Looking around my house, there's not much I have that I needed, I pretty much just wanted it. When I think back to the times I could afford to buy what I wanted, I smile and enjoy the memory of buying what spoke to me. Life isn't about what we just need, it's about what we walk up to and recognize as something that's going home with us. Those moments as much as anything else are special because what we make a home with are the very things we enjoy having around us.
Couldn't agree more. It's about making memories and enjoying life. I have too many nice things but I look at them and they make me smile. I didn't pay a lot for them which is even better. My family can sell them and keep a few to remember me when I'm gone. Anything else can go to worthy causes! Recycling at its best.

Story time! Went to a local thrift store yesterday. Saw a bronze piece that had some gold leaf overlay. Paid $6 on this item I had no idea what it was or what is was used for.
Got home, researched.
Discovered the piece was from the Zhou Dynasty, called a "pouring vessel" and is a museum-quality piece valued over $1200. YAAAAAAAY!

Mom’s right, color placement is everything. The eyes go right to bright and pastel colors. Every space should have pops of colors. Love your booth, so wish we had a place like yours near me. ❤️

If I had something in my basket to buy-you'd have to pry it from me. That was BS and in poor taste for a "Vendor" to lay claim to something you had the intention to buy. But you are such a nice and gracious person you went with the flow. Classy.
If they "laid claim" to it, they should have taken it to the front and put on hold for them. If something is in a booth and on display, it should be fair game! You're right...such BS!

I don't know why, but when you look at items that are chipped and are trying to decide if they are forgivable or not, it brings me back to the Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer movie and the land of misfit toys wanting homes. I imagine all of the chipped items getting excited when you come to shop to see if they are going to get to go to a forever home. 😂

No, no, no…. There was not a hold on that White Lucite Floral arrangement. If she had laid claim to it, why was there not a hold on it like the vases in your both? I know you said it was no big deal but… it kinda is when store policy is concerned.. why place hold on items in one both and not another? Placing hold on items for any any amount of time disrupts an immediate sale of by another paying patron.

I found a frog sitting on his hind legs, playing a flute about 18” tall, made of cement, my husband asked me “do you want it?” I asked are you going to carry it to the car? He did!❤

I had a GW cross stitch day,exactly like the one you had! I found perfectly framed $3 pieces scattered EVERYWHERE. I I went around 3 times and found 7. ( the first one said hunt- was it a sign) I laughed thinking of you everytime I found a new one.

I have a mini stone owl that I purchased several years ago at a botanical garden. I would have definitely bought the large one as well!
I have that same stone owl in my veggie garden. I got him at my local nursery and they had smaller ones as well.
So funny you mentioned the creepy floors because I’m worried they are too old to support all that wait and it’s scary! Wondering if they take that all into consideration with so many heavy items and all the cabinets holding it all too. I assume they have to have some reinforcement beams.
That floral piece should have makers mark on bottom somewhere. Underneath a leaf or petal. I have a Christmas pointsettia one. Luv it! Mine is an Italian maker. Your base looks really similar to mine so I am guessing it is the same.

I purchased a similar stone owl about 15yrs ago at Bill Campbell’s studio/store. There were other featured artisans besides Bill and his wife’s pieces available.
