I fostered for several years - until I met the one dog that I just could NOT say goodbye to. He has now been with me for ten years. Best doggie ever.

I started in dog rescue in 1980. Very different back then. I am physically unable now to rescue so it just makes me so joyful to see the younger generation stepping up to the plate and rescuing. When you are older, and can’t do it anymore, you too will feel the same way as you watch another generation of compassionate people step up and rescue. Your life will be so fulfilled when you think back to all the animals you saved. Stay the course!

Until they showed the clip of one puppy with a shoe, another biting on the broom. Nope, I wouldn't be able to take care of that many puppies/dogs. Lol too much activity. 😅

God bless these people. Add being up all night, cleaning up pee and poop all day long, cleaning the yard every day, finding your shoes in tatters . . . these folks are wonderful. So happy these dogs all found good homes.

I'm so, so grateful for these foster parents for fur babies. They allow their hearts to be broken so that the fur babies will find their forever homes and happiness. THAT is the highest form of love this world needs the most.

I think these are the best foster parents ever.
I know fostering is such an important job. You obviously can't keep every dog you foster and I know it's difficult for them to say goodbye, I could never do it. Much respect to those that show them love and are able to do the tough thing when time comes. They are responsible for transforming so many pets lives for the better.

I appreciate that there are wonderful people who will foster an animal and then give it up. I could never relinquish the pet!
We need so many more foster homes in this country because hundreds and hundreds of dogs are being killed every day in shelters for lack of a place to go. I see comments on posts asking people to foster and they say save the dog, save the dog or prayers, and nothing saves these dogs unless people step up to foster and donate to rescues.
It’s really amazing what all these people that foster animals do. I don’t understand what they do for work to have that much time to provide so much care.

These angels on earth that foster these dogs are the best example of humanity. It has to be heartbreaking, saying goodbye over and over again, but knowing it's for the greater good. Amazing people!

My mum & dad used to breed terrier’s back in the day , I’ll never forget mum shouting puppies c’mon puppies and they would run to her for the food. Good times many lovely pups and memories.
