The tan Ulach gives you a bad luck debuff
This Debuff can be countered by wearing all tan. In order for this to work , your gun must also be tan.

10:06 another small benefit of the tagilla mask is the flashbang reduction, I think its the highest in the game at 70% reduction and has saved me from a ks23 flashbang user
4:05 ULACH actually does reduce your hearing! it is a small amount, but any helmet with ear protection does!

that heavy trooper mask, my stack all refer to it as the mando mask, is insanely good if you can get one early wipe. in the first week of this wipe, i went on a 15 raid survival streak with that thing, tanking headshots in 5 or more of the raids, mostly from buckshot. compared to last wipe, i remember dying 3 different times in my first week to random headshots from shotgun scavs, one of the most frustrating things in tarkov.

With new hirboxes, the sphera and kiver will return if you want to avoid head ears
You still won't be able to have a headset though, really don't think that is worth class 3, not outside of the first week anyway imo
5:47 The Fast Ears also has an attachable equipment slot used to put on the Ops-Core FAST Gunsight Mandible for jaws.
oh and the airsoft helmet is ideal for budget nvg raids, it's cheaper AND lighter than the nvg mounts that offer no protection. and i have had it ricochet decent ammo and save my life.
Ricochet chance is not “chance” it is the angles it can bounce from- meaning two helmets with the same value can have a wild difference in ricochets as it depends on the SHAPE of the helmet

shattered mask saved me so many times its not even funny to me its the best in slot late wipe. when enemies are behind u youre dead 99% of the time anyways no matter the helmet and facing people gets u head eyes anyways late wipe because of the ammo but shattered deflected so many face shots for me its insane also no head eyes from shotgun scavs across the map
real it's the best apart from literal lvl 6 helms
I thought the same too and then looking directly at a scav I got top of nape using 12/70 buckshot with the shattered on 😂 I'm a mask enjoyed as well but man was a heated
its not the best, best is fast mt with trooper mask
it gives everything shattered gives plus its a real helmet and protects from the back and ears
just very expensive
also allows you to wear glasses that give you even more eyes protection
Another nice part of the Fast MT is the ear covers can have the mandible as well which covers everything but your eyes and gives you class 2 on your jaws class 3 on your ears and with glasses class 1 on eyes. You get a rainbow effect of having class 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, for eyes, jaw, ears, nape, top. Realistically only ears nape and top will ever stop a bullet but at least jaw and ears have a shot at blocking buckshot and the rest is just a dice roll. I like that set up more than trooper because class 2 without any class 5 isn't great imo
Interesting that you didn’t touch on this, but once I am flush with cash I will start buying Bastions from the flea and running them unplated instead of the TC-2000’s because it saves you almost a whole kilogram of loadout weight. I don’t run face shields or ULACHs because the sound information is most important to me (anything with ear hitbox protection like the ULACH does cut your hearing slightly) and the other differences between options are negligible.
I also run Batwolves because they look cool and that‘s worth 25k 8)

To be fair I’d expect helmets to remain, MOSTLY similar, given the difference being extra armor zones making them IMO maybe better? Depending on what helmet and how they implement the armor zones with helmets.

he’s one of the ones that really does treat this like a job so I wouldn’t doubt he pre records videos and writes scripts in advance, he may not want to release an outdated video considering things may change

I have been ratting some Chad that was wearing thro and RysT with face shield, he tanked like 4( headshot M856A1) and still was alive but the downside of it was that he couldn't see me where I was due to cracks on the shield and tremor effect
Rip fast mandible being covered. That thing has saved my jaws countless times vs scav 7mm buck
There's only 3 helmets i like to use and those are the black ulach, the bastion + t6 plate and the altyn (or ryz t). Altyn is definitely my favourite, but i only like using it paired with a thermal because if you can't rely on hearing you better make sure you see them from a distance first. The biggest downside of this helmet is that you can't purchase it, so i usually only use it when i'm playing with at least 2 other people.
In other situations the bastion + plate is my favourite helm. Being able to reliably tank most endgame round is amazing. However you better make sure you invest in bastion plates early wipe while they're around 100K. Otherwise it isn't worth it.
When money is an issue or your bastion helmet got you killed one too many times in the ears then i'd stick with the black ulach. it's cheap (if your wipe is going decent) and even though t4 probably won't help you against any serious player, it will still save you from scavs, players scavs and the odd ricochet from the bigger bullets.

