Yakob honestly, Portal 2 is an improvement on Portal 1 in every single way. Portal 1 is incredible, but Portal 2 is easily one of the best video games of all time.

I do, lol, but not a lot. I just really dislike him. The only part I like about him is his cruddy sense of humor, his British accent, and his blue eye. But, I do like how he gets plugged into GLaDOS's mainframe and he's bloody huge when he was soooo small. But still, GLaDOS is boss.

I just found out that the head animator for Wheatley and the other corrupted cores was Karen Prell, who is a puppeteer for the Jim Henson Company. She’s probably most well known for playing Red Fraggle on Fraggle Rock. Now it makes sense why the cores have so much personality!
That’s really cool! That would explain Wheatley’s and the other cores’ quite emotive and detailed expressions! Out of curiosity, did she also animate the Portal 1 cores? 😁👍

Whenever he or Glados started talking I always stood still to listen to everything they say before moving on. They are awesome.
Listening to this stuff made me realize portal is _very_ grimdark. Like, you know how sometimes you "know" something factually and you're like "yeah duh, captain obvious" but that's not the level of knowing I'm talking here. I mean I just realized on a deeper level than just that factual level, like, the implications and the impacts and such. Man, this game is dark.
The first one was darker.
Tom H I think they were about as dark, just in different ways. They would've been much darker had it not been for some of the staff objecting to some of the proposed concepts too, which is a shame.
Part of me kind of wishes that they had gone with the original ending in which Chell successfully performed the core transfer at the end (well, minus the part with her singing of course, they could just have Wheatley not destroy the button) just so Wheatley would be able to return to normal. Maybe then GLaDOS tries to kill Wheatley and Chell has to try and save Wheatley or something. Sure, going to the moon was cool, but I hate how they felt the need to punish a character who didn't turn evil by choice.

well wheatley did seem to be corrupt from the start when he says the "smelly humans" and suggests turning chell in for his own life during the turret sabotage
