  • Get Your Vocal Type & Famous Singer Match: playback.fm/vocal-range
If you're asking yourself "what's my voice type?" this vocal range finder video will help you better identify your voice type, and which singers you have the closest vocal range.
Once you find your range the video includes a vocal range chart identifying ranges for bass, baritone, tenor, countertenor, contralto, mezzo-soprano and soprano voice types. Knowing your voice classification should help you better find which keys you should pick when selecting songs to sing and how to fit into a choir or singing group.

@Ian Salyer He does have an extraordinary range. However in this video, that G1 that he hits... I can croak out one of those, but that doesn't mean I can sing the notes between competently. When evaluating true vocal range, the singer must be able to demonstrate an ability to hit all the those within the range on key and with reasonable vocal quality.

Actually if it's late your voice might be higher. This happens all the time when people try to find their range in the morning and get lower, and then at night they get higher. Your voice will heat up throughout the day when you talk, and will get higher. Just wake up, say something. and think about how deep your voice is compared to when you're fully awake, and well into the day.

High range doesn't matter all too much - it's all about how you control it. Listeners of music don't listen to you taking vocal range tests, they just want a good sounding voice. Even with my range, I need years of practice. Also if you have a low range, that doesn't mean you're bad at singing, because the voice is like an instrument and anyone can learn it!

A very fried C2 to a super airy E5. I was intubated last December and lost a lot of my chest/mix range. I could sing to around E4 without flipping to head voice, but now my high notes are just… gone.
