This was one of the first tutorial/info I followed without practicing the things discussed in it but I learned so much from it. Cell fractures, parenting those fractures to an empty, location-only transformation, a light overview of the options in the fractures options, and how to make a glowing crystal that doesn't need sub-surf scatter. For under 20 minutes you covered so much in a way that I fully enjoyed learning from. I wish you the best in the future dude. ^_^
I imagine this is super easy but I'd like a tutorial on those square tiles. I dunno why but mine always look super unnatural. I don't know if it's the texturing, the modeling or the lighting but something gets me hung up 👀
can try a different texture, or try unwrapping that texture, maybe even adding a color ramp between the texture and emission or emission strength. those are the main things making the crystals look cool. ya can move around the uv map in the uv editor to find better locations, more complex and crowded image textures make it look better as far as i can see
Hey Max, your videos have helped tremendously on my blender progress. Do you think you could make a video about your cycle render settings? Keep up the great work, grateful for people like you!
Maybe I would try here mix shader where I add a transperant bsdf with the principle bsdf where I add alpha blend in transperant bsdf. Then I would add the noise texture with color ramp for randomness ig. That would give the same result as u have shown
Mine is not doing the same thing. Even with Cell Fracture on default, mine is creating the spiked divisions but separating the exterior face. Also I still have a solid sphere in the center. From what I can see, the only difference is that I'm using 4.0...
ok, I love how you do all this, but can you pleeease make a tutorial on how to add models to saved assets and how to make it where you can drag them into any save?
Just wondering when I clicked the image texture in the shader editor everytime, why my UV editor won't show the image? And also when I switched the image like 17:05 , UV editor won't change, either ....
quick question because I'm a complete noob when it comes to computer hardware. How do you have 24gb of VRAM? I have 8GB only. I have a 12th Gen Intel Core i7 -12700 and a GeForce RTX 3070. Like what can I do to increase my numbers? Cuz when I'm making scenes I have to restart blender alot and it crashes sometimes cuz that 8GB cap is hit.
He has RTX4090 (or 3090) or something from a professional line up, you can not increase your video memory, only way is buying new card. I used to have RTX2080 with 8Gb and it was kinda ok, maybe you should watch some videos about optimization your workflow or Blender settings
No, there may be a complicated way to make that work but I’m pretty sure getting another 3070 won’t increase VRAM. Best thing to do in my opinion would be sell the 3070 and get a 3090 if possible, and assuming your computer can handle it (check nvidias website for requirements). I made the same switch and it’s awesome
If you dont have the cell Fracture option, go into Edit/Preferences/Add-ons, then type in Cell Fracture o/
thanks! was so confused why I didnt see it as an alternative
Carefull he's a hero
bro just saved MY LIFE thank you
Bro thank you so much your a legend
you are the best
So many good tips in here, gonna have fun trying this out.
Can’t thank you enough for your tutorials.

your tutorials are invaluable dude, they've been helping a lot with an upcoming project of mine
you are a true artist and a master of Blender love your work ❤

Same with me 😅

I think it's because you're displaying with eevee by default, try to switch to cycles (+gpu compute)
Ok how have I not seen your channel till now amazing work bro!
I had knowledge on cell fracture, but the texturing portion here was great info! Thanks!
This is an absolute gem of a tutorial!
You've inspired me to do more, thank you!
Amazing Max, Thank you!
This is an amazing and wonderful lecture. I am so lucky to have found this channel. Thank you.
it's so awesome addon and tutorial
i'll try it. Thanks!
Very inspiring and cool as always.
Hey Max, your videos have helped tremendously on my blender progress. Do you think you could make a video about your cycle render settings? Keep up the great work, grateful for people like you!
yes it's a good way to make some interesting components for a scene :O) it was good to see your exploration of this :O)
Perfect! Thank you!
thank you! interesting and beautiful!
Very cool !
hey maX, tnks for share this. great video. GL
Hey max, how do you make red beam to moon on ur cosmic dread artwork? Is it post pro or u did it in blender?

Im curious what are your settings? cause in my viewport the objects look rough but roughness is off
thanks
I see Max Hay, i press Like.

One more to watch and watch again in slow motion to fully understand all the tips ! Thank You :)
thanks bro
Do you have a video on how you setup your layout?
Very interesting
ur great
ok, I love how you do all this, but can you pleeease make a tutorial on how to add models to saved assets and how to make it where you can drag them into any save?
Theres lot of tutorials for that
theres an addon, i believe its kitbash and hes made a video on this
if you're talking about using the asset browser, there is a tonne of video tutorials out there on how to set it up and add your own models to it

He has a video on this already: czcams.com/video/fd8mXdtVAaA/video.html
Lol I was just trying to do this yesterday.
hi max, i'm thinking about to animate this. what nodes that i can automate on my timeline?
lighting tutorial please
If u click F9 u will get the menu back unless u change some perimeters
Can you animate scaling the locations?
what hotkey did you use to pull up the display as menu at 16:06? Was it the addon or is it a built in hotkey?
Just wondering when I clicked the image texture in the shader editor everytime, why my UV editor won't show the image?

I'm have a tough time getting transform by location to work. Scale works fine until I click location, when its clicks nothing moves.
how do you get the people models :o
Hello, does anyone know where he gets his human models ? thank you
i just followed the tutorial but my volume scatter looks like a bunch of little dots instead of mist, any solution for this issue? blender 3.4.1
RTX 2080 super here, is 40 minutes of render time normal?
Plzzzz Can someone tell me how he"s getting that rendered screen where we can see our final output???
it can't be work on eevee right?

@@metallmen what if I bought another let’s say 3070. Would that double what I have? So go up to 16 if I use them simultaneously?
