Since you cant walk through the door just hug up against it and shoot your missiles while in a bush. They will clip through the door and hit the bosses. Cheap but so is some biss attacks.
I was using strong and slow attacks, so when Sunstar reacted to my attacks with "A scratch?" I thought I stumbled into a bonus boss and panicked. I also thought his attacks were undodgable, only surviving using that one life leeching weapon, and every weapon I usually used to shred through bosses had no ammo left, leaving me with what I usually used on bots. Of course later I learned that the first phase only ended after a certain amount of hits, so my choice in attacks made that first phase last longer...
Sunstar really just thought "You have chosen to defy peace. Then you have chosen WAR with a *_GOD."_* He REALLY wasn't having it after that scratch. But, Seriously. AMAZING Remix!

Fun fact: If you defeat sunstar without using any weapons, his defeat dialog will be different. That means you have to defeat sunstar with only buster shot. What a challenge...

This isn't the Sunstar theme but since thats not being posted, I might as well say. You ever boot up the game, try out the new weapons first. The game says Break Dash makes you invulnerable to attacks! Neat! So I went the entire campaign, got to Sunstar. "Hm, this could be a good time to try and use Break Dash to dodge the laser while I figure out how to actually dodge it!" So I charge up Break Dash, as he fires the laser. The game lies. I got eviscerated. Moral of the story? There is no moral. Break Dash can't oppose a Doomsday Weapon.
Allright, all the fucking spaceship is being consumed, there are explosions, I have to practice aim, there's a god-like mechanic monster behind me, Vegeta phase whatever dies, and this goddam epic theme is playing. Man, that sure was quite an experience
Pro tip: Rain Flush hits all the targets at the same time. In fact, I'm pretty sure you can use most weapons you can use to get past that last part in the Lanfront Ruins to hit them all.
@@erick999dx6 It's likely you've used up your Plant Barrier ammo for the first phase-and it's borderline recommended to die against Eclipse at least once here. You'd need an area nuke to solve the target thingies quicker, and probably either Break Dash or Turbo Man's weapon (Scorch Wheel, I think? Might be wrong) to go faster, not to mention the health refills.
I love the neat little detail where when the song uses less channels, trio's (I guess possession?) sound effect plays, and the song goes back to not only using its expanded channels, but also loops even if it's unintentional, it gets me every time

So the other day, I was playing the Sunstar fight with CCBM (a classes mod with classes referencing actual megaman characters, for the uncultured). I think I was Gutsman. At one point, Sunstar shot the bouncing wave thing, grabbed me, tossed me to the wall, grabbed me again, while also hitting me with the bouncing wave, and then tossed me away. Hell, hadn't I moved away, I think he would've grabbed me again. Anyways, that run was a failure. So then I get Hardman (I was going random), and actually beat Sunstar. But oh no, escape sequence! I manage to live, if only barely, only to get blasted to all the fucks by the explosions at the very first gate. The best part? I lived. The explosions caught up to me a few more times, but I got past those areas quick enough. (Irrelevant to this, the Spark Chaser (as in the weapon) doesn't seem to have its homing capability fully functional when combined with the mod, as it can't hit the targets) Tl;dr: Sunstar's fight's hype as all shit. I wonder how Unholy classes deal with him, what with the extreme health differences and all.

I will admit, I have died to a lot of this game's boss battles and have gotten frustrated every time, from gamma to Bass, to Protoman to the Shark plane, it was hard to contain my anger sometimes due to what felt like unfair strategies. Talking to you, TERRA. But Sunstar? He was different. All of his attacks minus the tracking flames felt tough but manageable to dodge, and kept me on my toes for every second of the fight, it was exciting! Needless to say, Sunstar is my favorite boss. Even more than Eclipse.
