Real football played by real men with real fans following it. That Everton team was something else and I think only Derek Mountfield wasn't an international. Great days...
Great win for Everton and superb goal for Graeme Sharp. This result set the tone for Everton's magnificent League Championship winning season 1984-1985.
Reyt goal by Graeme Sharp from a Wednesday Fan. Everton where our ultimate bogey side in the 80's and hammered us a few times at hillsborough in 85 5-1 and in 88 5-0, what a side they had in the 84/85 season, and Neville southall was the best goalkeeper ive ever seen. RESPECT to EVERTON F.C X
A belter of a goal from Graeme Sharp, which if scored by any European or South American would be shown forever and a day! But the bloke who celebrates on the pitch on his own with the yellow coat with his nhs glasses and his programme tucked in his pocket makes this realise what football means in these passionate affairs!! Relief from 14 years of hurt!
Looking back, the football was amazing, on awful pitches. Great British players and great British teams, today it's not football it just money, utterly soulless, the FA sold our game out!!!!!!!!

Make no bones about it. Liverpool fans that night were relieved that it wasn't a 5 or 6 nil hammering. Everton really dominated this game.

Best goal I ever seen by an everton player. And what a player he was . That side gave me the best times of my life at 16 .
Loads of Everton in the Kop.. looks like they were all around the ground..

8:05 Jurgen Klopp looks pleased
When he didn't look like Harold Shipman.
lol.
Haha
LOL
Lol.
We never shone so brightly!!
The game may be faster now, but this looks much more entertaining and with more skill
Joe Fagan had a shocker of a last season. FAC, L Cup, League all disasters and then Heysel. Nice fella though.
Everton fans everywhere..
Liverpool must have had a very strong run later in the season to finish where they did from here.
was there as a red 15 old watching everton almost take the kop mad times some goal was at theirs for the rush 4 us 5 when footy was footy
World class goal!!!!
Then 5 0 against Utd the week after - thanks Howard!
8:03 - Looks like Klopp was originally an Everton fan, invading the field there after the goal
And the Evertonians have gone berserk
Tend to only remember the sharp wonder goal ,should of had 4 or 5
How did Reid miss
How did Heath miss
Andy King...
Off side
