He survived 5 days with a boulder weighing hundreds of pounds on his arm, then he cut off his own arm which I remind you would be excruciating pain. And then, with his cut off arm and being extremely dehydrated/hungry, he was able to get down the mountain. He has all my respect 100%.
Not just that, he cut it off with a POCKET KNIFE. Not a sword or machete that would have been one quick motion, but a small blade that probably took several attempts to slice through. Thats absolutely insane, this guy is amazing
@@hdudhehdhd2222 Its called the sheer will to live
@@codymann6152 yeah for sure. This man’s willpower is something else. Honestly i dont think id ever be able to do something like this
My question is how did he not shit or piss for 5 days. Genuinely asking
@@Ethan_here230 he did though, it’s not like he wouldn’t have, probably just did it in his pants or used the other arm to pull them down i mean getting ur clothes dirty isn’t a huge deal in this situation, it’s life or desth
Props to the cameraman for surviving that long without any food or water.
He ate the arm
I think it was a scene of the movie
Who says the cameraman wasn't eating cheese-grilled sandwiches and hot chocolate the whole time?
@@Advokaiser Obviously they would use both of their hands to hold the camera, especially when flying. If they accidentally dropped it or it fell over they would have to buy a new one.
@@fishyfish201 Darn it, how did I NOT think of that obviously logical fact? :0
This sacrifice is the only reason this man is alive. Legend.
It's called sheer will to live
This man is an absolute legend.. respect to him
I still don't understand how people have the willpower to amputate themselves.
Will to survive
When it's about one's own survival
imagine having the guts to cut off your own hand
He truly single handedly did that
STOP IM DYING 😂😂😂
his arm: you didn’t have to cut me off-
Bruh
he really did need to cut it off tho?
After he cut his flesh, he used the boulder to break his bones@@Crown703
This man is the definition of the main character
Background music is louder than his voice
You know how "Gigachad" is a funny meme about exaggerated masculinity and all that?... This man is the only one I've seen reaching what I previously thought was an absolute impossibility outside of memes.
The movie 127 Hours is great. Another great movie based on a true survival story (or should I say 'journey' as he doesn't survive in the end), is Into the Wild.
The Revenant is an awesome epic but it dramatized the truth. What isn't exaggerated are most of the scenes; Leonardo DiCaprio went through hell filming that movie; filming in freezing temps, eating raw meat (he's a vegetarian), etc
Also, one of my favourite books as a child was Hatchet. While it's not based on a true story, it's still a great novel for young readers. I never saw the film adaptation.
Jigsaw would be proud
Mad Respects For Him, a True Warrior!!!!🙌
Him climbing all the mountains in Colorado (The state I live in) surprises me, no one else before that hadn’t done it really tells you you can do ANYTHING
I live in Colorado too!
what an absolute legend 👏🏻
I read about this in a Bear Grylls book
I guess you can say he achieved all that one-handed... or one armed
AND HE STILL WENT BACK 😮
Emo kids:hold my beer
Emo kids: hold my gun
Pure determination
There’s also a movie called 127 hours that has Aron in it
I find it overwhelmingly hard to stand without food for just 1 day man this is the most gruesome story I've ever read
Keep in mind he not only had to cut his arm off, but he had to break his arm too before he could cut it. He did this by literally torquing his arm until it snapped.
Mountaineer, mechanical engineer
This man is somehow able to put the camera in all these different places while being stuck in place...
Woah it’s almost like he used his other arm
@@realGHY Woah it's almost like his free arm was showing in the pictures and not holding the camera :O
@@HURR_EMERALDS its a scene from the movie. They made a movie about him. You should watch it.
@@HURR_EMERALDS woah it’s almost like the pictures that showed both of his arms were part of a movie recreating the event
@@realGHY Incredible how people are this slow to figure out simple things out like this. Like he even mentions a movie was made. It doesn’t take much brain power to put 2 and 2 together lol. Everybody wants to be a skeptic nowadays.
not this being on my bday💀
Mine is the 24th
This guy went to my high school
Cool
Wow that hurts
Yup
This was on my birthday
FINALLY SOMETHING ON MY BIRTHDAY
Actually? bet your on a budget after that story come on down to Burger King!
