its a Beatles song ur mental
@@elstonngunn4193 dude, they are young and the song is almost 50 years old. Get over yourself. It's like your grandparents getting mad because you didnt know who the Big Bopper was
Come on, get us some David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath! =)
And Van Halen, Boston, Foreigner, Journey, Stevie Ray Vaughan and more Queen.
Or for my dad some genesis or some mott the hoople
Imagine still makes me tear up to this day whenever I hear it. Just beautiful.
I saw John Lennon. I click
Jack Caldwell I too am a simple man
Same
Sameee
Bands not used with highest sales in the 70s. Aerosmith, Rush, Kansas, Supertramp, Fleetwood Mac, KISS, Yes, and The Who
lazyidiotofthemonth Supertramp!
Gawd Fleetwood Mac needs to be here along with the Who, Heart, Van Halen etc. I wish they'd use singers like Carole King, Christopher Cross etc. too.
someone saying they were tearing up to imagine by John Lennon made me smile and i agree it is hard to not tear up
Respect to Jade. She knew every song and almost every artist!
Calling Lynard skynard country lol
ikr? lmao
Spelling Lynyrd Skynyrd as Lynard Skynard. Lol đ
Just a word of thanks to whoever is picking the music for these. I really appreciate the time it takes to go through different genres of music. The metal/hard rock and country songs have been left out so long but glad you guys have done so well to include them lately. Here's to you and looking forward into what other genres are to appear along side these next.
A lot of us guys crushed on Olivia Newton John and Gloria and Donna made Disco. A great time to become an adult.
Speak for yourself.
@@markhunter8554 "A lot", not "every one". Nobody spoke for you.
How can you have a 70's video without any Zeppelin, The Who, Pink Floyd, or any other of the greats?
Some more of my 70's faves Blue Oyster Cult, Outlaws, Rush, Kansas, Boston, ZZ Top, Ramones, Steely Dan, Styx, Elvis Costello, The Doobie Brothers, The Clash, Talking Heads
Mr. Blue sky by electric light orchestra
Pink Floyd, Kansas, Boston, Fleetwood Mac, Creedence Clearwater revival.
I'd love to have them guess "Carry On Wayward Song" by Kansas and "Don't Fear the Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult :)
Lemme guess, spn fan?
Nope, look at my name, I just love the band Kansas :D
Oh lol, I considered that but thought maybe you liked both
I do, but I've only seen a couple of episodes so far, so I wouldn't go so far as to say I'm a fan :)
Mr blue sky- elo
the doors- riders on the storm
Led zeppelin- immigrant song
George Harrison- my sweet lord
Paul McCartney,wings- band on the run
Motörhead- ace of spades
Sweet- ballroom blitz
Beatles- long and winding road
These songs should be played in the upcoming ones
Especially "Ballroom Blitz"! "I See The Man In The Back, As A Matter Of Fact His Eyes Are Red As The Sun"
If Donna Summer hadnât come along, Gloria Gaynor wouldâve been the queen of disco.
I was born in the 50s, but I used to seek out music from the 20s, 30s and 40s for my own listening pleasure. đ I was a weirdo, but still. I like knowing what came before, and what led to where we are now.
Still no Fleetwood Mac or Led Zeppelin?....okay....
Tawny Carter don't think they would have appreciated it lol
Everybody appreciates Fleetwood Mac. Everybody. Also Led Zep are deceptively popular among younger audiences.
I am willing to bet 70s Fleetwood Mac would be highly recognizable to this age group
@@jennygw1883 Fleetwood Mac has plenty of younger folks appreciating their music
Earth, Wind & Fire - September
I swear to god, that redhead is a legit vampire.
I knew every song AND every artist. I love the music from the 70s
I am a simple person. I see John Lennon, I click.
Can someone put Imagine back on the radio? Thats the song we all need now
All That Jay That and Offspring, "Come out and Play, (Gotta keep them separated)
+valrod78 that kinda still gets plays on alternative radios every two or three times a week
Omg when they played âhopelessly devoted to youâ I started singingđđœâ€ïž
me too girl!
The titles are mostly given away in the lyrics, but I'm impressed by how many of you knew the artists.
DO A 60'S VERSION!!!!
you need a whole episode of Queen songs
Should throw in a little Eric Clapton, e.g. Crossroads, Layla, Wonderful Tonight.
Iâm seriously so shocked that some of them had no clue who Lynyrd Skynyrd is!!
react to creedence clearwater revival
my favorite group!!
Please so college kids react to the Beatles!! It would make me happy because I'm a Beatles fan!!! Thank you and have a good dayđ
SAAAAAAAAAAAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Idea: Do They Know It but all the original versions of more popular cover/sample songs. i.e. Under Pressure instead of Ice Ice Baby or the Dolly Parton version of "I Will Always Love You".
Julie Scott czcams.com/video/NNH7qzyuT4M/video.html I think you would like that
đ
Keep doing âDo College Kids Know 70s Musicâ! These are a lot of fun to watch!
Julia Beal, Especially cuz Iâm close to their age so I can estimate my childhood years to theirs.
Me : Damn I'm not gonna know anything
Me (literally after every song) : Oh I know this song!
8:47 Brandon breaks my heart and destroys my will to live
Why does Sabrina literally look like a forest goddess that has come from above to bless us all with her magical spirit
Shhh... You're giving away her secret!
