- This video showcases the ending sequence and levels of the popular video game "Portal 2". This has been my favourite game throughout the years and I wanted to share the ending with the many people who never managed to get this far due to the difficulty of the game, enjoy!

I like how GlaDos covered her own ass by making sure your trusted companion cube was sent off with you. Just in case you had developed an affection for it, she made sure to send it with you just so you had absolutely no reason to ever come back.
I would absolutely have laid siege to the testing facility to get my cube back.

@@Scorchabl I feel like that theory kind of defeats the purpose of the Companion Cube. Any and all value of the Cube is sentimental value placed on an inanimate object. Maybe.
Placing something important like that in the cube means that for sure there's value in the cube that wasn't just value you projected onto it yourself.
This is ironic when you see that GLaDOS is from a human conscience but Wheatley has a more human voice than her

Wheatley is a moron core, he was never employee. He was supposed to make GLaDOS make a dumb decision and was supposed to watch over test subjects in their room. He didn't do any of that.
I think GLaDOS is older than Wheatley since the cores were put on to stop her from flooding the enrichment center with neurotoxin so glados has a bit older tech

At 16:23 when Glados deleted Caroline, you can see on the ground how the lighting turns from a warm yellow light to a cold blue light, showing how all emotion was stripped from Glados after she deleted Caroline.

I like how Glados knows, The story isn't about her. She knows she can't kill the protagonist no matter how she tried because that's just how fate is. So she did the next best thing, She straight up threw in the towel so she could finally be left alone with her robots and (Leftover subjects if you never played co-op)
What a perfect way to end the most classic puzzle game ever made.
Imagine Glados is a super intelligence and knows of the plot armour that Chell has,because of you,the player.
So she just let you go and ended the game and by releasing Chell,there will be no Portal 3 with her,the story has ended and won't pick up from some point.

When I first realized that you had to shoot the freaking MOON at the end of the game, that was the greatest moment I ever had in gaming. Once I realized that it came full circle (the moon dust for portal surfaces) it just blew my mind. The worst part about portal is the inability to experience it for the first time again.

I just experienced it two days ago 🥺 it was an exceptionally good game wow! So much fun! And there were player made levels to play after too!
I just realized since you can do portals on the moon the portal walls are probably made of some kind of moon fragment.
@@theperipheral when you play through the game, you find out that the walls were layered in paint made out of moon dust, hence the white gel in the Cave Johnson segments.

The turrets singing at the end is actually kind of sad. They're saying goodbye to the person who saved them, because if you hadn't stopped wheatley they would have been destroyed along with the rest of the facility.
One of them even committed suicide; the right cover of it doesn't fully close, signifying a full shutdown

It is actually sad, Cade Johnson wanted Caroline to live when he knew he wouldn’t, but the whole AI thing lead to her going mad and deleting Caroline forever
Tycoon Titian01 If you find the missing sequence, Caroline didn't want this. (It was missing because the actor playing Cave refused to record the lines. He said it sounded like Cave was raping Caroline!) So, in reality, GLADOS gave Caroline the peace she finally wanted.

I love how one of the Turrets are still in the box, besides the other cores and main characters the Turrets are always going to be my favorite. I’ve been playing through the games for achievements, currently doing the Radio ones, but the one which is my favorite secret is where you can find a group of Turrets in the wall singing! Sorry I’m just obsessed with this game and the humor within it, one of my favorite kinds of games are Meta ones with the hints of humor also Robots!
I’ve had so many Portal based dreams revolving around Cores and it’s made me love the creativity surrounding every part of this magnificent game, making theories isn’t my thing, but this is the one game that actually made me go through a loop of thoughts and ideas, since it’s the one game that spits lore at you even when the universe links itself with Half-life because it’s around the same time. You could say my brain put a portal on the ceiling and floor causing a loop of thoughts to fall and return in a never ending circle of theories

Did i just notice something at 1:05 ? The game actually help you not messing up the portal choice by changing the color of the portal that was put on the wall. Notice how the portal that she wanted to go to was orange, and she fired the orange portal at her feet, wich should have gotten her on the part with the gel dripping.

@@velnz5475 no, caroline is the base for GLaDOS so if she really deleted Caroline glados would essentially self destruct, like what happens when you delete system 32 on a windows computer.

This game is still brilliant, perfect voice acting, story, gameplay.
And for a game this old, it’s still better than most new games

Did nobody else notice at 1:12 he actually put the wrong portal at his feet? In almost any other scenario, he’d fly out of the portal under the conversion gel. However, there are a few special cases in the game where the portals will swap when you mess up, to prevent you from dying.

Yeah, Wheatley really seemed panicked when glados started telling him hes not coming back. Hes also stuck with space core and even though space core is my 2nd favourite core, he gets annoying after a while.
They both escaped the facility, one in space and one on earth
Portal in general hits different. It’s very unique compared to other games at the time.

this game is probably the most nostalgic thing ever. 4 year old me would wake up and boot it up on my ps3 and i never figured out how to proceed but i beat it a couple years back and it found out the whole timeline. The way this game brings you back to when the company first started out is crazy seeing it for the first time. This game will always hold a special place in my heart. Then the turrets say their final good bye and its finished.

Its interesting to think the facility now goes that deep and that far, it makes you wonder but also kinda hints at it itself that Glados isn't just talking to you, adding witty quips, and toying with you the whole time... she is very much likely expanding her influence and reach across the world slowly underground to such an insane degree. As I am pretty sure the facility was never THAT big. Course it also makes me wonder how Glados is able to work on it, repair it, and do what she does in expanding the facility like she does when she doesn't seem to have any real ability to do so, unless thats what those mashers Weatly uses are actually for.

Glados giving Chell that burnt companion cube gets more funny the more I think about it. It was probably the cube that she threw into the incinerator before, and the way Glados just dumps it to her was sorta like: 'Here, you can go with your best friend. You didn't actually kill it'. Min Chae No, I don't think so. I read somewhere that communication to the moon takes 1.5 seconds. Thus, 1.5 seconds for the portal to hit the moon, 1.5 seconds for the flash of the portal to reach you.

@@ejay1118 Portal 2's portal gun uses hitscan (probably to circumvent standing between the portals and being able to go everywhere) Portal 1's portal gun uses a projectile which travels fast but not instantly like Portal 2
