      oh please ! knock it off ! the Chinese couldn't hit the side of a barn door with their junk. If you haven't been paying any attention, all of the countries like Russia, China, North Korea etc. their weapons are total JUNK, and little windup toys with machine guns aren't going to stop a damned thing, it's all theatre, all the way, it's how they think, because none of them can compete with the stupendous amount of money that America spends on REAL weapons, so, they rely on subterfuge, and recent events show that fact brilliantly. Even nukes need regular maintenance, replacement of the neutron triggers etc. that is wildly expensive and technical, they simply don't have the cash to keep doing that, it's part of the reason the USSR went bankrupt, they can't match the U.S., and neither can the Chinese twits.

    These are only ground machines, they can be obstructed by barriers or ditches. The more concerning ones would be aerial based ones - the drones. That's why developing technology based devices with jamming capability is of paramount importance because they (the drones) will be next.

    • @shesh32
      @shesh32 Před 2 lety +71

      You're seeing from only one side of the potential problem. Drone communications can also be jammed. Because these drones have relatively weak transceivers, they're more prone to signal jam than the any of the ground equipment.

    The fact that we (as humans) are still developing weaponry to pose threats toward each other speaks of retardation (the action of delaying or slowing the progress or development of something). One's ability to destroy doesn't lend to advancement...quite the opposite. The fact that people have the desire to present themselves as a threat gives clear indication of where problems lie.....that's a worldwide statement.

Example, the medical field, aviation, sub exploration and nuclear advancement along with radar and radio, articles grab and camo, camping and survidval, optics and surveillance, stealth and hand to hand combat, and much more. Still it would be nice to live in that perfect world but let's face it humans are predators, it's in our nature. If we didn't make the earth our weapon other predators would wipe us out.

      And thats really the issue here in my eyes that the individual Indian soldier is brave and professional but more poorly equipped than he ought to be do to India holding onto cold war politics and remaining in Russias sphere of influence. This means as the Ukraine has shown us the Indian army is poorly equipped. China on the other hand steal all their tech fro America and just makes poor copies that are as dependable or fully functional/capable in that instance the edge in weaponry has to go to China. Sure the poor Chinese copies of American weapons will break down malfunction or underperform at times but they can just keep making more of them while India cannot produce even the inferior Russian weapons on the same scale. A ckaah is in no ones best interest but India most assert its territorial integrity. The nations will back India against any communist claims I believe.

      Joint research and co-production between India and the USA-UK is now a reality, mostly because the West is now more willing to do so than they were hitherto.

Iron Man movie; "jericho missle"(supposed to look futuristic)....similar has been around since the 90s. In the 2000s, the mini missles already- wirelessly networked to each other, and software targeted the largest non personel (but no 2 missles to the same target...hence the wireless networking between them)....this makes them smarter and more cost effective. Nothing surprises me anymore. I do see the irony of; India fussing about a tank similar to the one India released in 2017.

    1. Robot's design is terrible. The camera is a huge weak spot.
    2. Deploying in the mountain border means cold - cold reduces battery life.
    3. Chinese military supply vehicles at the border regularly break down. These drones will fare no better.
    4. Condensation in icy weather is a bane for machines - mechanical jamming is common.
    This, as usual, is just China showing off to make it look like they've outperformed USA and the West in military technology. I bet you any that actually get sent to Siachen or Ladakh border will be recalled quietly after a few months.

    In modern warfare where offense greatly outclasses defense, unpredictability is key. It doesn’t matter how fast you are, if the enemy knows where you’ll be 10 minutes, you’re dead. But if you have robots all running on the same program, you become very predictable, and thus very dead. Also, at least the early gen AI’s will have trouble distinguishing between civilian and military, making them a war crime waiting to happen. While the perfect AI with access to all information could make the correct decision, like in chess, the very basis of war is to deny your enemy that correct information. While these robots make a good replacement for cannon fodder type soldiers, that’s pretty much it.
