They don’t even have to qualify for the final to be a lovable song. Horehronie is my 2nd favorite song since 2005 and they finished 16th in the semifinal.
I always say Fairytale is the most overrated winner. It ranks quite low for me. Cut away the show the song is boring.

This should be called “My favourite songs from each country. 2000-2017”. It’s very misleading.
So in this 18 year period Zeljko Joksimovic composed the best song of: Serbia & Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia, and Montenegro (totally agree with all 4 btw), what a legend, so sad he hasn't won so far.
Andreas Kounnas I agree I love the last song he performed so much, and Lane Moje is such a beautiful song.
I like this ranking, I Love that includes Rändajad, Shine, Is It True?, Calm After The Storm, A Million Voices, Quédate Conmigo and Herohreni... Slovakia's song is one of my all-time favorites.
There are some choices that I would change, but that's a matter of musical tastes.

Was really glad to see, that you've included most of my favourites: Urban Symphony, Rise like a Phoenix, Valentina Monetta "Vola", Lejla, Lane Moje. And some others, which I like - I Stand, Horehronie, Danger Zone (City Lights), Color of Your Life.
The ones I felt missing were "Always on my Mind" from Azerbaijan and "Wild Dances" from Ukraine. (In the 1st case both the song & performance was great, in 2nd case - song was very simple, but the performance was Electric!)
Oh, and Anouk "Birds" (NL) is hauntingly beautiful, even though there was no performance at all...
If I could add/change just 1 song in this top, I'd put "Birds" there.
And I like "Molitva" (Serbia) - it's really powerful.
But great top on the whole!

Thank you for the enjoyable video. You are a brave person for making it. I was prepared for much disagreement but I was surprised; I agreed with so many songs. Where we did disagree was Azerbaijan (I would pick The Hour of the Wolf), Belarus (my pick is Eyes That Never Lie), Belgium (Rhythm Inside) & Ukraine (Gravity). This video needs an update for 2018 & 2019 so that Cyprus gets Fuego, Estonia gets La Forza, Netherlands gets Arcade & Switzerland gets She Got Me.

I'm not really a fan of how many 2015-2017 songs you included, and I only really found myself nodding at a few of your picks (Rise Like a Phoenix, If Love Was a Crime, Is It True, Je Cherche, and Euphoria, to be exact.) I also personally think you could have made a better choice for Denmark specifically. (Due to personal preference, I'm a little disappointed Only Teardrops and Belgium's Rhythm Inside weren't on the list.) HOWEVER, I understand that this is your opinion and I really really enjoyed the video nonetheless. Thanks for sharing. ^^

Great video, i agree with most of the songs, exept for Italy, i prefer "grande amore" 2015, Servia "Molitva" 2007, Turkey "everyway that i can" 2003, Armenia "Jan jan" 2009, Ireland "it's for you" 2010, Poland "love song" 2004. Ucraike its really difficult for the exellent songs that has sent, "wild dancing" 2004, "shady lady" 2008, "sweet people" 2010 and "1944" 2016.

It's only now that I realize the number of 2016 entries that have grown on me. I originally liked only three or four songs of that year, now I listen to twice as much with pleasure. Mamy songs I listed above are my all-time favourite entries of the respective countries. This is the case of, among other things, Albania, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Finland, San Marino, Slovenia and, above all, Italy.

It's pretty common for country names to be written differently in different languages. Like Latvija for example, in other languages is Latvia / Letonia / Lettland / Lotwa.
I guess in ESC traditionally English is used and Kiev is a more popular / classic spelling in this language?