Hereâs a cool video idea. So everyone featured in the video picks their favorite song and then you play the songs and they have to guess who picked that as their favorite song.
Queds TV we did something like this as an icebreaker at a leadership conference. Definitely give them some choice of who picked the songs
Bish where?
3:51 Tom is so extra you do you Tomđđđ
Brandon dancing and singing to "Play that Funky Music" was adorable!
I've loved AC/DC since I was a baby but they thing I most associate Highway to Hell with is the first episode of Supernatural and the Impala going down a CA road
Calliope___ I agree! When I heard the song I thought of Supernatural!!!
Great chapter. Great songs. I love this challenge (60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000), and also love Alyssa!!! She is beautifull
John Lennon is what I came for âźïžâźïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
no Fleetwood Mac? I'm protesting
âYou ever just wanna hug yourself and cryâ
How could one of them not know imagine? You got to know that one.
4:00 it ain't country, its southern rock
Basically the same thing
So its country
Man, Sabrina is gorgeous! đ Also, I havenât seen Jade in a really long time. They chose a lot of nice songs for this. đ
Still no Zeppelin eh?
Back in the 70s and early 80s, bands had their own sound. Kiss, AC/DC, Scorpions, REO Speedwagon, Journey, Foreigner, Styx, etc. They didn't all sound alike.
70s songs: Immigrant Song, I Wanna Be Sedated, Paranoid
I loveeee when they react to 70's music it literally introduces me to so many great songs and artists from the 70's
Need more of these 70s music reactions!
Tom is like my Spirit Animal. Great kid.
Pink Floyd? Led Zeppelin? Clash? Paul Simon? Edit: Cream is a 60s band
Cream is not a 70's band. But they were pretty damn good.
ah, shoot. You're right.
Derek and the Dominos is 70s tho, so Layla is good.
Nah, too "unmainstream" for any of these kids and React to pick if that makes any sense
I'm going to keep suggesting this song... I want to see how many of them mistake it for the theme of Supernatural: Carry on My Wayward Son by Kansas!
Also, Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond.... or pretty much any Neil Diamond song
Perhaps a few Abba Songs as well????
robanah And Blondie!!!
Do they live under a freaking rock?! How can you not know AC/DC?
You HAVE to play some Fleetwood Mac next time !!
Put Andy Gibb, Barbra Streissand, Rod Steward, Bee Gees, Village People, Billy Joel, & Wings in the next episode of this, please...
Please don't.
The Starland Vocal Band ruled in the 70âs.
I saw Lennon, I clicked
Valeria G exactly. â€ïž
3:45 Dionte, you really don't want to be in the back of a pickup in 1970's Alabama. Just sayin.
đŹđŹđŹ
I was waiting for some Fleetwood Mac
skyler mchale đđđ
I love 70s music, I grew up to it thanks to my parents. I request more "Do they know 70s music" challenges!!!!
Lennon 4/8? Seriously? I mean, I'm always forgiving if somebody doesn't know the artist, but it's Lennon, come on people...
Fleetwood Mac Rhiannon for next time please!
My friends dad was the Drummer for Wild Cherry and he recently passed away. Keep him in your prayers. Rest In Peace Ron Beitle.
I grew up in the 70's and I have to say I'm really impressed!
Every time I watch these I'm so amazed by how little they pay attention to the artist
Yes, and they only guess the title of the song by listening for it...
And how did some of them NOT get AC/DC on Highway To Hell?!!?!?!
Do a 60âs version!
One word :
LED ZEPPELIN
Phoenix Himmel thatâs two words lol BUT YES
8:47 !?!?!?!? HE DID NOT JUST SAY THAT LOL
Deep Purple - Smoke on the Water
Steve Miller Band - Fly Like an Eagle
Styx - Come Sail Away
Kansas - Dust in the Wind
Ted Nugent - Cat Scratch Fever
3 Dog Night - Joy to the World
Yes! More 70's please! These are fun!
Sabrina looks like a vampire
I was born in 2001 and I'm only 17 and I knew every song and the artist. Best React video in a while because I was rocking to the music in my bed.
Same here man
I was born 2000 and got all songs and artists except for the Olivia Newton John one and the play that funky music one. Iâve never heard those two in my life
some fleetwood mac, rolling stones, david bowie, led zeppelin, please!
8:15 I can totally agree with him đ dance dance revolution is a classic
You guys need to show them some more Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin
At best Lynard Skynrd is Southern Rock. Not country at least not during the 70s with Hank, Willie, Buck, and Waylon.
Ryan Huelsmann it's 100% southern rock
React to Fleetwood Mac or Stevie Nicks
Coppola Twins I love Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac
They are both amazing!
*whispers* Both.
Can't you see? Marshall Tucker. "Hot for Teacher" Van Halen; Statesboro Blues or One Way out from the Allman Brothers Band. "Highway Song" from Blackfoot. (or Train, Train) Gold Dust Woman Fleetwood Mac; "Barracuda", Heart. (or Crazy on You or Magic Man) My City Was Gone Pretenders. Or any Outlaws or Charlie Daniels hit, lol.
YES YES YES. I love the 70s! Keep em coming please đ
Do "Ballroom Blitz" by Sweet next time! Also, do Teens React to Hopsin!
Do Fleetwood Mac!!!
Please feature Earth, Wind and Fire
Girl in the purple knows her stuff
