    Today I lifted a 2020 Silverado 2500 single cab with the gas 6.6 and it had a royal truck body bed on it total weight was about 1100, my lift is rated 10,000 asymmetric. It went up fine, I put a put pole jack on the rear diff. Had to get that oil change and rotate done💪

    ive learned more about lifts from 2 of your videos than the 35 others i have watched. this is great detail. i have one question about safety locks. do lifts mechanically lock a vehicle when its lifted (at any height desired) or it still relies on Hydraulic pressure to keep it lifted the entire time? ive seen some videos or models that have certian holes for safety bars etc....

      The lift is raised then lowered until it rests on locks all two posts are the same. I guess for redundancy the hydraulics are still active as is the synchronization cables so both shuttles are connected even if one failed and there are dual rams but I don't believe dual pumps and pipes. So many redundancy circuits. Don't get under a lift that's not lowered onto the locks

    I have a bendpak, asymmetrical turn column at home, 10k, love it.

      We used to carry BendPak. Nice lifts. We had to quit offering them because the day you need something from them, like a replacement part, you'll find they're not as easy to deal as you'd wish.

    We'd like to get a lift but can't determine which would be best for our application. We'd be lifting our same cars, 04 Suburban, 06 1500 Silverado Crew Cab, 4 Vettes (04, 08, 13, 14), 71 and 82 T-Bird, 77 Trans Am, 04 Mercury Mountaineer and a 04 Grand Cherokee. Nothing too heavy. Use would be for oil changes, brakes, minor tinkering. Prolly more lifting and admiring than actually working on anything :)
    I'm thinking the 45 degree canted Asymmetric would be the best. My only concern with that is visually, the vehicles look off center when lifted. That'd take a bit to get used to. Great video!

    Hi, my name is George, I like the way you’re explaining the difference between the lifts .
    My question is regarding a lift I purchased about two months ago Model #
    NW-2-9k-ACD , on their website it’s specifically described as Symmetrical and Asymmetrical lift . The arms are straight one shorter and one longer (not curved), they are opening in opposing sids, not in the same side that means that they are asymmetrical ?? Please help me

    • @RedlineStands
      @RedlineStands  Před 4 lety +2

      So, symmetric lifts feature towers that are parallel and all four arms that are all identical. If anything from that equation is not satisfied, the lift is asymmetric. Many companies define asymmetric as something different, but at the end of the day, asymmetric means nothing more than the left side is not the same as the right side, and/or the front is not the same as the back. That's it.

    I’m building a home shop. I’ll need to service pickups 1/2 to 1 ton and 1 ton Ford transit extended. I believe the max weight would or shouldn’t be over 12,000 lbs.
    How do I chose the correct lift?

    • @RedlineStands
      @RedlineStands  Před 2 lety

      Suppose the max weight is 12k pounds. You can pretty much bet it will be heavy in the front due to the diesel engine. Because of this, you'll need a larger lift than a 12k. See this video below.

      I recommend a 15K. See below. Thanks.

    Are Tuxedo lifts made in the same factory as titan?

    • @RedlineStands
      @RedlineStands  Před 3 lety +1

      Most of them are. I know Titan sources their lifts from more than one factory.
