MY OPINION OVERALL:
-He's best for geo DPS (ning + zhong is insane ER so he's best in that comp) for general comps he'll be better after buffs but still a good option for shield+burst, just not venti level

Thank you for this, I've been wanting to find out how to build my Zhongli myself! I've just gotten him to C2 so I've just been cruising with non-stop jade shields (at C2 it automatically procs with every burst). I currently have no specific build for him aside from 2x petra and 2x bolide, with 2 attack 5* and 1 crit rate 5* artifacts. He's at level 75 and is doing about 20k damage on average, though he does his literally every 12 seconds. I also run a C6 Ningguang with him so they have a bit of a back and forth Q game together as well. Still on the journey to get those elusive geo damage goblets...

@@totoro8709 well 2nd is probably Ning Guang. But the problem with Zhong Li is since he is used to making mora, he dun think of mora as currency but just tools for trading. so he hardly see the need to carry it around.

Zy0x's Artifact luck is stupid good. I have over 200 5* artifacts, and not a single one has as much Crit DMG as MOST of Zy0x's artifacts. seriously, he's got like 10-15 artifacts with 20% or more Crit DMG on substats...
I got 28% cdmg substat yesterday, never even saw that kind of shit be4 in my acc lmao
Resin Impact
I keep getting DEF / HP main stat gold artifacts and when I don’t it’s element damage for an element damage set that doesn’t support it 🙃
Honestly true. I burn thru many fragile resins but get literally no good substats. One or two times im lucky to get crit rate/crit dmg atk, but all the artifact ascension goes to flat hp tf fml im so tired man

Yeah, he also has good rolls on his artifacts with that crit damage. So for a normal f2p player these stats are actually way out of reach. You can only afford a crit damage helmet if you have a critchance weapon, which most crit chance weapons come from gacha or battlepass.

The problem is that, his autos is physical dmg. Which makes him as a mc really unreliable. He's better off supporting a mc like ning who can do consistent dmg while zhong sits back, gives shields and wait for his ultimate.

I fell in love with Ningguang after i got her in the last banner and she's been my main DPS since. Daddy Zhongli will fit perfectly as support once i get him leveled and find some decent artifacts.

Just run Ningguang as Main Dps + Zhongli and you will never want to run anything else 😱🤩
The proper definition for Zhongli should be defense support. He is built for super difficult boss or group fight, because he’s shield is best in the game. No one can tank like Zhongli does. That’s what makes him unique. While the same time give enemies very consistent ult damage, although not super damage like pure dps unit. Because his ult cd is very quick, better than most characters for sure. While the same time he can be built into secondary dps. Although he isn’t the best in this area, but he’s still very decent. These are things he can do if you just throw him in your team. If you want to build a actual geo team however. That’s where Zhongli became a must have. Zhongli’s pillar can react to other geo construct by other geo characters, therefore give double amounts of damage. The unfortunate part is that. Geo team still isn’t the most strongest team yet. So just because that can’t make him the top tier character. But if we get some crazy strong geo characters later. Zhongli will definitely become top tier just because he’s the almighty geo support daddy. We also don’t have missions or challenges that require such strong tank so far. Therefore the value of dps will always be stronger than tank. So Zhongli is absolutely broken at doing what he do. But he isn’t the top tier right now, because the game haven’t push us into that level yet. Although he’s still a very good unit right now.

Basically just use 4gladiator and 1 physic cup. He doesnt have any mechanic to boosts his physic dmg so its not that complicated
fyi for anyone, in the intro clip, the domain gives 75% geo damage bonus. also add in the multiple food and potion buff plus bennett, and pyro resonance. The number is huge but understand the reason for it.

I feel like childe and Zhongli cover each other so well. Especially with bolide on childe. His hold also interrupts fatui shield animations which is hella broken. His cc and other abilities work so well in conjunction with other abilities . Amazing char.

Those streamers and youtubers get their source from the same people/sites. They arent actually knowledgeable about genshin. Zhongli and Xiao are my most wanted characters and idgaf who says what about them, ill make them work because this is Artifact Impact.
they said the same thing about klee bro and she is absolutely destroying floor 12.. they trashed on bennett in start of the game and gave him a B rank.. and now recently they changed him to S tier.. so i wouldnt take the tier lists too seriously.
@@dubstepforever99 Even before the whole floor 12 bs a well equipped klee does more damage than diluc. The people who trashed bennett dont know about support in this game nor like support and were all about dps. I wouldnt take anyone seriously because most of genshin is just copy pasting whatever you see put up the highest numbers
if you feel depressed the problem is your, everyone has different opinions. if you summon a pg because you like it why you should "feel depressed" ?
You need to remember that as long as you have good artifacts any character is great in this game. Math and elements just makes some characters better than other and zhongli unfortunately suffers from both of these issues

you should consider that with the same amount of investment ningguang has better burst support dps, and on top of that while zhongli outside of his ult he has no dmg while ningguang can be your main dps if needed

I'm keeping my hp stat artifacts until 1.3, my current hp is 28k with geo dmg bonuses, but if i stacking hp it will be 36k. Let's just see how 1.3 buffs really like
What's the buff for zhongli? I just started build him
@@yotsuba361 in 1.3 zhongli, his normal attacks damage is scaled with 1.3% of his max hp. For the stone stele damage also scaled with 1.9% of his max HP (Dominance of earth passive)
making zhongli more durable by reduce the interuptions during the dominus lapidis (press) cast.
If there is no stone stele present at that time the dominus lapidis (press) will also summon the stone stele. Maximum amount 1 stone stele at a time (except you have C1 zhongli)
Shield buff. Whenever there is an enemies nearby, zhongli shield will reduce 20% of their physical and elemental dmg (shield ressonance passive)
