This is a super easy method and anyone can do this.

I like to use wilton candy melts for this project, its so versatile to use and it hardens to a great finish.

I made these little trees, Maj, for a gingerbread house at Christmas time. They looked super cute on the corners of the house. I'm not used to piping with chocolate. How do I keep the chocolate from curling as it comes out of the pastry bag?
is the chocolate maybe becoming hard? sometimes if you add a piping tip to the bag that helps give a better edge. That has happened to me too. however with a piping tip you can;t reheat the bag in the microwave to re-soften the candy melts.
So glad they worked out for you. Often there are some little things that need troubleshooting.
Once we replace our broken microwave I'll try warming up the chocolate a bit more to see if that helps. I don't think I used a piping tip. I miss my microwave! Thanks, Maj.
