Really hope Darkwing gets more to do in the show. Do you think he defeated the Alternate Mark or did he escape and let the monsters deal with him?
Pretty sure the monsters dealt with him. But for Darkwing itself since he has the power to enter in and out of the Dark dimension he was more useful so they used him as a vessel.
Will debbie get one? Or only heroes & villains. Mostly because this adaptation makes more use of the character then what sadly little use she gets in the original comic
Def the alternate mark and him might've worked together. I can see Darkwing mentally saving that Mark and that mark sacrificing himself to save dark wing. No way could darkwing ever defeat Mark, it's impossible.
What's noticeable is that DW2 survived against an Evil Mark Grayson too. Which technically makes him stronger than Space Freddie Mercury.

@ZyroShadowPony Technically we never saw an Invicibody so who knows, maybe that Invincible is still alive in another part of Shadowverse as well.

Genuinely hope we see more of him this season. If they did it right they could have some kind of Batman/Superman dynamic with invincible. As unlikely as that is he’s still one of the characters I’m more interested in so far.
It would be so interesting to see how show Cecil handles these events compared to the comic. He has all ready shown to be a more compassionate version than his cold hearted one. I can even imagine when Mark confronts him on the issue he could probably say something along the lines of "Yeah... your right, I did try and cover that up. I didn't know how to tell the team how one of their fellow heroes had a mental break down. I didn't know how to tell your mother how I brought Donald back as well' Something along those lines kinda thing. It would be interesting to learn more of the beings that would send Mark back to the past, how that situation plays put. If it ends up differently or not
Yeah, the show has spent a lot of extra time to make Cecil a more nuanced and chill person. He still uses bad tactics, but we also see him more emotional, heroic, desperate and hands on than before. I hope that the falling out with Mark is handled with care, and that he remains as he was in season 1.

@@miguelvelez7221 Nick Fury is literally just Cecil though. Plus the naming alliteration is more of a marvel thing. It’s the LL names that are common to DC/Superman
I can kinda see how you’d think he’s a Lex reference but other than the few times he’s been a good guy or a politician it’s usually nothing Like this

@@pickedceasar1216 I think that there's so much that is an inversion of the Superman mythos plays into what I am saying. In the story of Omni-Man as "hero", turned villain, who is the lone, mortal figure using his cunning and access to vast resources and cutting edge technology to thwart the alien with God tier power ? And again, with a memorable alliterative name? Also, like Lex, Cecil is "scarred" (out of choice, because... Lex could cure his Baldness with his genius at anytime. He could cure cancer if he wanted remember.) from an encounter with the "super human" world and it informs who he is and why he does what he does. I think the Nick Fury's aspect comes from Kirkman figuring out where a inverse version of Lex would fit into this world and for a lot of reasons including the practicality of how to give that character resources and standing in the narrative thought "That guy would be in charge of their SHIELD or CHECKMATE".
I also would point out Fury himself doesn't have an alliterative name, and Stedman isn't close to touching some analogy for "Fury" as a term.
Again, that's just been my take for a long time now. The inversion of this "Superman" having his son actually be partially mentored by his "Lex".
I wonder if show Darkwing had the shadowverse powers? I say this because Darkwing throws his bombs towards Omni-Man, then suddenly appears above him, and that kind of suicide drop doesn't make sense unless he planned to drag Omni-Man into the shadowverse... which makes much more sense

To me I think he does have the shadow powers cause he said the exo suit just makes him stronger
I like to think the 1st Darkwing had just discovered the powers and was still testing it out before the fight with Omni man

I think darkwing use the shadow to seal a monster inside that why he trying to not use it?
He does have the shadowverse power because this kid did not make any of this technology. He just stole the technology. But I don't think he used this. Think about when he was underneath that rubble and he was saving a person that would have been the perfect time to use it but he didn't and this was when he knew he may have died not when he was trying to make a strategy so I have to say that may not be the case because I think he does but I believe more importantly, that he has a very big reason.That's gonna be revealed later why he doesn't use it or a consequence he had too using it.
So far in the animation they made Darkwing 2 even more crazy than he actually was. For example in the show when Mark talked to Cecil with the CoM, he thought he could “hear the voices too” rather than assuming Mark was the crazy one like Nolan one with that “figures” line.
Animation also went too fast during the whole Shadowverse portion.
This was less “Darkwing 2 went insane” and more Darkwing 2 was pissed about his predecessor dying and was just lashing out.”

I don't think he's supposed to be crazy though, the "voices" that he hears likely has to do with his powers of the shadowverse, he likely really is hearing voices of the creatures on the other side. So he's not going crazy he just has a weird power.
You're right on almost every point. Although, the fact of the matter is, he is insane because he's actively doing everything he knows is evil because dark wing was never like this. He never wanted this and he was a good person.But the main thing i'm gonna have to say is how he acts between how he hates being called sidekick and refers to it as degrading versus the idea of the dark zone the voices that he's saying that invincible hears them too but what really gets me to say he's insane at this point is when he actually looks at invincible and screams at him. I'm the hero here this entire time. It looks like this guy has been trying to take over his predecessor's position. Was caught in the brutality of what his job really was beyond what he was used to and being forced and watched dark wind die under mysterious circumstances by the very same people that he trusted not to mention the amount of stress that this person must have been based on the same Batman nonsense, so he must have been. A kid so this could have been his father figure and given how he emphasizes 3 things. The voices when mark's talking to Cecil.The fact that the shadow world thing is something that he seems to be actively using a lot even though dark wing never used it And if you all want to say because dark wings nonsense nonsense. Remember that this is the same guy who was about to give his life to save a lady but wasn't going to use this technology to go to the shadow world, which was clearly in his ability, so there's more to it than just the monsters, because if that was the case, he would have used this. In the past, maybe the monsters can get through. When you could use the portal, maybe you go insane when you keep going in. But the final thing that really gives the point is how we emphasize. As I'm the hero here, I am saving people. You're the bad guy, you're the villain.
It seems to me like he's so in this belief that I don't think he's even doing this because he thinks he's the good guy. I think he's saying this because he believes he is dark wing. And dark wing is a good guy, and so this is a kid lashing out trying to be the father figure that he could never be and is only barely filling his shoes. Like so many historical figures in the past , trying to recreate the achievements of their fathers only to do things a 1000 times more horrible than they ever could.

I really like Darkwing. I wouldn't have in mind if they're gonna do the same thing that made with Damien Darkblood in Season 1. Picking a very minor character and made him a bit more intresting than "Batman but murderous".
I wouldn't have in mind to see him taking a different path to the comic one, Robert Kirkman even stated that he does want to explore original storylines so what they could do is actually have him and Invincible having a Batman/Superman kind of relationship.
I also hope in a Guardians of the Globe special where we see the formation of the team.
Midnight city is such a fun comic book concept. I would mind reading more stories about and the people than inhabit it

Darkwing is kinda like Black Noir from The Boys. He just seems like a cool character that has a lot more to them than you’d initially think
I still hate the comics finale, I am actually happy they killed Black Noir off so there was no risk of the "evil twin" bullshit to happen
And just like black noir,they somehow have abilities to survive (or stall)supermen of their respective universes

Cecil's loyal man, who appears to be back from the dead, Donald. Though I suspect you will wait till the show actually addresses how he came back before that video.
So the big reason why there isn’t a Donald Ferguson video yet is because a lot of his appearances happen in the comic series Brit. Which I’ve only read the first two graphic novels. It’s taking a while but with the holidays coming up I will have more time to dedicate to it.
