That last question brought so many emotions up for me also. My brother died aged 20 in a car accident that was totally not his fault, my mother was taken ill and died 3 days later. My youngest daughter has a dangerous job and has had a couple of very close call accidents and my son is a deployed soldier. I also worry about my disabled partners health and future, but he brings so much love into my life that even if I lose him I will always be thankful for meeting him. Some days I’m almost scared to get out of bed in case it’s the day I hear more bad news.......but there are also so many positives in our lives. My children love their jobs, they’re happy and fulfilled and I have to learn to live with normal parent fears and let them enjoy their life and have the freedom to live the way they choose.

I loved this and can relate my husband and I are also an inter-abled couple. I am completely blind. We both are Christians as well and honestly without God we cannot do it. He is our strength and your last words about your worries turning them into prayers really spoke to me. I am such a worrier

You are both awesome. Younger version of my Beautiful Wife and I. So refreshing to find your channel and about living with a degenerative muscular dystrophy. I subscribe to a few Quadraplegic channels as they are similar to our condition. They are helpful too, but this is way better! Two thumbs up. Hello just sub to this channel so glad I did ,very similar to my story struggles my husband had with his diagnosis with MS and relapses through the years ,he struggled so much was only 29 when diagnosed but sadly passed age 52 , I also had to look after my 3 kids on my own , felt very lonely at times , you both seem so lovely glad I’m here watching your videos 🇬🇧

Oddly enough when I see you both, I don't see a disability between you two at all. I know you're not perfect or anything like that but the strength between you two is so mesmerizing. I am the type to kind of look past disabilities in general honestly. I just treat people like people. I definitely don't ignore their disabilities but I don't let it hinder or "filter" how I see them as a person. ♥️

my grandpa has fshd and my aunts actually a healthy genetic carrier which is interesting. my grandpa actually lived till 85 and lived a pretty healthy life and was a pianist well into his 70s.

@@jennyandtony Yes, actually none of his children showed signs although only one is genetically confirmed as well as his sister didn't show signs. Just him and one of my moms cousins. Weird disease. Thankfully, he lived a long life span so. that's always a good thing and maintained functionality for a good amount of time!

Hello friend! It’s not too personal at all. I have very limited use of my arms. My upper arms are pretty useless by now. My lower arms have decent grip strength, but I can’t extend my fingers at all anymore. There is some shoulder strength still, not much though. Thanks for watching!

Hi Jim! The van we got ourselves but the modifications we got with the help of our vocational rehabilitation services. There are lots of places that sell pre-owned and already modified vans and vehicles. I like and have personally dealt with Superior Van and Mobility. Hope this helps!

I think you are used to the normal life with ebbs and flows. sometimes though like for us with our medically fragile daughter they can decline rapidly for a long time and suffer😢. It is not fun to talk about but its true for us. I hope you can seek counseling to cope with life right now❤