@gigabeef idk if I missed it but with the fast MT you can also wear ear protectection and ears (m32's maybe others) with the trooper face sheild
It's only class 3 though
as a solo only player i use soundlock on my computer that turns everything up on my desktop by like 200% in return using a altyn with about 60 in game sound its like having gshz's on and its not bannable
Ulach isn’t worth it, just wear a TC 2001/2002 instead. Costs around double the price or more (tan ulach is too visible to enemies, don’t use it), no nvg mount, doesn’t come back in insurance much, and only has additional ear protection which you don’t die to very much. Economically the ulach makes no sense, it’s fine if you’re willing to spend the money though.
Ulach looks really nice which is a good enough reason for me

There was this one time my pmc condor glasses bouced a M61
is ricochet still a thing in 0.14? since its no more listed as a stat on helmets
I disagree about the kiver, with the faceshield it's a good option for factory to help with those close range bolt or pistol kills. It's not too expensive compared to what it offers even if, of course, it won't compensate for skill.
Also, there are two kinds of people saying helmets are useless: people who don't know shit and haven't been saved by one yet, and people who enjoy SMGs so much they lie so people offer easier headshots.
the tagilla helmet imo is worth it, tagilla is so easy to kill especially if you have good ammo or leg meta and get up close, and if you're lucky and have good armor then you can fight where he shoots at you, i'd reccomend running a saiga with a full 20 round of piranha and thats it. enjoy ur free tagilla loot lol

I think the Trooper gets overlooked alot. Sure, it won't stop anything big , but if you get eyed you are doubling your ricochet chance.
My good old helmet is bear cap Olive Green. Its cheap and offers Same protection as any other helmet.❤
The lshz can also use the trooper face mask with nvg but you my have left it off since it’s level 3 .
Ricochets are so incredibly goofy sometimes, I’ve had raids wearing the lvl 4 zsh helms where I can eat 55A1, BP and 8.5 buckshot but also I’ve had my 8.5 all roll off a guy’s peepee helmet because he was laying down, allowing him to tank 9 consecutive hits 🤣
Well cause the last one isn’t ricochet, it’s just not penetrating
@@lowiqcsgo9366 nah mate I was watching the sparks hit his helmet, bounce and hit the ground below, the trashcan he was laying next to (left side prone in factory gate 3 exit dumpster) and into his body, that peepee helmet I can’t remember the name the cheapest one it ricochets some stupid rounds

It's actually not even bad considering it's so lightweight, cheap, no debuffs, and finally it has the best ricochet chance levels.

How is the ulach the best protection that doesent interfere with anything? Wouldn't that go to the fast with mandible and ears or something?
Less than class 4 isn't worth imo, hence 3/5 on the ulach is good

The only head protection that has ever or will ever work is the Altyn and the Ulach.
All other helmets only ever work via Russian voodoo magic and placebo. Face shields technically work but only against scabs and it’s still 50/50 so it isn’t worth.
I personally am truly enlightened and understand that helmets are a waste of money, the level of camouflage afforded to you by the Chimera boonie is such that you won’t even need a helmet, you lay down in the grass and simply phase out of the visible spectrum of light, making you impossible to shoot.
This is a Timmy justifying being broke. I have 54 concussions this wipe, that is 54 times a helmet saved my life lmao.

I thought all helmets that have ear protection do reduce hearing a bit, so i prefer no ear protection. Am i wrong about this one? did anyone test that?

in my own experience, most helmets seem to NOT last even 1 hit even at range lately to more basic ammo, and the spicier stuff pretty much makes it a financial liability
Interesting thing about the condor glasses: If you get shot at by a round that the condor can stop, it will stop it and your faceshield won’t get cracked if you’re using a Rys T. Happened to me once whilst using a Kedr Man using SP7

You say you'd still rather have a headset than a class 3 helmet, but in all honesty, If I could choose one for free between a 30k headset or a found in raid only Altyn helmet, Me and I think many others would go with the headset every time. I think that says enough about how bad this ballance between headphones and helmets is, the headsets are dirt cheap and stupidly overpowered while the helmets are insanely expensive but practically useless.
If any of u has the chance of getting or using a bastion use it, I died to a mf that boundced M855A1 in head and I another raid some guy also bounced .338 Lapua, don't ask me how but he did it with that fucking helmet
Really hop the fix the anti cheat the fact that there ar cheats that remove any textures when you use a face cover how sad is that. And how hard is it to just block ads with face covers on common bsg you can do better
They need te remove headsets from the game, you are either deaf or can hear footsteps through 5 buildings atm.
