As I understand it, music show calculations are all done on a per-week basis. Meaning that any sales/views/streams etc are reset for the next week of tracking, this gives groups that have just had a comeback an advantage over a group that's been promoting for 2+ weeks. Social media score is calculated from youtube views, digital is from specific korean streaming platforms (with platforms like melon being weighted higher and downloads being weighted more) and physical is from album sales, some shows also have pre-voting and live voting. Scores for all shows have a "maximum" score for each category and the winner of that category will always get the maximum score, while others get a score that relates to their performance in that category compared to the winner of the category (for example if group B has 20 sales and group A has 10 sales, group B would get 1000 points for physical while group A will get 500 points for physical).
Some music shows also have a "broadcast" category which gives points based on whether the artist has performed on the music show that week or has appeared on that station's programs (for example appearing on weekly idol will give you more broadcast points for "show champion").
You can find all of this information online but it's not that easily accessible which is why a lot of fans get confused when an unexpected result occurs.

Not only does SM own Mystic, but they also own Woollim : ) So Eunbi, Chaewon and Sakura would be label mates again essentially LOL Basically, if Hybe were to acquire SM, and in terms of music labels, they'd own Big Hit, SM, Mystic Story, Woollim, Pledis, Source Music, KOZ (aka Zico...possibly all of Block B???? we're hopeful here LOL), and ofc ADOR and BeLift Lab or whatever that Enhyphen is on ON TOP of smaller labels most people don't even know. And they'd own Bubble, as that's an SM owned app. It's wild X_X

Hopefully if it happens it just means we'll get more consistent releases and a wider net for promotion. Hopefully lol

Love Heechul but besides all that it also didn't sit well with me that he admitted to skipping a Suju schedule (in Indonesia at the closing games ceremony) in 2018 so that he could go to a friend's birthday party and then lied on social media at the time and said he was sick. His participation in Suju is limited cause of his past injuries and now he doesn't perform dance songs anymore anyways but he hadn't completely stopped at that time. I think he needs to curb his drinking and not spill this sort of stuff that'll just make fans end up resenting him.

The sick thing was bad translation. He said he couldn't attend due to his disability and the label let fans know he couldn't go cause he was "sick". The group went abroad and Hee moved on with his life which included going to a party cause why not?? The problem was the long flights and leg problems.
Later haters created rumours saying he lied about being sick just to go to the party. So, he wasn't talking about something he did but what was done to him, that is, being hated and believed to be a liar for actually being sick (disabled)

Well, people will believe whatever they want. Heechul did nothing wrong. He didn't curse at women in general or even feminists. He cursed at an extremist group that hides behing feminism to do evil and are also said to have done criminal acts. They've been attacking Heechul and other celebrities for years. They attacked H*ara and S*lli (Hee's good friends) and after the unfortunate events Heechul sued that group (he won). The cat-moms issue is a similar situation- he cursed at a group that hides behind animals rights to attack people and have attacked him for anything and everything ever since he said he didn't recommend rescued dogs to 1st time owners cause those dogs need more care, so more experienced owners are advised. He referred to them as cat-moms cause that's what the members of that group are known as, so he wasn't attacking middle aged single women who own cats. And he cursed bullies. So, nothing wrong with anything he said. People who hate him just use this "scandal" to keep hating him. And the rad-fem group is working at it over time...

Blockberry are so incredibly stupid. I don't know how they expect to achieve anything by going after the members that succeeded in their cases. All they're doing is becoming more and more hated.
Also it was really cool to see groups like dreamcatcher finally getting that award show experience, I saw some clips of them having fun and vibing to other groups' performances, seems like they had a great time. Even if it's more of a nugu-awards like soribada, it's nice to see that they had a lot of fun with it. It would be incredible to see a group like dreamcatcher at a mnet award show, I know it's unlikely but even just having 1 member there in a collab stage or something would be cool.