Eat like a king who's on a budget,
Three tasty options, fries, drink and nuggets,
All for five bucks - wait, that can't be right.
Just confirm that that's the real price.
At BK, have it your way.
You rule!
Women: " isnt it weird that we live longer than men?"
Men:
The movie was actually really good 👍🏼😂
This man is the definition of sigma
I heard this story when I was 6
Respect 💯
If you don't wanna wait he cut off his arm cause his arm was stuck in a rock (he used a pocket knife)
he did it with a dull swiss army knife btw
Shanks Sasuke law
Aron is my name!!!!
Gooddd informationnnnn
I knew it i knew it A boulder fell on hes arm i knew it.
I watched the movie for the first time when I was 6 because my dad told me and my older brother to watch it telling us it was based on a true story, unfortunately I didn’t understand and thought it was real footage
When i saw this movie i was crying man all of his friends forgot about him and he was struggling and he only had a litte bit water left in his bottle so he wanted his mountain dew but it was far away from him i mean far away so he cut his arm off cause a big rock was on it the movies could 127 hours
Can somebody tell me the name of the background music?
I watched the movie last week and my respect for this man is thru the roof
Shanks
I watched it it's spossed be back movie
I wonder what happened to that arm afterwards
Probably just left it, I mean damn I don't think he was really thinking about that in that situation
His hands is not there anymore. it took 13 men, a winch and a hydraulic jack to move the boulder, so they can take his arm.
With a pocket knife? How?
look it up
first you tie the arm off to still any bleeding that will occur.
Then you gotta break your bones manually, preferrably roughly in the same spot so they have the same length.
Then you cut. Through your entire arm. With a knife. The good thing is if you tied the arm off properly, there won't be gushes of blood everywhere.
That being said, I don't think there's a lot of things out there that can give the willpower to go through with this other than the raw wish for survival. I probably couldn't do it. I imagine I'd just die in that situation
@@runtergerutscht4401it was a dull pocket knife to
imagine if he cut off the wrong arm
Guts irl
legend his arm is still i the rock
that must have hurt so much
Yup
I saw this man on discovery science with my father
Mad respect
This happened in my birthday
Him: "Amputate"
Me: **Andrew Tate**
Gabe Deyzel
I studied this in english class lmao
I Wonder if a mallet or a small pickaxe would’ve help him chip away the rock so he wouldn’t have to cut his arm off
He didn’t have those types of tools
I was told this story before by my parents!! I was like 8 years old and now I’m 16, so cool to see you talking about it dude
P.S. I heard he actually resulted in drinking some of his own urine to survive, before cutting off his arm. Gross but I thought I’d throw it out there
I watched this movie many times i recommend
They made a movie about this
lEt mE eXpLaIn
the fact that my birthday is on the 26th of April 😭😭

Darn this bone of Mine! It’s gettin in the way
If "tough sumbitch" was a person, respect 💯
Here before viral gang 🎉
I know this one and there was made a movie of it 120 hours is called
This man is a legend but can I just note out the camera man just watching him like 😊 🍲 "cut ya arm biach"
There was not a camera man. The pictures and scenes from the video are from the movie that is included in the end
Man… What a coincedence, april 26? The day day I was born. Why did so many tragic stuff and events happened at my birthday? Like the Chernobyl disaster?
Sorry if my comment is off-topic.
Why didn’t the cameraman help him or call someone?
There wasn't any and the pictures you saw were of a movie
i would rather die that cut off my right arm
dont ask why
Wait is this what the song is about
No
Did he eat his own arm or....
WHAT NO
Saw X
Guts?
So is his hand just there stuck ???
Probably, but depending on how long it has been there, it might have decayed or because of erosion, the rock may have dislodged itself and his arm may have fallen
apparently after it happened like 13 men got his arm out of the rock with some drills or smth, but idk i just saw that from another comment
april 26th is my birthday
Mine is the 24th

What? How? When? What?
out wandering the mentioned location, in a small ravine, all of a sudden rock falls down, arm trapped between a rock and a hard place.
