I am from Delhi. For the past 4 years, I have been working in Chennai. These 4 years I have learned a lot about life and people. Tamil people are collectively sweet and kind to even strangers. Initially I had the ego driving me acting like as a North Indian, I'm superior to the Tamil people and did not care about anything. But the karma played it's drama in my life. My mom was diagnosed with cancer and our family decided to treat her in Chennai. It was one of the popular cancer institute in the country. In the 20+ months of journey, so many Tamil people helped my family and supported us a lot. That too, mostly strangers. My relatives and friends in Delhi, they did not even care about my mom's life. I am so grateful to this Tamil people as without them, my family would be in so much turmoil and we would have lost my mom.

The Kerala architecture including the temple architecture in the state is unique and very different from the Dravidian temple architecture found in the other south indian states as well as from the north indian temple architectural style. Also, I'm pretty sure that the food is more spicy in the South.
But i heared from some tamilians that actually only tamil was only davidian state but later they got divided into other 4 south Indian states.
Bro may be i am wrong so don't get hurted as i am from north Indian and all these information i got from some of my tamil friends.
@@UECAbhishekKumar
That is a huge misconception which the Tamils have successfully propagated through the last 100 years due to the false history that was inculcated by the Tamil Nationalist movements of the early 20th century. And since most of the speakers of other Dravidian languages are ignorant about their linguistic history, they believe it.
The Sanskrit speaking Indo Aryans of the north called the southern part of the Indian subcontinent as Dravida. Dravida is a combination of the Sanskrit words Drav and Vida. Drav means water and Vida means part (of land). So Dravida means Part of land that is close to water or surrounded by water or that projects into water. In short, Dravida means Peninsula. And the language of the region came to be known as Dravida language, and the people as Dravida people. And different regions of the south spoke different dialects of the Dravida language. In the beginning, the Dravida speaking people didn't have names for their language. The dialects of the Andhra region evolved and separated from the Dravida language to become Telugu. Then the dialects of the Karnataka region evolved to become the Tulu and Kannada languages. The Buddhist monks were the first people to migrate on a considerable scale to the south from the north. Their language was Pali. In Pali, the Sanskrit word 'Dravida' was uttered as 'Damila'. And Damila corrupted to 'Tamil' in the dialects of Dravida language, because Dravida language didnt have the 'Da' sound. Instead, 'Ta' was used and the 'a' sound at the end was removed. But by that time, as the dialects of Andhra and Karnataka had evolved into different languages, the people and their languages were called by different names, not Dravida. So only the people of Kerala region and Tamil Nadu region were called Dravida (Tamil in the local dialects) at that time. Because, although the spoken dialects of the Kerala region had evolved into Malayalam, for centuries, the people of the region hadn't realized that they were speaking a different language and hence they continued calling it 'Tamil' until the beginning of the colonial rule, when they renamed it as Malayalam (Though, the Brahmins who had migrated to the region from the north around 7th century had identified that the Kerala people were speaking a different language from that of the people in TN region, and hence they called it 'Kerala Bhasha'). And for the same reason, the 1800 year old Sangam literature which was composed in a literary dialect that was common to both TN and Kerala region, wrongly mentions the Kerala Kings or the Cheras as Tamils, along with the Cholas and Pandiyas of the TN region. Please note that the oldest discovered Malayalam inscription which is the Pulimankombai rock inscription is 2200 years old. The word 'Kerala' is the Sanskrit rendition of the Malayalam word 'Cheralam' which means 'Land of the Cheras', and it is mentioned in the Mahabharata, and Ashoka's inscriptions of 3rd century BC. The words 'Dravida' and 'Andhra' are there in the Mahabharata, but you won't find the word 'Tamil' in it.
Now comes the most important and interesting thing. The dialects of Dravida (Tamil) language spoken in the Tamil Nadu region were the last to evolve into a new language, but unlike the people of other regions, the people in TN didn't rename it, and continued calling their new language as 'Tamil'. This is what gave rise to the misconception that Tamil is the oldest language and other Dravidian languages separated from Tamil. The language that we call Tamil today, do not have many of the features of other Dravidian languages, nor do the other Dravidian languages have many of the features that are present in the language that we today call Tamil. There are many older words and features in Malayalam, Tulu, Kannada, and Telugu that are not present in today's Tamil. Click the link below and see the chart. It clearly shows how Tamil is the youngest Dravidian language, but no matter how much you try, the Tamils just won't agree.
images.app.goo.gl/aN2aMP51APWS7kMf7
The Tamil, Kannada, Tulu, and Malayalam languages belong to the South Dravidian branch of the Dravidian language family, while Telugu belongs to the South Central branch. The Tamils don't even believe in this classification, and claim that there is no Proto Dravidian language..
@@j000p wow. Congrats u know very much about ur language.

