Wonderful! I found an injured one a couple days ago and have been taking care of it ever since. I hand feed it flowers, fruit and beetle jelly
I am in the same situation right now
Very Cool! 💚
Thank you for your video. I found one in Kochi Japan. I'm taking care of it. I found her a dirty ash tray almost dead. I fed her water mixed with honey. Also some pear. She loved them both. Then I put her in a flower pot filled with soil.she eventually buried herself underneath the soil and has been there for almost 24 hours. I can see the soil move from time to time so I know she is still alive. I wonder if she is laying eggs?
Hey what happened! Can you give an update??
I love these guys.
1:23 so they are family to the scarabs :) such a conincidence.
Found one next to my local Chinese resteraunt squashed.. I doubt they are native to Scotland and it was about 2 and a half inches long... I almost picked it up thinking it was lost jewelry but soon got grossed out by it being a dead insect... A shame..
Was very confused by the color as Rose Chafers are tan, and have a very different shape
This is a Rose Chafer (Cetonia aurata) a European beetle. Rose Chafers in the US refers to the genus Macrodactylus a family of 110 species, the tan beetle you mention is possibly Macrodactylus subspinosus or a closely related species.
