Wow ! ! ! I was given a NSX-d70 140w per channel the other day. The CD changer didn't read. I used common rubber O-rings for the same repair. Great sounding unit and ya can't beat the price...Thanks for posting this.
Mine does this...but it spins the CD like it's reading it and then it stops...it does this 3 times...then tries to switch to another CD...if you have all 3 CDs in it it just doesn't read it....A little different than yours but what could be the issue??
Do you have any repair recommendations for an aiwa cx-na555 system, with a cd player that spins but doesn't read. I have already tried to run a lens cleaner but it does the same thing as with a regular cd; spins a couple of times but doesn't play. Thanks.
Sometimes the laser diode burns up and fails and if that's the case you can try to replace the laser diode but if it can't be replaced then you might have no choice but to chuck the entire stereo or continue to use the other working features on the stereo sometimes when the cd player on a stereo fails it can ruin your cds and you will have laser burns on your cds so be careful when putting cds in a cd player that is about to malfunction also the bearings on the CD player motor can go bad too and that can cause the cd to not spin at all
have a model CX-NA31 with a CD ISSUE: spins three times and quits... the tray shifts to the next CD and does the same thing... Replacement parts aren't available - best thing about it is the programmable features and the optical output but their CD laser eyes have a short lifespan
I have the same stereo. The cd plate wouldn't rotate. It does work when I unscrew the plate from the mechanism but won't rotate with the plate attached. Any ideas what could be the problem? Is the motor just to weak after all the years?
Same here have you found a fix, mine opens and closes but the disk tray wont spin and it makes a loud buzzing noise also the disc tray comes out by itself sometimes.
I wish I could follow this, but between the whooshing and mumbling and bad filming...I am looking elsewhere. Good to know that my problem is fixable, anyway.
It would be nice to actually see what you did so I could follow the same process but the audio was muted, the camera look like it was being held by someone who kept dropping it, and I have no idea what you did to the CD player to fix it. I appreciate videos like this for their attempts to help people but this was just something I could’ve done at home. I’ve taken apart 1 million pieces of equipment and fixed many more pieces of equipment but this Iowa three disc changer has always boggled me and your video did nothing to help me figure out how to attempt to fix it. So I will thank you for the attempt but I will tell you that this was one of the worst help videos

you can only move Horizontally Potentiometer 103 or xxx. Laser cd. then you can read the cd. try some of her to move. Potentiometer
@@RepairAllTV How can you tell when the potentiometer is at 103? is there a way to gage this number?
Are you in California, by chance? I would love to hire you fix my stereo.

Kasia Równy Blog
Kasia Równy Blog the problem can be that the bearings in the motor have gone bad and if that's the case then it can't be fixed
Could be a bad belt.
Mine was a bad belt - too loose.
thanks
For goodness sake, can't anyone hold the camera for you?