Every point is well researched and presented. Congrats on the good job done on a very difficult topic with such diversity
Thank you!
The magnificent tapestry of India is beyond words. This video just scratches the surface. The literature of the south Indian languages are also vast and ancient. The East has Bengali which also is derived from Sanskrit like the North Indian languages mentioned but developed strong literature and cultural resurgence in the recent past. Rabindra Nath Tagore wrote in Bengali and many other eminent authors emerged in Bengal. Culturally Bengal also flourished with great saints like Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and his disciple Vivekananda who spoke in the parliament of religions in Chicago and brought Hinduism to the attention of the world. There was also Chaitanya Mahaprabhu who travelled across India and developed modern Vaishnavism widely popular in the North and with the help of Prabhupada now across the world. Unfortunately there are elements in India that want to have one language, one religion, one culture across India saying that is what defines a nation. They never teach the diversity of this mosaic of Indian traditions in India and those that are aware are those that travel and marvel. This video does bring this diversity and its opulence to the attention of the world. It is important that every child in India learns about this fantastic land of ours which we call Bharath and salute the representation of this land as mother or Bharath Matha. Let her wear the multiple hued saris in the multiple ways and shine a bright light not only to Indians but also as a model as to how a united unselfish world can be with all its diversity and understanding.

One correction, Only Kerala use coconut oil to cook and rest of the states use, other oils like groundnut oil, sunflower oil, gingerly oil and one more point, North Indian dishes are more spicy you mentioned, absolutely not for example Andhra Pradesh eat more spicy food than any other states. Areas like Guntur , Rayalaseema areas are the spiciest of all of country.

Also men in South will wear lungies in Tamil Nadu,Kerala, again rest majority of South men wear trousers and shirts, again village men can be seen in lungies .
Every south state is unique. Please explore and do another video plz.

Even lungi is not that common in Kerala and TN , in Kerala mostly people wear lungi only during Temple visits or Festivals .

South Indians are more open to northies, on the other hand, northies mostly follow stereotypes.

Zonally if divided into parts then maharashtra is in west india.
Culturally if categorised then maharashtra is south india
Language basis if categorised then maharashtra is north india.

Interesting video. CZcams is a great way to travel the world when a person has limited means and health and age restrictions. UNCLE GOOGLE REQUIRES MORE TIME TO UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCES IN "DRAVIDIAN CULTURE " ALONE (then unveiling INDIA could be possible only in heaven ) Dravidian culture is far diverse within it. The best example for this can be seen in the Draviian architectures of TAMIL NADU seen on the clip . The state of Kerala which is also considered as DRAVIDIAN has a unique architecture with the rest of DRAVIDIAN.( The curious muffins can take a glance at WIKEPEDIA or VAIKHARI site or.....) The traditions also vary from state to state. One's physical appearance , house designs also vary. Just think how blessed our MOTHER INDIA is with this vast DIVERSITY BUT STILL UNITED:)

North India is always in state of emergency terrorism you think it's a suitable environment to develop so it's fair to even compare....
Btw I ❤️ South India
This is the mentality because of which foreigners come and loot us. We can never be united, it's always Me Me Me, My language, My people, My culture. Why isn't it Our , why do you want a separate country when the whole India is yours? And your Aryans outsider theory? All humans migrated from Africa, migration was and is common among humans, Don't you feel sad when Tamils are discriminated in Sri Lanka , called 'outsiders' even though both Tamils and Sinhalas have helped Sri Lanka grow. Same goes with India. It's your quality that you people are well organized, and North India has chaos, why ? Because north India had to face the wrath of islamic invaders that destroyed North India's societal fabric.
Once India was divided into hundreds of kingdoms, this was used by Europeans who exploited us, even today China is looting and exploiting small African and Asian countries, Sri Lanka , Pakistan, Bangladesh, Central Asian countries all are in China's debt. Only India is not , why ? Because we are large and strong. Do not break this unity, foreign powers have been trying to destroy India since ages, do not let them win this time , after a lot of struggle we got independence, we have to stay together. Yes North Indians and South Indians both have good and bad qualities, but both are children of this land, and today noone in India belongs to a pure race, everyone is mixed. So just like a family has its differences but stays together, same way we must stay together for our own good.
